Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The purpose of the project was to transform an existing iOS app into a React Native app. Zenbit managed to recreate the app to an extent so that it would not be possible for the user to see the difference between the old and new app, with exactly the same functionalities. On top of this they managed to transfer all the data from the old app to the new app without any issues.

They were furthermore requested to add a number of new features that were not a part of the original app. Together we decided on the specific details of the features and afterwards Zenbit added the new features which included new screenshots as well as changes to the backend.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Today the new version of the app has been launched and it has been working very well since launch. There has been few bugs and the few times that there were an issue Zenbit were very responsive

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The project took longer than orginally planned, but that was because it was important for me that every single detail of the app was perfect. This meant that we spent much longer on the testing period than was originally planned. They did not try to push things faster becuae of dealines, but instead the followed my requests.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The whole team has been incredibly committed to ensuring the success of the project. They have taken the time to listen to every request and to execute accordingly. At certain times when I was in doubt, they provided the necessary guidance in order for me to be able to make the right choice and move forward. 

To begin with I was worried about working with a developer that was physically far away and worried that it would affect the communictaion and commitment, but it has not been the case at all. I will therefore continue to work with Zenbit going forward.

Are there any areas for improvement or something ZenBit Tech could have done differently?

When we were working on the new features it was nevessary for Zenbit to develop a number of new screens. We did not have a designer involved and it therefore took some time to get the design of the screens right for them to match with the existing app. This was as much my fault as we did not get a designer involved.

We are developing a software solution to aid our clients' remote diagnostics using our proprietary medical device. We initially developed our POC, however, we quickly realized that solution was not scalable.

We sought the help of ZenBit Tech to help us upgrade, scale, and make the system compliant with HIPAA regulations. Our aim was to move from the POC stage to a production-ready solution. We wanted to quickly develop such deliverables in order to have a more solid and scalable product that could integrate with existing EHR/EMR systems.

We received numerous proposals and Zenbit’s proposal was the one we found most impressive. Moreover, they showed us several relevant cases similar to our solution and demonstrated relevant expertise. We had a couple of calls and then decided to begin the development phase.

We developed POC of the medical device which collects all necessary data about the client for initial screening. This device should integrate with different varieties of medical software such as EHR/EMR etc.

The team consists of a Tech Lead, 2 Full-stack developers, AQA, and a Project manager.

As we are a startup, we need to move very fast. So, we started at zero. Now we have a stable product with full functionalities and we are implementing ongoing improvements.

One of the aspects of their team that I am very impressed with is their responsiveness. They hustle, they get tasks done quickly, and they keep me focused.

We are working on one of our digital products that will help our clients manage quality and regulatory documentation. ZenBit is helping us develop the platform from an early stage.

We sent RFQ to several software development companies based in Western and Eastern Europe. One of the deciding factors was the depth of expertise in the healthcare and MedTech domains. Since our product completely focuses on healthcare startups and organizations, it is highly important for software development to know all of the aspects to which they need to pay attention to build the relevant product.

When we started our cooperation with ZenBit, we were in the early stage. We started from the discovery stage and prepared together with all of the necessary product documentation and technical specification. The next step was UX/UI, where ZenBit helped us create wireframes based on the high-fidelity design. In the next stage, they delivered the first MVP version of the product, and now we are continuing with the new integrations and our cooperation with ZenBit.

Team compositions constantly change depending on the stages. The core of the team is: Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Tech Lead, Front-End and Back-End Developers, and Manual and Automation QAs.

As for the main outcomes, I would admit that we have a ready product that we are constantly improving for our clients' needs, and ZenBit helps us with that – from the early concept stage to integrated improvements.

We have weekly and daily meetings with the development team on deliverables, which are met in a timely fashion. Typically, we communicate via Slack and Google Meets. ZenBit's Business Development Manager regularly contacts us to make sure the project is running smoothly and to our satisfaction.

Their previous experience of building MedTech products helps us a lot regarding the common understanding of the concept and our customers need. They are attentive to details and goal-oriented, and their processes are very professionally structured.

The quality of the work has been great at this point. To date, working with ZenBit has been a pleasure.

I'm the project coordinator of a software development company. We're working to develop a mobile app as well as an administration panel for one of our clients. This product will allow people to store their vaccination records and provide personalized recommendations for travelling to different locations.

We had just a general idea before entering into a contract with ZenBit. They started with wireframes and created stories/flows based on this, which after several iterations, were taken forward to develop the full app.

It is a cross-platform solution for iOS and Android. They did not just deliver our requirements, but helped in talking us through different security aspects we had not considered, demonstrating how this could be advantageous to us and our users.

We worked with a project manager, UI/UX designers, frontend and backend developers, and manual and automation QA. We have always had between 4 to 8 of their team members working with us.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Both our iOS and Android apps have been tested by a few hundred users, and neither has had any crashes. Our internal testing and user feedback have all yielded positive results. The user experience and flow of the app are exactly what we wanted. We are really happy with the final product and are excited to keep working with them.

We have used different channels to communicate. Mainly, we interacted via Slack and used Zoom for calls. On a ticket-management level, we worked with Jira. For design work, we mostly leveraged the tool Figma for design. The project manager dedicated to our project was incredibly skilled. This was an indispensable part of the success of our project.

Overall, ZenBit has truly been exceptional in terms of punctuality and communication. Without her as our project manager, I'm not sure we would be where we are today.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a competent team that has integrated well with our company. Their price point is very competitive and they’ve never gone over budget. They stick to deadlines, but stay realistic about the deadlines they set.

I'd recommend ZenBit to anyone considering working with a project team, since they helped us to deliver a high-quality product and understand them as a development partner.

I can’t think of anything. The has been a very high-quality experience.

The deciding factor for hiring ZenBit was their knowledge of the industry, clear communication, and experience with creating GDPR-compliant software. In addition to this, ZenBit was recommended through one of our technical advisors, who had very positive experiences with them from previous projects.

We wanted to build a telemedicine-related proof of concept. The solution is to connect our patients to therapists with all health-related and sync data from the proprietary medical devices to show it in EMR. We wanted to build this out to be a full-service application for our patients.

We’ve now gone through this entire life cycle with them multiple times to create apps for patients, therapists, caregivers, loved ones, and clinicians. They came into the relationship with some experience in the Medtech field and helped us built the first POC.

Zenbit helped use to build the solution in accordance with GDPR, with detailed attention to a high standard of cybersecurity of the product in the industry.

We worked closely with the ZenBit tech lead, scrum master, cybersecurity engineer, and several full-stack developers with QA engineers.

POC was delivered within the planned time and budget according to the Discovery Phase. We continued working closely with ZenBit on the next iterations of the product, which we had in our roadmap.

After the Discovery Phase, which was done before the development stage, ZenBit prepared a clear plan of delivery with the milestones and strategy of when and what type of specialists need to involve to make POC cost-effective and deliver with our suggested timeline. This worked excellently, and the administrative overhead was kept to a minimum.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Throughout the engagement, we’ve been consistently working with a high-quality specialist. They know the specifics of our industry quite well. They did a great job of proactively adding value to our business with suggestions and feedback

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As a company, I can’t think of anything they could improve on. Any individual issues were resolved quickly.

I am the Information Technology Manager. Our company owns a platform designed to provide better access to care for patients. It allows medical facilities to connect with independent contractors and employees.

We had a product acquisition and we needed to integrate the product with our current software ecosystem.

How did you select ZenBit and what were the deciding factors?

We sent out an RFP and quickly narrowed down our search to three companies. ZenBit's communication immediately stood out because of their health care experience. This allowed them to finalize the concept and execute the bulk of the discovery phase.

The very first step was to develop an architecture solution for the integration with the current software ecosystem, which was done with ZenBit during the discovery phase. After integration, the next step was improving the stability of the product by providing quality assurance and integration of automated testing services. Last but not least was the integration with our current EHR system to analyze DICOM scans.

We worked with about seven people from their team. The team was comprised of one senior solution architect, two engineers, two QA automation specialists, one project manager and one DevOps.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We went live with a new product in September 2019, and have since implemented our proprietary software across all clinical studies. ZenBit continues to work on monthly releases. They’re building out new feature sets based on our product roadmap.

There’s a project manager who acts as a Scrum master. We followed a two-week sprint approach, which helped us to deliver new updates regularly. We use Microsoft Teams and Zoom for communication, and Jira for project tracking.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were able to think through our problems and bring unique solutions to the table. The quality and thoroughness of their development services are great. In our industry, things change very often. However, they were a truly collaborative partner in this effort. Their responsiveness was hugely important in keeping everyone on the same page. They understand everything from the big picture to the smallest details, but execute quickly and thoroughly once decisions are made. All these aspects have been the most critical for us, as they bring value to every part of the workflow.

Not that I can think of.

I’m the co-founder and CTO of a telemedicine platform.

We were looking for someone to work on a telemedicine platform almost from scratch.

What were your goals for this project?

The original request was to develop a complete solution with EMR integration, booking system, and secure chat and video features using the latest streaming technology.

My co-founder found ZenBit. We took in many other bids for our product. We considered the cost and domain expertise of the company as well as how they would work with our particular set of circumstances. We decided that ZenBit had the best combination of those criteria.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Their team helped us to design the apps using tools such as Figma. Then, they coded the web platform and continue to code the mobile app principally. Their team both writes and deploys the code.

They used WebRTC to establish a video conference platform that has recording and all the features necessary for video conferencing, including associated administrative and security controls.

On the web app, their team used NodeJS and ReactJS. They wrote the app in a mixture of JavaScript and TypeScript. Their team used the React Native framework for the mobile app, which is both an Android and iOS app. They provide great feedback to give us a lot of insights to create our platform more secure and scalable which is highly important for us.

What was the team composition?

We worked with a project manager and 4 developers at the very beginning when we were needed to deliver MVP as soon as possible. Right now, we continue working with two developers and a project manager.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We were able to deliver MVP version in time which was extremely important for our business. A secure and stable product is another pillar that is critical for us and ZenBit showed us on practice that it is able to deliver the product in high standards in the HealthCare industry.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They do a very good job and delivery a quality product on time. They inform us about the situation with delivery timelines and any other possible challenges which we can have. The communication model is very transparent and it helps us keep the administrative overhead at a minimum.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

ZenBit impressed us with their ability to work independently with only high-level instructions from us. There was no micro-management necessary. They showed us a high level of technology and domain expertise which help us be all the time on the same page.

I work for a small startup. We are developing a mobile app and cloud infrastructure. Both will interact with a Raspberry Pi Bench computer.

What challenge were you trying to address with ZenBit?

We started the project with a local developer but quickly brought in ZenBit to help build the mobile app and flesh out the architecture.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They do all our front- and backend development. The project was to start from the ground up, as we had no infrastructure in place. They did some research on which tools would be best to build out our UI, and they did a great job narrowing down the tools we considered. We use React Native and Python, and our database is in Firebase.

We talked to one individual about staffing, then we had one primary contact and developer. We recently brought in a second developer, and the primary contact oversees the project.

How did you come to work with ZenBit?

We found them on Upwork. I liked their background, and they clearly had experience in the realm we wanted to work in. I've worked with offshore teams before that didn't think about the big picture. When we conducted a technical interview, they proved they had the skills to oversee the whole project. They're also in a better time zone than our previous vendors, and their responsiveness made us feel like the overlap was much better.

Our total cost is over $30,000 so far.

We started working together in May 2018, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They meet all our acceptance criteria, and we're getting into more finite release planning. Overall, they're very prompt with their delivery. I feel like I'm working with a team, and they are very forward thinking. They're interested in the business as a whole, and they make suggestions for marketing, security, and ways to stay on trend.

How did ZenBit perform from a project management standpoint?

They're good project managers. They are clear with staffing changes, and they work well with us. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team approach is a major strength. Their well-rounded thinking about the company and the product as a whole make them an exciting team to work with. They communicate well with our team, and they promote education within their team. If they're ever unfamiliar with a subject, they find courses to learn about it. I really appreciate the management of their teams and their customers.

No, I feel like I'm the one holding them back. They do a good job with code coverage, test cases, and infrastructure.

Document your solutions and give them visibility into the overall project. If they see the big picture, they'll work ahead and factor everything into their decisions.
