I’m the Founder of Thursday. We’re a design agency.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Wow Company?

They’re our accountants, handling all of the top-level work in that field.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

While they offer tax preparation and bookkeeping, we utilize them for larger-scale tasks like our annual returns and tax computations. They also work with our business consulting vendor.

Throughout the pandemic, The Wow Company was on-hand to help with furloughing, as well as mental health.

What is the team composition?

We work with quite a range of people. Hannah (Accountant) is our account manager, and we work with different resources on different services. There are probably 3–4 people in total.

How did you come to work with The Wow Company?

Accounting is one of the areas I’ve struggled with over the years. We had a provider, but they were a bit too big and expensive for us. The Wow Company was recommended by another of our vendors, and we started using them straight away.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent around £20,000 (approximately $27,600 USD) with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked together since June 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They understand agencies better than any accountant I’ve ever worked with. They’ve also helped us with some R&D work, which has put money back onto the business.

How did The Wow Company perform from a project management standpoint?

They have their own bespoke online tools, but, generally, we work via email. They also offer a support desk that manages any tickets we have.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Hannah is a brilliant accountant — The Wow Company's knowledge stands out as a whole. They’re flexible, too, and many accountants I’ve met in the past have been purely black and white. They're good at coming up with different solutions and different ways of seeing things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a bit more reactive sometimes, as it takes them a while to get back to me sometimes. On the whole, however, I don’t have to wonder if I’m a priority.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I highly recommend working with them.
