I’m the Bucharest office head at the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce.

What challenge were you trying to address with Web Performance Box?

We needed to redefine our commercial strategy. We specialize in governmental relationships in the public sector, so we couldn’t do it in-house due to the lack of expertise. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Web Performance Box provided specialized support with developing marketing materials. We had a couple of main objectives for the original e-commerce campaigns — our end goal was to boost UK retailers’ exports locally by bridging the gap between British companies and local online partners. We ran some of the campaigns internally while the team covered the rest.

They supported us with social media marketing, email marketing, and various other marketing campaigns. Based on our products, the team delivered B2B marketing materials and market research data. We already had the contacts, but we didn’t know what message to send, so we also collaborated with the team on the content. They created anything that had to do with content creation in the form of text, message, image, and campaigns, which the UK headquarters approved us to use. The materials targeted potential leads and focused on our performance and the e-commerce services we offered. The team also helped us organize webinars and regional physical events in Bucharest, Warsaw, and Prague to announce the campaigns. 

What is the team composition?

Our primary contact was Manuela (Founder), but we were in contact with around 10 other teammates. She had an OMCP® digital marketing certification, which proved her expertise.

How did you come to work with Web Performance Box?

We advertised our needs and took recommendations. They were specifically a recommendation from the German Chamber of Commerce in Romania, who had worked with them on similar projects. After a rigorous selection process, we narrowed it down to the top three. We chose Web Performance Box because we liked the pitch they came up with for a particular campaign.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project was ongoing from January 2014–December 2015.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We really loved working with their highly creative and goal-oriented team. Web Performance Box understood what we needed and was very dedicated to the project. We had a goal to generate 10 times more leads, and they easily met those metrics. They really contributed to our campaigns’ success — up until we worked with them, we didn’t get significant results. 

How did Web Performance Box perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management skills were excellent. We were able to track each campaign’s progress in real-time, and they met all the deadlines we set. We also had quarterly performance reviews and presentations with them to discuss the results and feedback. It was a very fruitful collaboration.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciated their creative marketing know-how and their diligence in staying up-to-date. Marketing is an ever-changing field, but they remained flexible and adjusted to the best solutions. They were determined and motivated, which helped them meet our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they could’ve done better; we were happy with the collaboration.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Commercial Manager of Minex Group - a provider of integrated blasting and painting solutions for the shipbuilding and metal processing industry. We develop projects worldwide and use digital marketing services to create brand awareness and develop relations on an international level.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Web Performance Box?

We wanted to have an integrated digital marketing approach allowing us to get results while keeping the budgets under control. We therefore decided to collaborate with Web Performance Box to develop our digital strategy, create content and promote it via social media (Linkedin mainly) and emailing campaigns.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to improve our brand awareness and generate leads in a niche industry, but on global scale. Our main intention was to position ourselves as experts in creating complete technical solutions for blasting halls usually needed in the heavy industry in general and in the shipbuilding industry in particular.

They have been recommended to us by the German Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Following the selection process, we had several discussions with Manuela Vulpescu in order to familiarise her with our business model and let her know about our marketing objectives. Web Performance Box made documented proposals for the digital marketing strategy and for the content and social media plans.

Once the final versions have been decided, the agency organised the content creation (blog posts, white papers, video, and support materials for webinars) and created campaigns to promote our messages on social media, thorough email marketing and PPC.

What was the team composition?

The team we worked with included a strategist, a web designer and SEO expert, and an IT support.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our main audience includes 3200 shipbuilders worldwide. It is a very niched target with lots of particularities in terms of communication. The cooperation with Web Performance Box helped us creating a community of 1200 relevant connections.

With some of them we got the chance to meet in person and discuss projects during trade fairs participations in Hamburg and Singapore. Furthermore, the agency supported us with lead nurturing campaigns which helped us in qualifying leads for sales.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicated with Manuela on a regular basis and we were happy to see her commitment to our project. She was directly dealing with our sales team to catch up with their immediate needs for updating the strategy and plans accordingly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The entire Web Performance Box team was actively involved in finding solutions and developing external necessary partnerships to cover the entire content creation as planned. We were impressed by their focus on results. They have the capacity to come up with integrated marketing and technical solutions based on our particular needs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Things can always get better, but we were happy with our cooperation that covered a wide spectrum of digital services and offered us the possibility to approach markets we would otherwise be unable to get in touch with so easily.
