When I worked with Webtmize, I was an executive director for a company called CCL Industries, which is an office product business. **OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE** What challenge were you trying to address with Webtmize? When I came into the business, they were going through a sale process to another business, so I was tasked with getting all of their marketing channels and digital coverage in a better state than it had been previously. **SOLUTION** What was the scope of their involvement? I was tackling a wide variety of digital marketing work with various organizations, including web design, content-based SEO, and paid advertising. The organization that we were working with before, however, was basically delivering no tangible results for the money that we were paying them, so I contracted Webtmize to take over that side of the project. They started by conducting an SEO audit of the domains of the site, which were previously under several different names and were in the process of being consolidated. From there, they laid out some specific tasks that needed to be delegated internally and took over the SEO and ad placement for our site to try to boost our performance on SERPs in a variety of ways. What is the team composition? There were two leads for paid advertising, as well as two support members on the account. How did you come to work with Webtmize? We went through an RFP process with a few companies that had been recommended by colleagues in the US. Their team won, and that was how we started working together. How much have you invested with them? Because we ramped up our spend so quickly, we’ve spent close to $50,000 with them in total so far. What is the status of this engagement? We started collaborating in March 2018 and we are continuing to work together. **RESULTS & FEEDBACK** What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Within the first 30 days, we were able to double and triple the number of leads that we were getting and the quality of traffic through our site, so it was an easy sell to the business owners from there that we needed to really shift our focus in that direction. I consider anyone reaching out to us for more information on a purchase a successful lead, so that is what we focus on, and that metric has proven to translate meaningfully to increased revenue over time. How did Webtmize perform from a project management standpoint? When I spoke to their team, I always found them to be incredibly accommodating. I don’t mean that he always did exactly what I wanted them to do, but rather that he heard what I said and added value where he could, based on the ways that his expertise complemented mine. Their suggestions never felt like a sales pitch instead of just a realistic outline of what they could do, and that helped us to build respect together as a team from the beginning. I actually tried to work with their project manager ono multiple occasions after this partnership because she is so good at what she does. What did you find most impressive about them? One aspect I really appreciated was that you had senior members of their team working on your account, but they did a good job of incorporating their support staff into the day to day of the work as well. That way you got not only the direction and experience of the more seasoned team members, but you got the fresh ideas and energy of the younger teammates as well. The whole process was very collaborative and enjoyable to work through. Alongside that, they spend enough time listening to their customers and trying to incorporate what you are asking for into the actual process, which isn’t something most agencies will do. Their team is willing to think outside the box to make sure that they can bring your vision to life rather than just creating any results in whatever way they can. Are there any areas they could improve? I really don’t have anything that I wish they had done differently in our work. Any time that I ever did provide feedback to them, they were more than willing to make those changes going forward, so it really was a pretty ideal partnership. Do you have any advice for potential customers? It’s really important to be clear about what value you bring to the table and how you want your identity to be perceived, but once you’ve done that you need to also be able to step back and let their team be good at what they do.
