Kodestarters is a custom software development company primarily working with new startups. I’m the founder and president.

What challenge were you trying to address with WonderWild?

We wanted to better define the user experience.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They work on UI [user interface] and UX [user experience] projects for us. They also work with my clients to help with creative and brand strategy. One of the projects we’re working on, Story Tell will be launched shortly. It’s a photo-sharing app with a very targeted demographic. It was important that we create a UI/UX that were very simple but differentiated itself by how it looked and interacted with the users. In the beginning, we made a design sprint with the customer and a third-party marketing agency. Then we did user testing on the wireframes and then additional testing on the overall UI. After that, they worked independently with the customer to provide all of their branding and identity.

How did you come to work with WonderWild?

I wanted to find a group that understood my challenges of working with UI and UX. I also needed to find a group that could create an interface that could connect with users on an emotional level.

How much have you invested with WonderWild?

The project cost was between $10,000 and $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This project began in May 2016 and was completed in July 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The feedback was excellent. The user testing was some of the best we have seen. The quality of the presentation was probably the best we’ve done to date.

How did WonderWild perform from a project management standpoint?

WonderWild works quickly, and any delays were because of me. We have met personally because WonderWild is local, but we communicated primarily through instant message and over the phone. I had a dedicated project manager.

What did you find most impressive about WonderWild?

WonderWild is very enjoyable to work with which makes communication simple. Their quality of work is high level.

No, I have nothing to suggest.

We have an established brand that has been around for a very long time. While our brand is strong, it is antiquated, and it may not relate well to our target market. We knew where we wanted to go but didnt know how to get there.

Refresh our established brand to something more relevant to today, an attractive new look and message that still gave credit to our roots.

When we hit an obstacle, they put in more work than we had originally agreed upon to get the project finished. We were very appreciative.

WonderWild completed the logo, branding, web design, and code in a little over two months. All of our stakeholders were quite happy with the outcome of the project.

The project management and workflow processes were excellent. Seth (Creative Director, WonderWild) and his team did a great job of providing a production schedule for the entire project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The turnaround time was quite fast for a project of this scale. Everything ran smoothly.
