We're a start-up composed of four artists graduated from the Higher Institute of Professional Education of Thiès in Graphic and Digital Art, who have the desire to enhance the Senegalese cultural heritage through new technologies. the stages of this project were numerous because after having had a local partner which is the Senegalese manufacture of decorative arts of thies which housed this prototype it was deemed necessary to find a startup of size in order to collaborate on the web part xr and Vr space optimization and suddenly we went through stages like photography, photogrammetry, 3D space design and VR

Let's say that there was a team of developer and 3D design but especially the CTO of Yord as well as the Project Manager who very well managed the project in the long term.

Yes because at the end of the project we organized a restitution ceremony which brought together cultural actors as well as art enthusiasts in order to present the project to the general public where there was a virtual visit through reality headsets virtual and the presentation of the site to allow to visit this museum from a distance

During development we had weekly video calls on google meet with their project manager Maya to make sure everything was on track. If there wer any delays, they'd let us knox ahead of time. Outside we communicated throught Discord channel , email and video call

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were really happy to collaborate with us on the project; they are very organized in relation to the tasks in the company. and make sure that the work is completed on time and within the deadline.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

f there are points to improve in relation to our collaboration it is the speed of responding to us in the discord channel but apart from that everything is spot on

YORD STUDIO has helped us with video production and AR/VR. We have an unusual project, and they’ve found out how to take the footage of the pictures out of the metaverse. They’ve done the video editing and shot part of the production. They use Oculus.

We started working together in June 2022, and our relationship is ongoing.

They’ve exceeded our expectations. We haven’t used the video for commercial purposes yet, but the content has performed well in views and ratings.

We communicate through email, phone calls, in-person meetings, and video calls. They meet all of the deadlines seamlessly and meet us halfway in everything.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They think out of the box. YORD STUDIO thinks individually about every project. They listen to their customer’s needs and come up with unusual but creative ideas on how to proceed with the challenges.

We wanted to create an AR application that will help us to describe to our customers how our OMEGA machine works.

I saw webinar "Digital Promotion 2020" and after that I contacted 3 companies which attend this project. After a few meeting we decided on YORD STUDIO. The reasons for them are mostly because we love their solutions. Other reasons were very smooth negotiations and a fair price.

They created an app that include 4 parts (projection of 3D model, connecting a 3D model with a real machine, and 2 projections of 3D parts of machine). There is possibility to show how fluid seeds from tank of machine into the soil. We provided to YORD 3D models from our designers and also some photos and videos.

Before we signed the contract I mostly spoke deal with CEO and then with Operations Manager and CTO.

We mostly create this app for fairs and other shows. Unfortunately because of the COVID, we are still waiting for first fair where we can use it.

In the beginning we had meetings and video calls to come up with a final form of application. Then we had a few video calls when some parts were done. Mainly because we are from the same city, the communication was perfect. Every time I call or email them, I get a very quick response.

We were impressed with their graphic design skills.

I have no idea, everything was perfect.

At the first meeting, we talked about what would help us the most at the moment and how YORD can help us with that. We agreed that something modern like the AR filter on Instagram will be a great tool for our target group. Together with our graphic designer, we provided the studio with materials a they wonderfully developed and created a beautiful filter for us. In addition, they helped us with its deployment on our Instagram page.

Hi, I'm Yuri Smishkewych Rey. As the Web & Media Specialist for Oceana in Europe, I coordinate all of the digital communications (web site content, social media, and email) outputs for our four campaigns that are creating a more healthy and abundant ocean.

Our Habitats Protection Campaign team was looking for a way to communicate how important seamounts are as biodiversity hotspots to the general publics.

After looking at different interactive media, we decided that an Instagram filter would be the best way to engage audiences and help demonstrate the characteristics, fauna and flora of these truly unique "oases" of the world's ocean--all while having a bit of fun.

We had a shortlist of possible service providers from a list made up of our sector's network and own professional LinkedIn networks. After a bit of shopping around, we saw that YORD's services, customers reviews, previous work (esp. with with NGOs) and pricing were the perfect fit.

From day one, YORD helped us conceptualize the idea and develop its narrative so it would work within this platform (Spark AR).

After looking at our original schematics, reference images and other background documents, YORD started prototyping the filter, giving us periodic demos on an almost daily basis. The product went through approximately a half dozen test versions before it was finalized within a record time.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Although still a living social media (SoMe) campaign, our initial evaluation from the launch yielded excellent results: Our filter, and its related promotions, increased our cross-platform reach and engagement numbers exponentially when compared to the previous month.

On the qual side, we received very positive feedback from a number of organizations within our sector as well as internally within our organization.

Excellent., I believe that YORD's forte lay in their project management and communications. They are very amiable and always a pleasure to speak with.

We had a number of periodic video calls that ranged from brainstorming sessions to actually training us on how to us the platform as well as follow-up calls. Now-a-days with so much "Zoom fatigue," I prefer calling by phone and it's great to know that I can talk with anyone at YORD just by picking up the phone.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Creative, organized, innovative, patient...the list goes on. The YORD team and the way its managed is a model of what modern service providers should be. They were extremely professional, easy to relate to, and explained things in a very clear and understandable manner. And this was regardless of your technical knowledge or specialization.

I cannot think of any areas that need improvement as we are truly satisfied with YORD.

We already had a great and successful collaboration with Yord for another client, so when another opportunity came, they were our first choice.

According to our creative strategy, we discussed options that were available for our client. Yord offered several ideas and recommendations, including options with different budget. After final concept was chosen, we sent necessary visual assets, which were afterwards developed into desired AR filter. Communication through the whole process was very smooth.

The AR filter had great results, it was twice as successful than the benchmark and brought many leads to the profile, website and also awareness of the product.

I am the Director of Global Campaigns at Human Rights Watch. We are an international human rights organization that investigates and reports on abuses around the world. There were various options online but YORD immediately caught my attention, we arranged a personal meeting and I immediately knew that these guys would give it 120% and they did so my assumption was right. I was very happy with the outcome.

As a Project Manager at Rizlly I have cooperated with Yord on an AR football game for a parisian football store where adidas France was the end client. The deadline was super crazy (just 4 weeks), but the Yord team put an extreme effort, working overtime and went an extra mile to deliver a stunning result. I can´t recommend them enough! We had a kick off where we theoretically discussed what could be included in the game and we agreed on what is technically doable. We worked on an agile basis discussing MVPs and bits of functional SW every 4-5 WD. We used classic tools like Trello, Slack guys used UNITY for coding..

The game was successfully launched in the parisian store, the customer was superhappy about it so that he decided to use it in the future again, which made us all very happy.

We had a kick off with the team, YORD prepared a detailed project timeline in order to have the timing covered. There was one project managed on their side who cooperated and communicated with me (Project manager on the Rizlly side). This project manager (on YORD side) then shared details within their team and reported to me as a representative of the whole company. It was a great team effort

they were extremely reliable, extremely quick (bear in mind that they developed a damn cool game in just 4 weeks), well organized, excellent project management and project planning, and they were willing to work overtime and go the extra mile in order to deliver top results.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing that I can really think of. Maybe they should push for more time because then, they would be able to deliver even more stunning results, I am 100% sure about.

As a Product Manager I am a part of our Surf Studio (an inspirational working area) team, where I work on several exciting projects. Our Annual Innovation Report describes both internal and external projects that brings something innovative to our clients and employees. The format of this document has to be interesting for its readers. We were lucky to meet the start-up Yord and the idea of making our Report in Virtual Reality was here.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal was to provide our employees an outstanding experience by "reading/watching" the Annual Innovation Report so every colleague can remember at least 5 innovative services which our bank is doing for our clients.

How did you select this vendor?

We got a great reference from our Start it programme leader who recommended the Yord company to us. Yord also delivered several presentations on VR/AR topics which demonstrated that they have a strong team to come up with the solution we need.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

First of all, Yord created an interactive pdf document and then turned it into Virtual Reality. It sounds easy, but there was a lot of work behind it. They provided the pdf document with a clickable menu which navigated its reader through 7 chapters full of infographics, web links, videos, pictures and animations. Here is a short description how the Virtual Reality by Yord looks like.

The user is sitting in a yellow armchair while discovering the Annual Innovation Report using just hands. The user sees in VR the yellow chair on the beach by the sea and in front of him is the document, videos and special effects that are related to a specific chapter. There is a menu on the armrest of the chair so that the user can browse the report easily.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project helped us to educate our employees about innovative projects which were done within the Group by using a different communication channel (which VR definitely is). They got a picture of what is planned for 2020. It also increased a better cooperation between involved departments on the Group level.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

First of all there was a project preparation where we gathered all the content for our Annual Innovation Report - project descriptions, pictures, short videos, animations and so on. Then we met with Yord graphic designer to talk about the design of the document in pdf format.

Then everything went really smooth. We had several status meetings to see how the project is going. We used secured account on Google drive for exchanging/reviewing the files. Then Yord turned the pdf into Virtual Reality and there was also a live demonstration in our Surf Studio using 3D Oculus Quest head set. No other project management tools were needed in this case.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their flexibility is incredible. They did maximum to deliver the project in time and they always found a nice solution to our requirements, even if we asked for changes at the last moment.
