We worked with Wells to refresh the logo of one brand and create the logos for 3 new brands. Once the logos were complete, Wells helped us to build out full identities and branding guidelines for all 4 brands.

We looked to Wells to establish the new look and feel for the compan(ies) moving forward. This resulted not only in having foundational assets for us to build off of internally, but also to invigorate the brand overall, inspire the current employees and help to define what this new era will look like.

Wells had excellent time management and communication skills. He not only met all of our deadlines but worked to meet our demanding and ever-changing timeline needs with grace while still producing fantastic work.

We chose Wells because of the way he begins all projects- through pencil to paper with hundreds of hand-drawn sketches in the initial exploration phase. In an industry where digital and Ai approaches often take the lead, we were excited by Wells' classic approach.

They did a great job bobbing and weaving with our requests. I have no feedback on areas for improvement!

Wells worked with our agency to uncover, ideate, and develop a new identity for a new direction for our agency, along with some icons to summarize our core services. Through rounds of discovery, concepts, revisions, and approvals, he was able to deliver:

1. A new brand identity system, complete with various forms of a new logo. 
2. A set of five icons.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Wells was able to deliver a few things:
1. Several forms and rounds of communication with our team, including email and virtual meetings.

2. A complete logo kit file, including several variations and colors of an approved logo direction.

3. A basic visual identity guide, detailing each logo, brand colors, and typefaces.

4. A complete brand icon set file, including several colors of approved graphics.

Wells was extremely punctual to all meetings and over-communicative on his process and responded to each question and email promptly. Additionally, when I wanted to be probably slightly more hands-on in the refinement and development process, he was more than open to have virtual meetings where we would talk openly about his process and where we wanted the new identity to go. It was refreshing to have a design partner be willing to be so collaborative. Ultimately, the outcome was more personal as a result.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The sheer amount of amazing ideas that Wells was able to produce in such relatively short amount of time was astounding. He just has so much creativity and insight in his process an skill set that it was somewhat overwhelming at times to see such an amount of good work. 

And, as stated before, his willingness to collaborate creatively on the final product was refreshing. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Wells Collins Design LLC could have done differently?

Honestly, no. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Wells again in the future.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project scope was brand identity for a kids fruit snack startup. It was a three phase design project that included: 

Logo - deliver a unique hand-drawn logo system for digital, print, and social media.

Packaging - deliver a DTC and retail ready packaing for our fruit snack product. This included both a mini pouch and box/carton. The packaging was to be eye-cathcing and represetiative of our vision and brand.

Web design - deliver a one-page home web design with 10 specific sections. Each section flowing nicely into the next telling the story of the brand and product. This design was to be optimized for both desktop and mobile.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Successfully delivered design assets from each phase of the project. Logo, packaging, and web design.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Wells' overall project management was flawless. Each phase of the project timeline was comminicated and all items were delivered on time. Wells set the expectations up front and stayed true to them throughout the entire process. He was always available for questions, suggestions and responded to feedback very well. Each step of the process we hopped on a quick video call, which was a great way to touch base as the project progressed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I've been in e-commerce for a decade, working with many agencies and freelancers over the years. I can say hands down, Wells is the best and most talented designer I have even had the privilege of working with. His design skills are incedible. But the most impressive thing about Wells is his ablility to understand the brand and find a way to display that visulally in the most beautiful and eye catching way. 

From start to finish Wells is the best designer I've had the privilege of working with. I will continue to work with him for many projects to come.

He truly helped transform our ideas/vision into a real brand. If you have the chance to hire Wells, do not hesitate. He is top notch.

None at all. Wells and this project was perfection from start to finish.

Wells created many initial concepts and worked with us on refining them. He then built out a full brand solution that included color, typography, monogram, and collateral. The collateral included an example website homepage, brochure design, t-shirts, hats, and business cards.

We found Wells through LinkedIn. We were initially drawn to him because we loved his work for other clients that we had seen. We wanted to work with a strong brand designer who was great at drawing custom letter marks. Wells was very personable, a great listener, and was able to translate our branding needs into a beautiful, comprehensive brand identity.

Wells Collins Design LLC provided initial rounds of sketches for our labels and secondary packaging, offering a wide range of creative directions to help us quickly hone in on the right look and feel. They explored multiple typography and layout options, and consistently offered up to four rounds of revisions per design. In the end, they delivered polished, printer-ready files along with support and vector files—making the entire process smooth and turnkey.

Aside from always delivering on time and never disappointing, he has a skill for seeing inside your brain and works complete magic when it comes to bringing your vision to life. Wells Collins Design LLC has always provided excellent communication, and is very professional when it comes to receiving feedback.

You feel very much like you are designing the project together. The packaging he has done for us has received incredible feedback from distributors, consumers, and fellow breweries.
