I work as the Head of SEO team here at SpiderWorks Technologies, a leading Digital Marketing Company in India.

For the development of custom software to manage all internal activities, invoicing, project management and tracking, hr management, etc.

What were your goals for this project?

To develop a basic application and gradually add new features and optimize it to eventually arrive at a fine custom made application that helps to automate and coordinate most of our day-to-day activities & simplify the business processes.

The team was very supportive and flexible on our timings and deadlines. We had to do lots of reworks but yet the team was very professional and we handled everything successfully. We had weekly calls and the project management was really good. The managers have done a remarkable job.

What was the team composition?

The team size was 6 and we had 2 managers who were the point of contact.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We have saved and still continue to save so much of our time with the help of this internal system developed. Earlier we used to manage and track all activities through Google spreadsheets. Now everything is automated and much easier.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was really very impressive. The team regularly met deadlines & the communication was so good, all delays were well communicated in advance. We used Skype for weekly calls.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our point of contact was very reliable and communicative. We had groups to discuss all daily tasks and activities. Any issue raised was taken good care of and the team was very attentive on it and fixed them at the earliest.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I could only suggest one improvement, that is regarding the initial documentation. But, because our project followed a lean development methodology, there is a limitation on the detail of documentation to be done in advance. yet, at some later stages in development, a detailed document prepared well in advance is very useful.
