The foundation (amongst others) brings together politicians, representatives of think tanks and universities from all over the world to discuss issues of political, economic and social importance. I'm responsible of organizing the conferences we are celebrating in Spain and Portugal.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Wild Wild Web?

We needed the branding for the newly issued conference "International Forum on Democracy" which up from 2018 is aimed to be celebrated every year in Madrid, Spain.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to spread a global image for the new conference among young politicians from countries all over the world where democracy is not yet developed as it should be.

**SOLUTION**

I searched in Google for Madrid based design companies, asked for proposals to 5 companies and after the process of evaluation, I chose Wild Wild Web because of the quality of their portfolio, the agility in getting back to my concerns and the good quality-price relation.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Wild Wild Web had a very well defined branding procedure. We first did - what they call - the analysis and definition of the Brand Platform - that consisted in a variety of questions and interviews with the final goal of getting all the information about our foundation and to be able to fully understand the vision of the brand, in this case, our conference.

After this process, they presented us a document in which they defined the archetypes, values and vision amongst others. They sent us a really cool study about different conferences in the political and non-political spectrum. Afterwards they sent us three proposals of branding which we all found to be very adequate. We chose the one we liked best. They elaborated a brand manual and they designed all the items we required for the conference: Logo, Poster, Roll Ups, Name Tags etc.

**The Review** — Nov 17, 2016

**Feedback Summary**: In six months, the new website has generated a 47% increase in users, a 48% increase in page visits, a 60% increase in sessions, and an increase in overall traffic. Wild Wild Web had a clear understanding of the business and the project and maintained excellent communication.
""They treated us very well."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am in charge of the online marketing for Calamo & Cran. It’s a school, editorial services and translation company that offers formation of producers and correctors, and editing professionals in general.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wild Wild Web?

We had a very outdated website. It was very archaic in general and it had been around 7 years already. Things have been changing considerably and I wanted to offer a more modern and appropriate image, and at the same time more in line with Google’s requirements. It wasn’t mobile responsive so that was a challenge.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We had Cesar and 3 other developers assigned to the project. They treated us very well and closely. They proposed an image change that we didn’t want in a first instance, but we got to a middle ground that I believe has resulted very well for us. Later, when they started to develop the site, we could add any changes that we wanted because all the possibilities were done through an online tool. We are honestly very happy.

**SOLUTION**
How did you come to work with Wild Wild Web?

I believe we met through a project that they did for Porsche. We asked for a budget and at the end we liked their level of price, service, and web aesthetics.

How much have you invested with Wild Wild Web?

I would not be able to share this because they offered the possibility of paying in small increments.

What is the status of this engagement?

We continue working and touching base here and there.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

In reality, the traffic has increased in 6 months and the number of sessions has increased around 60%, users a 47% and the number of visits to the page is 48%, less pages per session but its probably because we have an integrated blog. The duration of the media session has decreased a little to 11.86%. Our rebound has decreased a little, an 8.53% and that’s it.

How did Wild Wild Web perform from a project management standpoint?

We had some meetings and later when we entered the testing phase in which we had to upload the content. The communication was done through an online tool... I can’t remember its name, but the communication is done as a typical ticket: I submit something that needs to be changed, the person does it, checks the task as done, and if there are any doubts, I get an email.

What did you find most impressive about Wild Wild Web?

I think they understood the project very well, so they have been able to put themselves in our shoes and we’ve maintained good communications. They understood the business, the idea we wanted, the capacity that we have and from there, they have done what I believe is a good work actually.

Are there any areas Wild Wild Web could improve?

We’re very happy with them so I would not be able to say anything negative because nothing negative happened. The professional aspect of course, but at a personal level, it is also a good relationship so we’re very happy.

## Portfolio & Awards

### Porsche Spain
Tradition and Innovation
Porsche is one of the most recognized and valued brands worldwide. One of the key values of the German company since its foundation has been innovation and that maverick spirit; both concepts fit perfectly with our philosophy of design and development.
We take care of the online marketing, the strategy, the management and the analysis of social networks of Porsche Spain.
Porsche has a very defined digital identity in which clients are fans and followers. Relevant content is the key to build a community. The choice of topics should be adapted to the online and subject to each channel and target environment, always betting on original and high-value content.
We seek an active community that besides consuming content, participate and become a prescriptive brand, to do this, we will encourage conversation, interactive communication scenarios to make possible new experiences. It’s not enough to just generate the content. We must promote a dialogue between the brand and the audience.

### Multiasistencia
Rebranding of the international leader in claims processing in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and Brasil.
Multiasistencia is a multinational Spanish firm born in the early 80s and specialized in outsourcing services for corporations especially in the banking and insurance world.
We created the restyling of the brand image and develop different landings and websites for their services. We also develop their corporate Intranet.
Evolution or revolution
The old image of Multiasistencia needed a revolution. It did not transmit the image of being a leading company in the sector and the challenge was precisely that, to provide the company with a visual identity that reflected its importance. To do this, we studied the competitors' brands, created a business canvas and developed different proposals based on the company's values. The final brand is an evolution of the M and the A, which appeared in the old logo, but in this case, embodying the values of the company. One of the most important of them is the adaptability, as it is a company that offers personalized services to other brands, and their capacity for adaptivity and flexibility is what makes them indisputable leaders within the outsourcing sector.
The anagram is complemented by the Avant-Garde typography, a sans serif in its lighter weight that brings modernity and innovation.
Personality: chromatic range and typographies
The colors mark the personality of a brand. In this case, we gave continuity to the orange, which had been the main color of the company since its foundation, in order not to move too far from its essence. We eliminated the dark blue and replaced it with a turquoise that combines perfectly with the shades of orange that act as the primary color in the brand. The corporate typeface is Avant-Garde, a geometric sans serif typeface designed by Herb Lubalin that combines extraordinarily with the brand's smooth anagram.

### Project with Helvetica Wine
As great lovers of typography, at Wild Wild Web we wanted to pay tribute to this influential font. To do so, we talked to the Linotype foundry, the owner of the rights to the Helvetica font, and we presented the project, along with several bottle prototypes. When they gave us the green light and we set out with the project.
The most influential typography
The Helvetica typeface is considered by many to be the most important of all times. It was created in 1957 by Max Miedinger on the basis of a request from Edouard Hoffmann (Haas Foundry) to modernize the sans-serif style of this typeface house. The font was Haas Grotesk and was based on the Akzidenz Grotesk of the Berthold Foundry from the late 19th century. Miedinger redesigned the typeface, turning it into the "Neue Haas Grotesk".
Wine selection
The wine selection was a very pleasant but responsible task, as much of the wine was going to be marketed internationally. This meant that, after more than twenty blind taste tests, we chose a young with some barrel influence, 100% tempranillo from the Bodega Torre de Barreda with a mild and robust flavor with an agile entrance, suitable for all audiences.
Bottle design
A tribute to the most important typography of all times required a high-level design. For this, after several prototypes based on adhesive labels, we opted for a bottle with a screen-printed design and respecting the essence of the Helvetica as much as possible. This way we would not only make a bottle of wine but also create a collector's item for all lovers of design and typography.
We took care of every detail, we printed all the Helvetica typography around the cork stopper of the bottle and we made a series of 150 bottles lacquered with a seal of Helvetica Wine.

### Totalsurfcamp
A fresh new surfing experience
Totalsurfcamp is an online travel agency where you can find surf experiences worldwide.
We were in charge of branding, website development, and management of all online marketing processes since the conception of Totalsurfcamp.
A brand that's a bit sneaky
As it is an international project, the brand name had to work well in different languages and be very descriptive of the business, so that there was no doubt about the role of the business.
For the logo we choose a customization of a script typography that reflects the natural, alternative and somewhat rascal style associated with the surfing community.
In addition to white and black, we chose two colors for the corporate identity: turquoise green and purple. These colors generate a pleasant contrast between each other, and are a creative and innovative choice. Turquoise green reminds us of the crystalline beaches of this shade that are so appreciated among surfers.
Responsive and user-friendly design in which photography is the main character
We developed the website in Drupal with adaptative responsive design based on a clean and "user-friendly" graphic style in which the photography is the main character.
The primary goal of the site is the booking of online experiences for an international audience. The simplified User Journey that conditioned the entire process of interface design was:
Search -> Listing with reviews -> Booking
We didn't invent anything new, we simply applied the already proven formula of other online tourism giants to this niche.
This is undoubtedly one of the most complex websites we have developed as it is a 2 side marketplace that has to work for users looking for a surf experience and for managers of surf centres who want to promote their experiences.
The main features of the platform developed in Drupal include the following:
Content in 7 languages with automatic translation system against Google Translate API, dynamic content depending on the location of the user through smart IP, payment management system and credit card subscriptions based on Stripe, invoice generation system, messaging system between users and surf centers with email notifications, different roles and control panels for standard users, managers of surf centers or managers of several surf centers and freemium system to automatically highlight in the lists and covers those surf centers that contract a premium plan.
Marketing for a 2 sides marketplace
We manage Totalsurfcamp's social networks, where we spread the atmosphere and energy of the surf camps and the exotic destinations where they are located. We focus on promoting the experiences offered by the surf camps and the characteristics of different countries so that every surf fan can find something to their liking.
We created and developed a blog with articles on topics related to surfing, from tips and tricks for surfers at every level to news and curiosities of the world of this sport.
In order to promote the web and the created contents we also manage the e-mail marketing campaigns.

### Project with Domo Architects
Planning, designing and building the brand for a prestigious architecture studio.
Domo is an architecture studio located in the heart of Barcelona that specializes in the renovation of existing buildings, both residential and for other public or private uses.
After years of operating under the name of its founder, we were hired to create a new brand that would convey the current status of the company.
Brand platform
Through a consultancy process, we carried out the strategic analysis and diagnosis of the situation to later define the identity and experience of the new brand.
We were looking for an identity that conveyed two concepts: design and construction. We proposed a design based on the graphic sample of the dome, represented by a semicircle.
Naming
If the brand is a repository of meanings that build value and preference among our audiences, the name is what represents us.
Among the architecture studios, there is an over-saturation of names that refer to their directors and the client wanted to avoid that. We were looking for a name that was very easy to remember, with a clear sonority and above all that was closely associated with the world of architecture. From these premises arose Domo.
In order to know the meaning of the term dome, first of all, it is necessary to discover its etymological origin. In this case, we can explain that it derives from the French word "dôme", which means "dome" or "round roof". However, it should not be forgotten that this Gallic term, in turn, comes from the Greek 'doma', which can be translated as roof. The idea of dome is used in the field of architecture with reference to a cupola. It is a vault in the shape of a half-sphere or similar that can cover part or all of a building.
Visual identity
Through the concept of the dome we build the idea on which the visual identity is based. Using only semicircles, as the minimum graphic representation of the dome, we composed the typography that gives life to the brand.

### Project with Bocademia
Creating a brand for a new restaurant franchise concept.
Bocademia was born out of the dream of two businessmen who seek to create a new fast-food chain with food from Malaga (Spain).
A franchise model that offers the famous Andalusian breakfasts and lunches all over the world: molletes antequeranos, pitufos, serranitos, tapas and of course the different types of coffees from the region.
Brand Platform
Through a consulting process, we carried out the strategic analysis and diagnosis of the situation to later define the new brand's identity and experience.
A fresh concept was proposed, based on a healthy, ecological and natural alternatives. We escaped the coldness of traditional fast food to continue being as welcoming and friendly as a typical bar in Malaga.
Naming
If a brand is a repository of meanings that build value and preference among our audiences, the name is what represents us.
During the process, we always kept in mind that we had to express our uniqueness with respect to other similar chains through an impeccable brand that transmitted Mediterranean warmth and good service.
The name had to be fun, easy to remember, efficient, familiar and ambitious. Bocademia was chosen because it transmits everything we wanted from the very beginning
Visual identity
The symbol or anagram of Bocademia is the graphic representation of a smile. It conveys one of the most important values of the brand, which is joy. In addition, thanks to a game of words in Spanish, the anagram with its mouth shape is the simplification of the brand name: Bocademia.
The 3 corporate colors of the brand that we used are the blue of the sea, the red of passion and the yellow of the sun. With them, we created an imagery of ornamental elements, illustrations, and patterns that can accompany the brand in its various applications.

### Project with Febest
Upgrading the identity of the prestigious multinational company of the automotive industry.
Febest Autoparts is a multinational company present in more than 25 countries and dedicated to the distribution of high-quality car parts.
We took care of the rebranding of the company, maintaining its essence without separating it visually from something that was already recognized and respected.
Visual identity redesign
The first thing we did was to adjust all the strokes, spaces and curves present in your old logo. We enlarged the kerning and gave balance to each letter and its entirety. We gave different typography and spacing to the phrase "Auto Parts" that completes the logo with a sans serif typography.
Later we proposed to change the frame for a text tablet preserving the original curvatures but adjusting to those of the typography it contains. Changing the line for the mass of color gives the brand a greater solidity and reliability, values that the customer wants to emphasize in a remarkable way.
The last step was the color since originally the brand was black. We chose to use red, a tone that is also the most valued in the automotive sector.
Applications
On the basis of the corporate identity manual, we created a series of stationery and packaging elements, as well as promotional pieces. In all the cases we repeat the indications of typography, color and marked layout.

### Project with Grupo SM
Designing the digital ecosystem. From details to everything.
Grupo SM is a Spanish publishing house specialized in educational materials, with an extensive catalogue of more than 9000 titles sold in 80 countries.
We worked hand-in-hand with various departments in the company to help them develop a Design System that would allow them to standardize the design of dozens of their digital assets and serve as the foundation for creating new top-level user experiences.
Design system: a collaborative working methodology
A design system is a collection of design tools and methodologies that are used to reduce chaos and accelerate the design processes of any development team.
We were in charge of creating the parts of the system with the highest UI/UX load, such as the definition of the design language and the creation of the component library with examples of application.
Component library
We created a component and style library so that it could be easily used by any development team. By assembling the components and following the guidelines set by the design language, any web development team could create a layout quickly and correctly.
Examples of application
In order to understand how the design system works, it was necessary to create examples of different displays and layouts, so we got down to work and designed more than 40 different formats.
