BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the director of Fibreknight Limited, which has two roles. One is a consultancy service that specializes in fiber optics for aerospace. The second division of the company sells video inspection equipment and fiber optic cleaning products.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Weider Web Solutions? 

I needed help to get our online shop modified and updated. The existing version was quite crude. I also wanted to expand the main website to include our consultancy services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

I sat down with Karen (Director, Weider Web Solutions) to go over what I was trying to do and how I wanted the web pages to look. I put a series of Word documents together with wording I liked and images I wanted to use. Karen went through them and came back with a full design package. It includes ideas and formatting for web pages. She passed it to me to review and approve. I sent back my small changes or improvements, which they then implemented on the site.

Next, Weider Web Solutions performed an SEO review of the whole website. One issue was that the consultancy service was originally under another company's name. Then they began a process to examine how we could highlight the consultancy as part of Fibreknight Limited and improve our overall SEO.

I work entirely with Karen. 

How did you come to work with Weider Web Solutions?

Karen and I worked together a number of years ago at a large aerospace company. I left in 2007 to set up my own consulting company. She got back in touch with me several years ago, and we had a meeting. Knowing how she works, I thought I'd give them a chance.

How much have you invested with them?

I probably spent about £1,200 (approximately $1,445 USD) on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

Work began in January 2012 and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new webshop is really good. Many people have commented on how much they like the new site. It’s a lot better than the original one. It’s easier to navigate and to find all of our available products and services. I get quite a few repeat customers now because of the ease of using the website. In addition, Weider Web Solutions is an excellent value for the money. They provide us with great service at a great price.

How did Weider Web Solutions perform from a project management standpoint? 

I’ve had no problems whatsoever. The site had a few small glitches, but they’re good at sorting those out. Karen is so thorough. With regards to timelines and target dates, she's always on time and on budget. Weider Web Solutions makes my life a lot easier. I can't praise them enough.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Weider Web Solutions are a pleasure to work with; their friendly attitude really stands out. I'm rather biased because we're friends, but Karen is very good at what she does. She listens to us, comes back with fresh ideas, and provides solid feedback. She also quickly addresses any comments or issues. I can't say enough good things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they go above the mark. Weider Web Solutions’ work far exceeds my expectations. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

I highly recommend them. Weider Web Solutions has proven themselves very worthy.
