Yord has recently created on of our Diesel simulations. This is the second simulation they have worked on for us. The goal was to get the simulation into our November release cycle for it to be released towards the end of November. Previously we have worked with YORD on another simulation which was released in July 2022.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected YORD based on their portfolio and good reviews. We work with a growing vendor pool of 10-20 vendors who provide a development service for us. Our vendors are located all across the globe, we decide on vendors to work with after our internal interview process. Once we've accepted the vendor they work on one simulation at first, if satisfied we try to continue working with the vendor and increase their work overtime.

We provide a written storyboard/Technical specification for every simulation we assign to vendors. The vendor would then dive in and give us a budget estimation. Once the estimation is approved we provide access to our repositories containing art assets and our in home framework.

The work is done in Unity (C#). The vendor is part of a weekly review cycle with dev support, this includes one of our technical partners and a designer who reviews the sim on a weekly basis. A simualtion consists of 2 major part (tutorial and Hands on training) The key deliverables are a finished tutorial, which is then reviewed by senior designers. the next deliverable would be the full simulation (tutorial and hands on practice). after which the final deliverable would be a finished release candidate.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

YORD has been an outstanding vendor. Their deliverable have been of great quality. We use an internal QA team to extensively test our simulations during the process, YORD has consistently provided top quality simulations with little to no issues. In their last simulation, they managed to have a tutorial review (one of our milestones) without a single issue logged. To my knowledge that had never happened before. The overal amount of issues found in simulations created by YORD are far under average. I can only assume they have a very strong internal QA process.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Communication from YORD had been great. Due to the quality of their product we don't need much communication. We can trust them to deliver a quality product without much guidance. As a project manager at Transfr we usually have a couple check ins with the vendor during development (weekly reviews, standups, etc). With Yord I felt no need to regurarly check in, their PM would proactively let me know about issues in the rare case there were any.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of their work compared to other vendors we have worked with was astonishing. Many vendors require some time to get into the flow of our framework and usually don't hit their first timeline estimation. YORD provided us with an estimation that was on the low side, we fully expected them to go over and they managed to deliver a product without issues within a timeframe that seemed very short for a new vendor.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Personally, I could not name anything they could improve on. YORD is the only vendor out of our vendor pool that we haven't had any issues with.

We're a start-up composed of four artists graduated from the Higher Institute of Professional Education of Thiès in Graphic and Digital Art, who have the desire to enhance the Senegalese cultural heritage through new technologies. After doing extensive research, we saw that the Yord studio offered impeccable services in virtual and augmented reality and We have seen that collaborating with them will allow us to carry out our project with their dynamic team.

the stages of this project were numerous because after having had a local partner which is the Senegalese manufacture of decorative arts of thies which housed this prototype it was deemed necessary to find a startup of size in order to collaborate on the web part xr and Vr space optimization and suddenly we went through stages like photography, photogrammetry, 3D space design and VR

Let's say that there was a team of developer and 3D design but especially the CTO of Yord as well as the Project Manager who very well managed the project in the long term.

Yes because at the end of the project we organized a restitution ceremony which brought together cultural actors as well as art enthusiasts in order to present the project to the general public where there was a virtual visit through reality headsets virtual and the presentation of the site to allow to visit this museum from a distance

During development we had weekly video calls on google meet with their project manager Maya to make sure everything was on track. If there wer any delays, they'd let us knox ahead of time. Outside we communicated throught Discord channel , email and video call

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were really happy to collaborate with us on the project; they are very organized in relation to the tasks in the company. and make sure that the work is completed on time and within the deadline.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

f there are points to improve in relation to our collaboration it is the speed of responding to us in the discord channel but apart from that everything is spot on

YORD STUDIO has helped us with video production and AR/VR. We have an unusual project, and they’ve found out how to take the footage of the pictures out of the metaverse. They’ve done the video editing and shot part of the production. They use Oculus.

We’ve spent €1,500 (approximately $1,500 USD).

We started working together in June 2022, and our relationship is ongoing.

They’ve exceeded our expectations. We haven’t used the video for commercial purposes yet, but the content has performed well in views and ratings.

We communicate through email, phone calls, in-person meetings, and video calls. They meet all of the deadlines seamlessly and meet us halfway in everything.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They think out of the box. YORD STUDIO thinks individually about every project. They listen to their customer’s needs and come up with unusual but creative ideas on how to proceed with the challenges.

I saw webinar "Digital Promotion 2020" and after that I contacted 3 companies which attend this project. After a few meeting we decided on YORD STUDIO. The reasons for them are mostly because we love their solutions. Other reasons were very smooth negotiations and a fair price.

They created an app that include 4 parts (projection of 3D model, connecting a 3D model with a real machine, and 2 projections of 3D parts of machine). There is possibility to show how fluid seeds from tank of machine into the soil. We provided to YORD 3D models from our designers and also some photos and videos.

Before we signed the contract I mostly spoke deal with CEO and then with Operations Manager and CTO.

We mostly create this app for fairs and other shows. Unfortunately because of the COVID, we are still waiting for first fair where we can use it.

In the beginning we had meetings and video calls to come up with a final form of application. Then we had a few video calls when some parts were done. Mainly because we are from the same city, the communication was perfect. Every time I call or email them, I get a very quick response.

We were impressed with their graphic design skills.

I have no idea, everything was perfect.

At the first meeting, we talked about what would help us the most at the moment and how YORD can help us with that. We agreed that something modern like the AR filter on Instagram will be a great tool for our target group. Together with our graphic designer, we provided the studio with materials a they wonderfully developed and created a beautiful filter for us. In addition, they helped us with its deployment on our Instagram page.

Hi, I'm Yuri Smishkewych Rey. As the Web & Media Specialist for Oceana in Europe, I coordinate all of the digital communications (web site content, social media, and email) outputs for our four campaigns that are creating a more healthy and abundant ocean.

Our Habitats Protection Campaign team was looking for a way to communicate how important seamounts are as biodiversity hotspots to the general publics.

After looking at different interactive media, we decided that an Instagram filter would be the best way to engage audiences and help demonstrate the characteristics, fauna and flora of these truly unique "oases" of the world's ocean--all while having a bit of fun.

SOLUTION

How did you select YORD and what were the deciding factors?

We had a shortlist of possible service providers from a list made up of our sector's network and own professional LinkedIn networks. After a bit of shopping around, we saw that YORD's services, customers reviews, previous work (esp. with with NGOs) and pricing were the perfect fit.

From day one, YORD helped us conceptualize the idea and develop its narrative so it would work within this platform (Spark AR).

After looking at our original schematics, reference images and other background documents, YORD started prototyping the filter, giving us periodic demos on an almost daily basis. The product went through approximately a half dozen test versions before it was finalized within a record time.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Although still a living social media (SoMe) campaign, our initial evaluation from the launch yielded excellent results: Our filter, and its related promotions, increased our cross-platform reach and engagement numbers exponentially when compared to the previous month.

On the qual side, we received very positive feedback from a number of organizations within our sector as well as internally within our organization.

Excellent., I believe that YORD's forte lay in their project management and communications. They are very amiable and always a pleasure to speak with.

We had a number of periodic video calls that ranged from brainstorming sessions to actually training us on how to us the platform as well as follow-up calls. Now-a-days with so much "Zoom fatigue," I prefer calling by phone and it's great to know that I can talk with anyone at YORD just by picking up the phone.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Creative, organized, innovative, patient...the list goes on. The YORD team and the way its managed is a model of what modern service providers should be. They were extremely professional, easy to relate to, and explained things in a very clear and understandable manner. And this was regardless of your technical knowledge or specialization.

I cannot think of any areas that need improvement as we are truly satisfied with YORD.

I am the Director of Global Campaigns at Human Rights Watch. We are an international human rights organization that investigates and reports on abuses around the world. We hired Yord for an AR game development for our end client adidas France and the game was physically installed in a parisian football store. The goal was to create a game which generates customer interest, the customers go into the store, play the game and buy the product after having a positive experience

How did you select YORD and what were the deciding factors?

There were various options online but YORD immediately caught my attention, we arranged a personal meeting and I immediately knew that these guys would give it 120% and they did so my assumption was right. I was very happy with the outcome.

As a Project Manager at Rizlly I have cooperated with Yord on an AR football game for a parisian football store where adidas France was the end client. The deadline was super crazy (just 4 weeks), but the Yord team put an extreme effort, working overtime and went an extra mile to deliver a stunning result. I can´t recommend them enough! We had a kick off where we theoretically discussed what could be included in the game and we agreed on what is technically doable. We worked on an agile basis discussing MVPs and bits of functional SW every 4-5 WD. We used classic tools like Trello, Slack guys used UNITY for coding..

The game was successfully launched in the parisian store, the customer was superhappy about it so that he decided to use it in the future again, which made us all very happy.

We had a kick off with the team, YORD prepared a detailed project timeline in order to have the timing covered. There was one project managed on their side who cooperated and communicated with me (Project manager on the Rizlly side). This project manager (on YORD side) then shared details within their team and reported to me as a representative of the whole company. It was a great team effort

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

they were extremely reliable, extremely quick (bear in mind that they developed a damn cool game in just 4 weeks), well organized, excellent project management and project planning, and they were willing to work overtime and go the extra mile in order to deliver top results.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing that I can really think of. Maybe they should push for more time because then, they would be able to deliver even more stunning results, I am 100% sure about.
