We were looking for a development team for our partner who is from the Advertisement Industry. Their website was created a long time ago on WordPress and has since had many facelifts. Cosmetic changes were not overcoming the issues with speed. What’s more, our analytics showed a growing number of visits from Mobile Phones.

This was the reason for relaunching the website and creating a mobile app our users would love. We hired You are launched to redevelop our website from zero - but keeping all of our content with SEO intact so that we could capitalize on our traffic.

We found them through Clutch by looking for custom software developers whom I would be able to trust. I have shortlisted a list of companies and when the timing came around - I reconnected with the founder to discuss a larger project which we are now in the process of developing. First, we had several calls to discuss needs and the project scope. Later, they got back to me with an offer to work on the design and investigation phase. Also, we proceeded with the clickable prototype, which gave us flexibility. Once the discovery phase was completed we were able to collaborate visually and see the finished look of the website and the app before the development phase began. This helped us to clarify tonnes of points in the estimate.

We worked with the founder, designer, several developers, and a project manager. They invited us to Slack and the project manager handled 90% of the communication and client needs, which was very convenient for us. Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have finished the prototype, and have the alpha version ready. Now, we are working on attracting users and fulfilling our database with the content. We have more work to do, and I’m sure that till the beta version, we would be ready to launch.

Communication was great, we had a ClickUp for task tracking, a chat workspace in Slack, and Hubstaff for time tracking. When the development phase reached its later stages - we were able to login to the development environment and add changes to things like marketing copy directly ourselves which was nice.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Everything. Normally when you see a company with a great design portfolio like You are launched, there is a tradeoff. They provide you with a high level of support with both design and development. The quality of their work is higher than our expectations. This is what we were happy to pay for. Highly recommend them.

They are pretty perfect, have nothing to add.

 • answer check mechanism with a panel displaying code outputs;

 • tracking user's educational progress and preferences;

 • editing, deleting, and upgrading user profile;

 • having different states and sortings of learning courses (active, upcoming, featured, etc.).

2. 3rd party services integration and setup:

 • AppStore in-app purchase integration;

 • CleverTap/Branch/Facebook analytics integration;

• Again, the human-oriented approach - the desire to make a better product over the desire just to deliver it. 

• The mentality of winners. I am impressed by how these guys managed to get through all the struggles and pains of the war in Ukraine. I purely admire them! 💙💛

I have suggested a few minor things to customize for our project's management in their ClickUp - like tags for app beta-versions and splitting tasks into thematical groups for a better picture. And the guys quickly applied these suggestions to make it even easier to communicate with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since the project is ongoing, we don’t have any metrics. However, we’ve been pleased with the You are launched team’s work and haven’t encountered any bugs yet.

How did You are launched perform from a project management standpoint?

You are launched has delivered work on time and according to our requirements. They’ve executed an agile project management process, and everything has been fluid and easy. The team has managed the project digitally, and we haven’t had to deal with the hassle of paperwork. Furthermore, we haven’t been delayed by validation because they’ve eagerly moved to the development phase. 

The You are launched team has communicated effectively, which has made it easy for us to move the project forward and change directions when needed. They’ve been very responsive via Slack. Additionally, we’ve used Figma to annotate their work and share daily change requests, and they’ve consistently implemented the necessary changes.

I’ve been most impressed with the team’s expertise and efficiency; they’ve worked very quickly. They’ve reacted well to our feedback and done a good job implementing it.

We had funding to build an MVP for a new project aiming to support women from non-English speaking backgrounds throughout their pregnancy. However, we had a short timeframe to turn the project around, so we sought external providers.

You are launched provides us with mobile app development. Initially, we gave them high-level functionality specs. Then, they went through the UX design phase and built wireframes. The team has developed our app for iOS and Android. 

The platform is a multi-lingual pregnancy app. One of our requirements was that the app is scalable to include multiple languages. Although we're testing the app only in English and Arabic for the moment, we'll include more languages in the future, so scalability is one of our priorities. 

We've also asked You are launched to make the app very intuitive and simple, considering some users might have low technical literacy. They've also added functionalities for the app to handle written text and audio because some of our target users have just arrived in Australia from refugee backgrounds, with interrupted access to school. In terms of feedback, our partners from different health organizations have found the app visually appealing, culturally appropriate, and intuitive. Because ours is a pilot program, we have a closed user group. Therefore, our success metrics aren’t about uptake in the community; we’re more focused on how the users engage with the application, and the app won’t be available for just anyone in these initial stages. Overall, You are launched is very responsive, helpful, and fast. Working with them has been really great.

You are launched is really friendly, responsive, and super fast to work. Some providers can be very slow, particularly in Australia, so You are launched’s speed is a highlight. The team is also very responsive, which is great.

They are easy-going in chatting, I remember the design stage and it was impassive. We finished all the work in 1.5 weeks which is pretty quick for me and we could proceed with the development after. We were getting testing builds weekly, so I could see the ongoing result. I have experience in working with development companies, and this one is really impressive. You don’t need to wait for months to see the working version, you can see the feature-by-feature delivery and this provides an extra leap for the client.

I liked everything in their work - speed, quality, price. We had a chat channel where I could put any question and were receiving detailed answers. They were making a Demo of app versions and it led to extra discussions and extra updates. Also, I had access to the Task Tracking tool and TimeTracking tool, but they were managing everything by themselves.

They were fully dedicated to the result and were generating ideas on how to make my app even better. They would stay my tech partners for years.

We had a client from the weight loss industry for whom we designed an app. He wanted to have a native app and I know no one except You are launched who could do it better. As we were doing branding and design for the project, it was very critical for us to have smooth app behavior and animations in it and that’s what they did perfectly.

I heard about You are launched on the local market but never worked before. Once I’ve checked their feedbacks on Clutch I decided to try to work with them with one of our clients. They’ve got our points from half of the word, and quite often proposed ideas on how to make it work even better. As we, so the client were receiving testing builds nearly every week, so we could see the work progress. I even received a letter of gratitude from our client. He wrote: “Thanks Arsentii for sharing such a great team. They are the best”

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I like their work process but the most impressive thing about them for me is their ability to predict risks. For instance, once we’ve started there was no news regarding iOS 15 but till we were getting closer to the release date, they mentioned what might be changed on the iOS side, and that points should take some extra time. I would say, it was the bull's eye shot as I’ve tried the latest build on the first day of the iOS 15 release.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have experience in IT for more than 9 years and I would add an account manager to their team. So, it would be much more comfortable to discuss prices, changes, and pitfalls. But we didn’t experience anything like that, so everything was great with them for me.
