They carried out a thorough UX review and redesign of one of our core plugins, taking the time to really understand how it worked and where users were running into challenges. Through this process, they uncovered usability issues, confusing interactions, and design inconsistencies that were holding the experience back. 
From there, they delivered a clear, prioritized list of improvements along with wireframes and polished UI mockups, helping us create a much cleaner and more intuitive product.  On top of that, they built a comprehensive design system tailored to our brand. This included adapting the core foundations like typography, color palette, spacing, and interaction rules, as well as creating a set of essential UI components. 
Before this project, our designs often lacked consistency and required extra effort to maintain. Now, thanks to this design system, we have a single source of truth that not only ensures a cohesive look and feel across our product but also makes our design and development process much more efficient

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

VisualPanda helped us identify usability issues, simplify complex interactions, and create a cleaner, more intuitive interface. The final designs gave us a clear vision for how to improve the product and made it easier for our users to navigate and interact with key features.

The design system they built has been a huge step forward for us. Before this project, we didn’t have a consistent structure for our designs, which often led to inconsistencies and extra work during development. Now, we have a well-documented set of reusable components in Figma that makes it easier to maintain a cohesive look and feel across our product.

They were well-organized, set clear expectations, and kept us updated throughout every stage of the process. They were also very responsive to our feedback and needs, taking the time to understand our goals and making adjustments whenever necessary.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What really impressed us about VisualPanda was how quickly they got up to speed on the complexity of our product and the unique challenges of designing within the Sisense ecosystem. There are a lot of constraints, some things you simply can’t change,  and it takes a deep understanding of those limits to create something that not only looks great but also fits naturally with the rest of the interface.

Apart from their professionalissm and communication, it is impooritant to mention that the entire team is extremely friendly and nice and always considered how we're feeling with the progress of our project and development. They were extremely supportive and guided us throughout the process. Our teams aligned very well together as it is just a pleasure to work with the Visual Panda team, not only for their skills and capabilities but also because of their people and teamwork.

They began with a full audit of our existing site, combined with a competitive benchmarking exercise to understand how similar institutions present themselves online. From there, they delivered a complete redesign, starting with wireframes to define the site structure, information architecture, and user flow. The focus was on striking the right balance between being informative - showcasing our university, curriculum, and campus life - and being persuasive enough to encourage prospective students to click the apply button. Once the structure was finalized, they moved into high-fidelity design, creating polished visuals for each page. Throughout the process, they worked closely with our brand designer to ensure everything aligned perfectly with our visual identity. Finally, they implemented the site in Webflow, and also built custom automations that allowed us to integrate our preferred tools and streamline internal processes.

The new website has a much stronger visual presence - it feels cohesive and aligned with our brand. It now reflects the academic excellence and unique character of our campus. Navigation is more intuitive, and the content is presented in a way that naturally guides users toward key actions, especially the application process. We’re confident this new experience will lead to better engagement and improved conversions over time.

The project was handled with care and attention to detail, and we appreciated how collaborative the process was. While some parts took longer than we initially expected due to changes in the scope, VisualPanda stayed communicative and flexible throughout. We hired VisualPanda to design a new website for our company. Our past one was outdated and we wanted something that looked more professional, modern, and reflected the high tech of our products. The project was broken down into design and development. It started with Research and Moodboarding which were initial calls talking through the theme we wanted for our website and looking at others in our field. After that, we moved on to wireframing which are the skeleton-like page structures which was quick and seamless. Visual Exploration was the main design phase where we worked through variations of design, gave alot of feedback and worked through revisions. Once we approved our final design, we moved to development where VisualPanda brought in a partner company to develop our site in HubSpot. Through all this, we had a recurring meeting with VisualPanda every week - they were very responsive with feedback and even with our very different time zones, made it work!

I consider the project a success for a few reasons. The project was a big undertaking and took multiple months to complete and VisualPanda was very responsive and transparent from start to finish. We ultimately launched on time and stayed on track through the work. Second, we are very happy with the finished website. It's exactly what we were looking for - much more modern and represents us well!

VisualPanda was hired to handle the design and launch of our new webpage. Their process began with in-depth research into our industry, target audience, and website objectives. Using the gathered insights, they crafted moodboards that set the visual direction, encompassing style, fonts, colors, and more. Next, they translated their ideas into wireframes, providing a blueprint of the webpage's structure and element placement. 

Once we finalized the structure, they proceeded to design the entire website, resulting in a clean and visually appealing look and feel. The final step involved implementing the website using Webflow, skillfully turning the design into a fully-functional and dynamic webpage, with the team assisting us throughout the setup process. 

In addition to the webpage, VisualPanda also designed a brand new logo for us. Both the website and the logo exceeded our expectations, perfectly capturing our brand essence and significantly outshining our competitors' designs (industrial websites often tend to appear outdated). We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome and couldn't be happier with their work.

I am the founder and CEO of The Chrysalis KO, inc. We have an investment arm called Chrysalis Capital and an Advisory company called Chrysalis Advisors. We do buy side, sell side, and management transactions for emerging market tech companies.

Our advisory company started growing tremendously during Covid and didn't have its own website. Our investment arm website only showed the companies we invested in vs all the others we supported. We wanted something that felt unique and not like we were selling our services.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had interacted with Visual panda before as they did website, app, and deck designs for one of my portfolio companies, Helium Health. I loved their work and insight to clean design. We had worked with someone when we first launched on our capital website and it wasn't a great experience. It was then easy to choose the Visual Panda team having seen their speed and quality.

We were first assigned a designer who walked through the sort of mood board we created. We had links from different websites and certain imagery we liked. He then had us create the content we wanted on each page and talked through ideas of how we could bring certain things to life. We initially had a lot more text/content on the site when it got pushed to test and then decided to scrap a lot of it and make it cleaner and the team supported us through that.

They also helped us with image and other choices to ensure a fast load speed and talked my in house IT through how to manage it. They also helped us with learning how to update certain pages after they were gone and we have been able to manage it entirely ourselves because of how easy they built everything.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website is stunning and two years later, I still love it. We've actually had clients and others ask us to refer them to VisualPanda because they loved our website so much. As I said above, we've been able to handle all the updates on text (clients, team members, etc) ourselves because of how clean it was built plus the documentation they gave us on how to manage it ourselves.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was easy to work with and we used slack for timely and effective communication. Having the slack channel made it really simple to give real time updates with links, etc.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I loved their willingness to push the creativity envelope and how well they listened to me. They didn't say things couldn't be done and instead went to find out how they could make it happen. We went beyond the initial time because I completely changed the text/story flow when it was pushed to test and they were still super positive and professional while insisting on me getting exactly what I wanted.

Honestly, nothing because they handled us well and gave us a product we love.

I’m a Project Manager at Reflect Group, a parent company of over 15 brands, offering all kinds of custom print services.

One of our brands offers customized apparel, like t-shirts, hoodies and a wide range of gadgets to individual clients. We have a tool on our website that lets users create their custom prints. We hired VisualPanda to optimize this tool and increase the conversion rate.

We talked to various UX agencies and found VisualPanda to be the best fit. One of reasons that convinced us was their approach - they are very proactive and wanted to deliver the best possible results, while remaining realistic when it comes to projections.

The cooperation started with an analysis of our current solution and growth estimation. After this, the designers created a detailed roadmap for the whole project. They paid great attention to getting to know us thoroughly, ensuring that our business needs would be met and the proposed solutions would be technically feasible. We worked in weekly sprints, sticking mostly to the initial plan.

We worked with a Senior Product Designer and a Product Designer.

Selecting them as a partner was the best choice we could make. The designers who worked with us had a background in e-commerce so it was a great fit for us. Thanks to this, they brought along a lot of experience and insights. They were also really proactive and engaged, often discovering new opportunities that could be seized.

The way they commit to the project - they really care about the outcomes. That means, they are not just people who move pixels around, they are able to bring a lot of value to the table with their own thinking, analyses and problem solving. We were also impressed by their broad UX knowledge and their ability to apply it within the given context.

We have contacted over 20 companies in one month that provided Design-related services, including VisualPanda. After technical & soft skills screening of dozens of UX/UI Designers, we concluded that their team seemed to be capable to deliver all of our project goals.

We have cooperated with VisualPanda on two projects: a complex e-learning platform with lots of User Interactions that needed to be designed before entering the development stage and an internal BI tool for two of our clients. In both cases we were strongly impressed by Pandas – their “will do” attitude, blazing fast task deliveries before the deadlines and their proactiveness allowed us to seamlessly integrate their team of Designers with ours and deliver a proper solution for our client.

We have worked with Michał, Łukasz and Mateusz – they were managed by Michał who has substantial experience in Project Management and coordinating the work of UX/UI Teams. Overall, they were able to guide our clients in the right direction in terms of features, user experience and platform design.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

VisualPanda's team allowed us to meet the tight deadlines with a reasonable budget. We were able to finish the Design stage earlier than we expected - allowing us to assign the dev team faster and thus cutting the waiting period before the stages.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The whole team of VisualPanda was great to work with - Michał was responsible for the day-to-day communication with other Designers, but we were also communicating directly with the rest of the team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their overall knowledge about the UI/UX design process. It's worth to mention that they offered us to discuss some of the most complex project issues internally - with higher-seniority people that were assigned to our team to be certain that they are pushing us into the best direction possible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Personally, I think that there is little to complain about their work - and we will definitely work with VisualPanda again in the nearest future.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I used to work for Mirror. They are a mobile app startup trying to disrupt the retrospective performance review space. Their goal is to create a real-time app meant to be used peer-to-peer in a workplace setting.

What challenge were you trying to address with VisualPanda?

They were responsible for the creative side of the app development, acting as our design studio.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a sprint week where we laid out our mission and vision for the app. From there, Jakub (Founder) created mock-ups, determining how the entire app would look. It was available on both iOS and Android.

When I left the company, we were kicking off three different pilots with companies in the Indianapolis area. The companies would use the app internally. It was available on the app store, and our team used it internally. We downloaded version one, and then we kept updating it until external people downloaded it as part of the pilots.

What is the team composition?

Jakub was our main person at VisualPanda, and there were also several others involved.

How did you come to work with VisualPanda?

My boss at Mirror had previously started a company and built a mobile app with VisualPanda. He said that they did great work and were competitively priced.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $50,000 in the whole project. Part of that cost went to the development company, so VisualPanda received a bit less than $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project ran from February until August 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s hard for me to answer what happened after the pilot programs started because I am no longer working there. One of the metrics we set, though, was how many times does the user open the app per day. We set a lot more metrics internally, too.

The people at VisualPanda were good at making sure we were all aligned and included everything we stated. Additionally, they provided their own creative input. Through a collaborative process, we developed a number of great ideas. They certainly met our goals and developed the app with everything we wanted.

How did VisualPanda perform from a project management standpoint?

We had weekly check-ins that I always felt were transparent, as well as direct communication along the way. They were very easy to reach. If a deadline ever was going to be missed, or if there was confusion or a roadblock, we always communicated. Overall, it was very positive from a project management perspective.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their degree of commitment to and investment in the project stands out. We could tell that they cared about what we were making. That came through as they contributed to meetings at every step of the process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind right now. It’s been a while, so I’m sure there were small things I noted as we went through the process. The timelines they gave us were sometimes a bit overly optimistic, but whenever we weren’t hitting deadlines, they were transparent in their communication about the reasons for the delay — everyone was on the same page.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take advantage of VisualPanda’s incredible responsiveness. They want to produce a great product, rather than just check off everything you tell them. Make it a collaborative process where everyone has a seat at the table.

They’ve done so many of these types of projects that they have great experience and expertise. Make sure to hear their perspective.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of a company called DoubleMap, which was acquired by Ford in 2019. We provide software and services for transit systems around universities, airports, hospitals, and corporate fleets. Our primary offering involves real-time GPS tracking for public transit systems around the world.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with VisualPanda?

We engaged VisualPanda to design not only our widely-used mobile apps, but also our internal materials — like presentations, pitch decks, and other visual communication.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Visual Panda designed our iOS, Android, and desktop apps. They also designed the interface of the administrative portion of our platform, where transit administrators can make inputs into the backend.

We had mobile apps before working with them, so they worked off of these existing models before drastically improving the apps. In some cases, they created designs solely based on our ideas, essentially from scratch. They used the InVision app, which allowed us to click through the designs before they were implemented.

We integrated them into a marketing and design channel in our Slack, so they were treated as part of our team. Even though they were a different company, I instructed our team to treat them as part of our own.

What is the team composition?

Initially, I worked directly with Jakub (Founder, VisualPanda), but both of our companies grew over the course of the engagement. He eventually had a team behind him. I worked with around 5­–6 people from their team in total.

How did you come to work with VisualPanda?

VisualPanda used to do design work for a company we acquired called Tap Ride. We liked the aesthetic they offered, so we decided to continue leveraging them for design work.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere between $100,000–$250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted for 6 years. We started working together in mid-2016, and even though we’ve been acquired, they’re still doing work for us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The pitch desks that they helped us design have won us millions of dollars of business. Their work led to our successful acquisition by Ford, so they’ve been critical to our evolution as a company.

We have over 1400 customers and millions of daily riders who all use the interface that VisualPanda helped design. While it’s difficult to provide quantifiable results, the impact of their work is experienced by these riders every day.  

How did VisualPanda perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very strong on this front, as they skillfully leverage Trello boards and Asana to track project progress. Given that they’re in Poland, it’s reasonable to be concerned about communication, but we’ve never had any problems.

They’re extremely proficient in English, and Slack communication, as well as emails, have always been sufficient. We hold Skype calls with their team, and they’ve actually visited our office multiple times.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Where many designers can only create aesthetically appealing—but ultimately uncodable—designs, VisualPanda delivers stunning designs that can be seamlessly integrated with our product’s functionalities. In addition, their ability to build relationships, especially from abroad, is one of their strongest suits.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re one of my favorite partners, so I don’t have any suggestions for improvement. If you go back 3­–4 years, both of our companies were experiencing growing pains, so they had to staff up to keep up with the incoming flow of work.

To their credit, though, they've excelled at addressing issues and have stepped up accordingly. They’re able to adapt to changing business climates, so they ultimately do a stellar job.

Just use them. They do a fantastic job and will make any partner look better than they currently do.
