Zima UX, UI & Design Strategy led the full digital transformation of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Tourism Organization’s portal. The scope included stakeholder workshops, UX research, information architecture, and end-to-end UX/UI design for desktop and mobile in both light and dark modes. The team created a complete Design System, ensured WCAG 2.1 accessibility compliance, and supported the client during the implementation phase.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project resulted in a modern, user-friendly tourism portal with improved navigation, accessibility, and visual consistency. The new design increased engagement and time spent on the site, strengthened the region’s online presence, and provided a scalable design system that supports future content and feature growth.

The project was managed very systematically and in accordance with the Agile methodology. The work was completed on schedule, although we did encounter some minor delays along the way. Despite the time pressure, the final delivery was on time. During the implementation phase, when additional needs for changes and fixes emerged, they were addressed very quickly. The team was always available whenever we needed a meeting to discuss doubts or technical details with the portal developer.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I already knew that the managers were experts in their fields, but the entire project team really impressed me. Their professionalism shone through in every aspect—from research and UX to UI and WCAG compliance. I also have to commend the back-office support team; everything was delivered on time and with full professionalism.

The collaboration with Zima Agency began with workshops, during which we thoroughly discussed our goals, user needs, and key guidelines. Based on these insights, the agency created an intuitive information architecture, designed key pages, and developed the service selection module. They also executed a full rebranding, including a new logo, which seamlessly integrated into a modern and cohesive style aligned with our company’s identity. The website’s design evolved, becoming more modern while still maintaining an elegant and approachable feel. The Zima team delivered a complete set of UI designs and documentation, allowing us to smoothly move into the implementation phase.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is currently in the implementation phase, but we’re already seeing clear benefits. We now have a well-structured design, an intuitive service selection module, and a consistent visual style that reflects our brand. The brand book and UI documentation have also streamlined the development process and improved communication with our tech team.

In the following stages, Zima created another modules for the application, and also designed the user interface for the quality control app for tablets.

Project management was great, majority of it was done by Radek, co-founder of the company, who was responsive, well aware of our goals and limitations, and made sure the work was delivered timely and in scope that we agreed to. Overall, this was a great experience.

Their culture is great - hard-working, friendly, competent and no BS specialists. This, mixed with their intelligence and drive to deliver high quality end product made the cooperation smooth and satisfying.

In the design process, when creating the final UI, we spent more time than we wanted making sure everything was consistent - there were small, but important details (such as color code for call-to-actions, or inconsistencies between the same elements in various places of the website) that were incoherent in many places, and on every stage of finalising UI appearance we had to give feedback to it.

Zima was committed to meeting our expectations and success metrics. They focused on ensuring that the deliverables could be easily implemented, so they worked with developers during the design process to ensure a smooth implementation. 
To show the designed animations in the app, the UI designer created a clickable prototype, which also helped to ensure the smooth implementation of the project. Their team is well-organized and knows how to listen to the needs of the client. Working with Zima means collaborating with great specialists who have been in the market for several years.

They speak in business language, not industry jargon, which you as a client might not understand and which makes communication within the team difficult. The UI designer, Kuba, created stunning graphic designs. In their designs, Zima remembered to maintain logical transitions between users, resulting in a consistent project.

We needed help designing and structuring a fully self-service online configurator to streamline our ordering process, reduce manual sales involvement, and improve the customer experience from product customization through checkout.
