What challenge were you trying to address with WePrototype Technologies?

We needed help with mobile app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our Android and iOS app. It’s an educational app where there’s a teacher or lecturer teaching through a video and students from Nigeria can subscribe to it. 

The app is being tested now and though we don’t have content yet, people can now download it. We’re also working on correcting and modifying some of the app’s features.

How did you come to work with WePrototype Technologies?

I found them in a Google search, and their name came up first. I contacted 3–4 companies and sent an email to them. The WePrototype team was the first to reply to us. When I went to them, they understood what I wanted.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

WePrototype has delivered a good product, and the app meets international standards. I’ve shared it with my colleagues and friends, and they all say it’s excellent.

Any time I call them, they respond. WePrototype is great at their job.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very proactive, and they’re always ready to help. We also appreciate that WePrototype gives advice about the project.

Hash App is a simple investing app that lets retail investors in the US easily trade and invest in both the US markets, and globally especially in emerging markets stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. - Think Robinhood to invest globally. I am the Cofounder/CEO

For what projects/services did your company hire WePrototype Technologies?

We outsourced the entire Engineering to WePrototype, from Design, Prototype, Front End, Back End Engineering, Project Management, and all that is needed to build a Mobile App both on Android and iOS.

What were your goals for this project?

Build a mobile app that is world-class and would be used in the US market.

How did you select WePrototype Technologies?

When we set up to look for an App Development Company to build Hash App, we wanted a company that had a global level of expertise to build a sophisticated app that will be used primarily in the US market. In a bid to choose the right company to build the Hash app, we shortlisted 9 companies from outside Africa and three from Africa including WePrototype Technologies. We did a background check on them and chose them because I found out the founder and his team have an impressive track record of building a number of successful tech products in Africa. I was quite impressed with the feedback I got concerning the founder and his team. When I met with the WePrototype team I knew I was in safe hands. I have no regrets about working with them. They have been very committed to my project and I will recommend them to founders at every opportunity I get.

Describe the project in detail.

A simple investing app that lets US retail investors invest both in the US and globally, especially in emerging markets stocks, bonds, mutual funds – think Robinhood to invest both in the US and globally. Once we selected WePrototype Technologies, We had a series of meetings with them which further solidified why I wanted to work with them. They did a proposal they broke down the project scope in terms of user requirements, infrastructure, integrations & APIs, etc. They went further to draw a process flow, followed mock-ups and designs. We are presently at the development stage. The app should be ready by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2021 after getting regulatory approval from the US SEC.

What was the team composition?

There is a Project Manager, 2 Front End Developers, 2 Backend Developers, 1 Designer, 1 QA Specialist. Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Project Manager, Graphic Designer, UI/UX Designer, Android Developers, Client Advocate, and PR.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Hash App is at the final stages of development that would require some complex integration into third parties broker-dealer clients' APIs. This integration would be completed once we get the go-ahead from the US SEC with these Broker-Dealer Partners. Hash App would be ready for use in the 3rd Quarter of 2021.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There has been ease of communication. When the pandemic hit, it was still very easy to collaborate, especially for a hands-on person like me. I can reach out to the Developers, Designers, or any member of the team I need at any point in time without any hassle. Our review sessions are more like knowledge-sharing sessions. They enlighten me on a lot of stuff. It feels like WePrototype is the Technical arm of HashVest Technologies Inc. They are professionals!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They do not take projects like it is just another project. They are always immersed in my projects. They always give the assurance that I am in safe hands from the quality of their output. Everyone who has seen the designs and prototype for Hash is amazed that it was done by a Dev Shop working from Nigeria.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is always room for improvement for every business around the world. For WePrototype they need to showcase more of their expertise. More people need to know that they are excellent at what they do. They are a Nigerian company operating with a global standard. They need to do more of showcasing their expertise.

I'm a co-founder of a startup called Eatonhill Investment Ltd. We exist to enhance SME's capacity to seize opportunities. One way we achieve this is by providing working capital loans through our mobile application - VendorCredit, which ensures quick and easy access to credit by SMEs.

Trying to minimize our cost, we sought a platform which would enable us to offer our services to our customer easily, securely and conveniently. A Mobile application was identified as the preferred tool and Weprototype was selected as the company to deliver on the same

What were your goals for this project?

Our key goals were simple language, easy process flow, security and convenience.

How did you select this vendor?

I wanted a reputable company in Nigeria to build me a fintech app. There were so many options.

I was struck with WePrototype Technologies from the moment I spoke to a team member. As I met with more team members, I was comfortable. They understood me. I was their first client and that did not seem to bother me. They had so much experience in building software solutions.

The CEO, had extensive founder experience that was very valuable to me. I have no regrets till date. My app works fine and they still support me in my business development. They also helped me with other things like building me a webpage.

A fintech App that helps vendors of multinationals get quick and easy access to loans within 24 hours. Include desired features and/or technical requirements where possible safe registration and logging in, Document upload Payment integration Ticketing Data capturing

The goal was to build an app for Vendors with large contract orders have access to funds to carry out their contract and repay after delivering. After strategizing with WePrototype, the idea was put to design and developed into a prototype. A payment system was integrated on the app.

IOS and Android. It is native. It also complements a website. Advisory, Playstore optimization, Branding

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was successful. We have been able to gain clients. The app is very easy to use. Bugs are fixed in record time. The support system is fantastic.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There was ease of communication and most importantly, their response rate was very fast.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They take on client projects like it was theirs. They offered a hand-holding experience to me. I felt like a member of their team. They were always looking out for ways to minimize my cost and go for minimum viable products.

I initially thought they were expensive, however after working with them on my project I honestly saw value in every kobo spent.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There will always be areas for improvement for every business. For WePrototype, I think they should do better at promoting their services.

Verinanny App as the name implies is designed to verify nannies and domestic workers before hiring them. The app was designed to separate the good from the bad rather than leaving them in the system and giving room for another family to fall victim. Features include:

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project was successful. We have been able to work on getting data on the app and we still populating data on it as it is a continuous process. The support has been awesome.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The teams were very proactive and impressive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Honestly, it would be between their excellent delivery and their advisory role in my project. Their designs are of international standard. They kept on advising on ways to push the brand and opportunities to explore in taking the brand to the next level. Overall management of communication and deliverables.

Change is constant and the strength of every organisation is the ability to improve and that's one trait WePrototype Technologies exhibits.
