I am VP of Engineering for a SaaS software company that provides Fleet Management software.

For what projects/services did your company hire Xipe ?

We hired Xipe to grow our Software Engineering team utilizing outsource/nearshore resources.

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

I selected Xipe based on timezone and location, quality of software engineering people, and the engagement received from the Xipe staff. Also, the ability to travel to the Xipe office regularly to work side by side with our team was an important factor.

Xipe hired 2 software engineers and 1 test automation engineer to work alongside our existing engineering team in Arizona. Since then we have added 1 additional engineer and 1 UX/UI designer to the RTA Xipe team. These team members from Xipe work directly with our Product Development group to continuously build and release new software features in our flagship products.

We discussed our technical requirements and our company and team culture with our account manager and the recruiters at Xipe. Xipe did initial technical screening and our RTA team participated in second stage interviews before the hiring decisions were made.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

All of the Xipe engineers have proven to be exceptional, both in technical ability and in emotional intelligence. They have integrated with our US team extremely well!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The Xipe team has been very responsive, anytime there has ever been a question on our side of where things stand in a workflow they have always gotten back to us very quickly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Xipe is unique in that they truly adapt each member of the team to your company's style and culture. This approach has significantly increased the time needed to achieve a high level of productivity with the RTA Xipe team members, as compared to every other outsource company I have worked with in the past.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I can think of is to simplify the cost model. Xipe is open and transparent about their approach. It made them very affordable and competitive in their market. At times it was a bit of math on my end to get it into numbers that would fit into our budget model.

We were looking to hire a variety of IT professionals, instead we were offered to receive more for less. XIPE helped us to speed up our platform, reduce the server's load and better structure our code and data base.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

By reference from a closer friend. A friend hired them for an app development project and had a good experience.

We had a kick-off meeting where we defined our needs and how they could solve them. After agreeing on an MVP, we started working on it with weekly follow ups. Each week they would tell us what work was being done and shared their screen to actually show it.
