The team took a Shopify site with a separate brand name (Luxury Bath for Less) from our parent company name (Waterworks) and built that up steadily over the last several years to become a target key word search in and of itself. We have grown our online presense and revenue year over year, with our annual revenue before Zero Gravity trending at 1.5 Million to last year's revenue coming in at close to 4 million.

Anytime I had an issue or provided feedback on what was or was not working for me, they have pivoted quickly and effectively. I truly have nothing negative to say. They have handled our account beautifully.

Challenge was to expand SEO and paid strategy after a company acquisition. There were immediate needs to carry over existing SEO progress to a new site, and also to start making progress with new keywords and content.

From there, they built out a plan and worked very closely with our entire team. We knew exactly where we were making progress each step of the way. Regular reporting meetings were crucial, and the personal touch was very much appreciated.

ZGM was able to deliver immediate and ongoing boosts to SEO results, as well as strategy to help optimize paid advertising budgets.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow with ZGM was smooth and communication was excellent. We eventually started to utilize Slack for messaging. Regular virtual meetings with the larger team also helped everyone stay on track.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

ZGM is able to scale but keep the personal touch. They're able to handle a lot and really shine when it comes to SEO. You don't know what you don't know. Fortunately, ZGM does know, especially about SEO tools and strategy that will make a difference.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I actually wish we had all gotten on Slack earlier than we did. It's an excellent way to keep a growing team in the loop. But communication was already great in other forms.

We were looking for someone to manage our online marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, they did a wonderful audit to let us know about the goals and objectives and they really understood it. Then, they brought fabulous ideas to promote cancer awareness.

Zero Gravity Marketing basically handled all our organic marketing for our products through a number of different platforms. We had a presence in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Tik Tok.

I worked closely with Keith (Partner & Chief Marketing Officer) and Amy (Social Media Strategist). I would work with other team members for strategy and creative, so I would be in contact with around eight people.

How did you come to work with Zero Gravity Marketing?

We were looking for a new social agency, and I found them online. We reviewed four other agencies in addition to Zero Gravity, and they won hands down.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $20,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in April 2019 and they’re still working with the foundation to this day.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their work is excellent. They helped with our social strategy. They were always on time putting together social calendars and are always coming up with innovative ideas that would attract new audiences. Our engagement went through the roof — over 100% across a number of platforms when they came on board.

How did Zero Gravity Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management basis, they are great. We worked with Trello, so we always knew what was on the docket to review. They came up with ideas and proposals on time whenever we asked them what they could do that’s new, and they always came through.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about them is that their ideas are certainly the most innovative, on-strategy, and cost-effective. They’re just amazing people who are fun to work with.

No, not really. They went above and beyond with the service, and they were just really great to work with.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice would be to just look at Zero Gravity and talk to them about your needs. They’re one of the fastest-growing companies in Connecticut. They’re often overlooked because they’re not down in Manhattan, but if you put them up against any New York agency, they’re going to be the winner.

We have moved to Number one for several search terms that are relevant to our business. We are top page on every category. Our monthly organic and paid traffic continues to grow.

We were looking to raise our brand awareness and engage more with our customers. Our social media exposure before ZGM was limited to just LinkedIn and a few videos on YouTube.

We now have added a Facebook page as well as launched a monthly social media calendar that presents Defibtech with the same branding across our multiple platforms. We have definitely seen a big lift in exposure and have set the foundation for our future branding growth.

What were your goals for this project?

Raising our brand awareness and starting to gain exposure for our social media platforms was our goal. This was the first step in starting to leverage these platforms to expose Defibtech's brand and mission to as many customers as possible.

How did you select Zero Gravity Marketing?

When I was promoted to VP of Global Marketing one of my first goals was to be able expand our capabilities by utilizing an outside agency. Josh Comen reached out to me via LinkedIn after we connected and invited me to visit ZGM.

At the visit, Josh was able to hit on many of the points I wanted to see and showed the ZGM had an expert on staff for any part of marketing we wanted to expand on. I visited a few agencies and had intro calls with a few others. Ultimately I felt most comfortable with ZGM.

ZGM and Defibtech had quite a few kick-off and discovery meetings to discuss how Defibtech wanted to be presented online. ZGM then conducted a social media audit and presented their findings to us so that we can agree on a branding path going forward.

Once that was agreed upon, ZGM began to clean up and rebrand the platforms and began to work on the first monthly social media calendar. We now have monthly meetings to review the analytics of our social media platforms as well as meetings to review our upcoming calendars. As our social media platforms stabilized and began to produce results, we entered into a paid media campaign to drive lead generation.

I have worked closely with the Executive VP, Social Media Strategist, Paid Media Strategist as well as various other members of the ZGM team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since we kicked off our social media campaign, we have seen engagements and impressions rise month over month. LinkedIn has seen nice growth while Facebook has experienced a great launch as we begin to have a more strategic approach.

Working with Josh and the team has been great. ZGM uses Trello to manage the campaign but Josh, Jasmine and Eamonn are always available to chat through zoom or email when needed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Most impressive attribute about ZGM is the creative team they have assembled. Everybody that Josh has brought to a meeting has been an expert in their part of the business and really has helped us begin to build a marketing foundation that we can leverage for future lead generation and brand awareness.

One improvement I would like to see is to have paid media strategy be more aggressive. However, that will come in time as budgets are improved.

I work for a manufacturer of dry cleaning finishing machines and boiler room equipment. We are a family owned business with 13 employees. I am responsible for the accounting, freight logistics, drafting of custom machine design, inside sales, and more.

Our company had a very dated online presence along with dated brochures and branding. We hired Zero Gravity Marketing to redo our website, take new pictures of our equipment, design new brochures, design new logos, and do ongoing SEO.

The goals for these projects were to give my company a fresh new presence in the world and drive new traffic to our company by implementing SEO. We anticipated this revitalization to our company to help drum up new business and bring our company into the 21st century.

How did you select Zero Gravity Marketing?

As many others do, I googled local web design and marketing companies. I knew I wanted to select someone local in my state. I came across their portfolio and liked what I saw. I reached out to them and received a call back very quick.

We discussed what we were looking to do for our company and we hit it off right away. It felt like a good fit from the start. Their enthusiasm and ambition to work us had me sold.

The project started with us focusing on our website. We knew we wanted a new logo and that is where we started. After several designs, we chose one and based our color scheme for our site around the logo. As their team started to design the website, I was working on gathering all the information I wanted on the site.

I also helped to coordinate all the products we were going to photograph for the project. Zero Gravity brought in a photographer and set up a small studio in our building. We ending up shooting about 20 products.

They took the photos, cleaned them up and made them print and web ready. During the whole web design process, we were in constant communication bouncing ideas off each other and making sure everything was how we wanted it. Part of our redesign was SEO.

We went into this knowing that it would be an ongoing process. A process we still work on 6 years in, as things are ever changing. We came up with an extended list of keyword and phrases that pertained to our industry.

They helped to research the words and implement them into our site. Another component of this was to add a monthly blog post to keep us relevant with the search engines and to keep our company showing high up in the searches.

The next project we tackled was our brochures. With the new logos and product photos, it was time for them to be revamped In the present, we are working together monthly to increase our search rankings by working on our blog posts and SEO

The outcome from the projects have been great! We received many compliments on our new look and new site. We also started to gain steam with the SEO, hitting #1 rankings for many of our keywords. We couldn't be more happy.
