I’m the lead technical engineer of BallSquad, a digital marketplace that connects people with local sports facilities, offering booking, community features, and management tools to promote active lifestyles and optimize urban sports infrastructure for citizens, venues, and brands.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webellian?

We needed help modernizing the infrastructure and delivery pipeline behind our platform. The engagement included reviewing the existing cloud architecture, standardizing development and production environments, automating deployments, strengthening monitoring and alerting, and improving the platform's overall reliability and scalability.

The team worked closely with our development team to improve how the platform was built, released, and maintained. Webellian streamlined our CI/CD pipeline, reduced manual deployment steps, and introduced clearer processes for managing environments, configuration, and infrastructure changes. They also improved observability across the platform, making it easier to detect issues, understand system behavior, and respond before problems affected users. Webellian's work made releases safer and more predictable, reduced operational overhead, and gave our team a stronger foundation for scaling the product. Moreover, Webellian helped us optimize our infrastructure usage and reduce cloud costs without compromising performance, reliability, or scalability.

We used AWS for the project's infrastructure, mainly Elastic Beanstalk, Amplify, SQL databases, emailing, and CloudWatch for logs, as well as Bitbucket and Codemagic for CI/CD pipelines. They worked on the already existing structure, improving it in terms of performance, security, observability and cost optimization.

Webellian's work reduced errors and incidents by about 50%, costs by 72%, and increased overall deployment and app speed by about 23%. These improvements were sustained after the project ended.

The project successfully automated our initial customer engagement. We saw a clear increase in lead generation and user interaction on our website. While the final conversion depends on various market factors, the tool itself performed exactly as designed and improved our data collection.We observed a noticeable improvement in the quality of initial user engagement. The bot allowed us to filter inquiries more effectively and provided us with better insights into what our visitors are looking for.The main impact was on our internal efficiency. The bot acted as a first line of communication, which helped us filter out low-intent inquiries. This allowed our team to focus their time and resources on more promising leads and strategic tasks rather than manual follow-ups.
