Vision One conducted a CSAT Survey for all IBS Software customers. They spent some time understanding our requirements and then developed a survey appropriate for our Business. The survey was launched, and our customers were directed to the Vision One platform to complete the survey. Vision One analysed the results and provided a comprehensive report with the findings. They also supported a number of executive briefings.

We wanted to gain an understanding of how well known our brands were in England and how they were perceived too. Our business model is centred around the idea of group buying and we wanted to see how well known this concept was in England. In Belgium and the Netherlands, where we also have offices, the concept is well-known by the general public. We also wanted to understand our audience's preferences and attitudes relating to solar energy installations and in-home energy behaviours.

The deliverables were two reports (energy and solar) that highlighted the perceptions of in home energy usage and solar energy installations, brand recognition (prompted and unprompted) and how the group buying concept is understood or perceived in the market

A benchmark for our brand awareness. It wasn't something we had before so now we know where we stand, we can look to make improvements on brand awareness. We have also used it to help shape a branding strategy in terms of what to focus on.

Vision One was timely and organized. They communicated well and kept us informed of progress. Our scope changed during the briefing stage and they adapted well to our needs and added their own experience and knowledge to help us reach the best solution

The level of communication was great. I don't think I had to reach out once as they were always proactive on updating us. Also, they resourced our project well so that it felt like we were given enough people and time to get the best results

One small thing would be to better explain what the final report would look like and explaining some of the metrics they use better. Now I look back on it, it can be difficult to remember what a metric meant

The main objective of this research project was to:

1. Investigate why families eligible for our services have not engaged in tourism in the past four years or ever.
2. Identify specific barriers preventing their participation in tourism.
3. Explore how these barriers interconnect and whether facing multiple barriers exacerbates the difficulty for families to engage in tourism.
4. Begin examining necessary changes to support families in independently participating in tourism in the future.

The research combined quantitative analysis of existing data within the charity with comprehensive qualitative interviews with families. The primary deliverable was a detailed report that addresses these research questions and provides valuable insights and recommendations moving forward.

Throughout the project, we collaborated with a dedicated team, maintaining consistent and regular communication and having plenty of opportunities to provide input as the project progressed. It was a cross-organisational effort, with even the CEO participating in calls to offer guidance on the project and its outcomes. Hannah, who led the project delivery, was exceptional. She took the time to understand our goals and ensured we achieved them.

A series of focus groups and IDI on behalf of a client. This research was an important part of our process to sensitively co-design a campaign to help share valuable messages about the role everyone, particularly men, can play in ending violence against women and girls (VAWG). 

The core requirement was to lead on recruitment, to develop a suitable discussion guide for our areas of particular interest, to conduct all interviews, and to provide insight based on the qualitative data.

These insights have deepened our understanding of the UK's EV user landscape, providing us with valuable information.

Our main goal with this Favorability Research was to understand how our stakeholders are perceiving our ESG Strategy and what value it brings to our company. With that in mind, we designed a survey with both quantitative and qualitative questions, that was sent to 320 different stakeholders from Citrosuco (customers, banks, community, suppliers, government, suppliers and other partners) mostly from Brazil but also from abroad.

The survey was custom-designed for our needs and applied by Vision One but with communication reinforcements from Citrosuco. Vision One analyzed the survey results and produced a report with key figures and insights.

A full analytical report was delivered by Vision One. This report contains information about the sample, the results of each question in the questionnaire, Citrosuco's NPS, the main findings of the open questions and recommendations for the future.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Global Marketing Director at Domino Printing Sciences, a manufacturer of industrial printing solutions (hardware, software and services).

We have nearly 3000 people worldwide, in 13 direct subsidiaries, selling both coding and marking equipment (for track and trace compliance, anti-counterfeit, product safety marking, and simple best before/use by date coding) and also large digital printing presses to commercial printing companies (including packaging converters, corrugated box suppliers and label printers).

Amongst other areas, I am responsible for all aspects of the corporate brand.

For what projects/services did your company hire Vision One?

We wanted to get an independent view on the perceptions of the brand, from a wide variety of perspectives/lenses, covering an extensive range of decision attributes, such as position vs competitors, desired relationship style, priority needs etc. and also obviously the visual aspects of our brand - the logos, word marque, icons, fonts, colours, graphics, and brand positioning slogan.

What were your goals for this project?

We had opinions on our brand that we had built up from subjective reviews and a phase of internal research within the business, but knew that what really mattered was the perspective of our customers, existing prospects and lost prospects.

We wanted to gather input from all three sources for as wide a range of countries as possible.

SOLUTION

How did you select Vision One?

We narrowed down an original list (based on web research and recommendations) to a shortlist of just two, with VisionOne and a much larger, global organisation. We invited both to provide responses to a project brief and discussed the responses in detail with each agency.

Following discussions internally, we felt that VisionOne offered the right blend of capability and customisation/personal treatment that would also help guide us on how best to get the most value from the research.

We felt the larger agency was offering us an 'off-the-shelf' service that might not be tailored specifically to our needs.

VisionOne conducted a phase of Qualitative, phone-based interviews with our target lists from a number of our direct subsidiaries, which we reviewed and then used to improve the Quantitative, web-based questionnaires that we ran in a much broader range of questions.

The research was split between our Coding & Marking, and our Digital Printing sides of the business (effectively doubling the scale of the research).

What was the team composition?

We were a little unfortunate at the beginning of the project that the team changed a few times within just a few months, due to departures from VisionOne (all for reasons that gave us no cause for concern) but that meant that we did have a period of re-education for the account manager involved.

That said, the Managing Director retained an active involvement in the project throughout which really minimised disruption. For the vast majority of the project we had a single account manager who was very helpful

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It might sound unusual, but as I mentioned, one of the objectives was simply to determine whether our own perceptions of the brand and the company's perceptions vs the competition were justified, and I'm pleased to say that they were.

We did learn some very interesting pointers about future brand direction and those insights are currently being built into a brand development plan.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

After the changes in personnel early in the project, our account manager was very good at keeping us up to date with progress and with driving the project forward.

We were unfortunate to have picked a dreadful period in which to attempt market research, with many of our customers either rushed off their feet satisfying massive demand spikes, or furloughed and away from their offices.

However, our account manager was an effective organiser and kept us fully updated via regular touchpoint meetings so that we were fully aware of progress.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It's great that we had direct access to a market research expert such as VisionOne's Managing Director throughout the project, something we weren't convinced we'd get from the large global business.

His advice was very helpful in both planning the research work and helping us tune our activity as we went. Our account manager was highly effective - staying on top of deadlines and providing clear notes and actions for all meetings.

Are there any areas for improvement?

In addition to the issues of COVID-19, we did have other challenges: a sub-contract partner didn't follow instructions which caused some annoyance, and the privacy requirements of the German DSGVO (a more stringent equivalent of GDPR) meant that much of our planned German research was impossible to complete.

We had another issue with an incentive being offered after we thought we'd removed it, and we had challenges ensuring that the phone-based sub-contractor in China was government-registered to conduct market research.

It's possible that these issues may have been avoidable with the larger global business who might have pre-warned us or perhaps might have helped us navigate these challenges quicker.

That said, the team clearly worked hard, cared about what we were trying to achieve, and we were very pleased with the results, particularly given the global pandemic situation. So whilst these were niggles, overall we were happy with the project.

We are assigned a dedicated client success manager and also deal with the Managing Director. This has been the consistent team over the 4 waves of research.

The insights and analysis have helped guide us through evolutions of our business and the unforeseen industry changes of 2020.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Vision One are wonderful to work with. Their communication, time management and dedication to question-solving are excellent.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We are very satisfied with their work and the working relationship, and especially appreciative of their willingness to provide concrete answers to all questions around the data or requests for further breakdowns. In the production of such granular reporting, sometimes attention to detail on spelling and labelling could be tighter, but it is a small point in the context of a great working relationship.

I'm the Marketing assistant at Acdoco working specifically on the Dr.Beckmann brand. I work alongside the marketing Director within my role to oversee all campaigns and overall brand marketing strategy.

As a company, we have been collaborating with Vision One for around 8 years now for various different market research projects across our strategy.

During my time here we have used their service for TV advertising research (AdProbe) to assess the effectiveness of our campaigns before/post launch and multiple new product development projects.

What were your goals for this project?

We were keen to launch a new stain remover concept for the brand which we hadn't previously explored. With the help of Vision One we aimed to investigate opinions to the tablet concept and aid development, positioning and on-pack communications. We hoped to be provided with key insight from our target consumer prior to launch.

How did you select Vision One?

We have been using Vision One for many years and very satisfied with the high quality service they provide.

Two qualitative focus groups were conducted to provide insight into consumer opinions towards the new product. These were run over Microsoft Teams where myself and the Marketing Director could also be present throughout.

Participants were presented with a series of questions and product concepts. The aims of the research/method and target sample groups were discussed over various meetings beforehand with the team.

What was the team composition?

Throughout the process we worked alongside Managing Director and Research Executive who conducted all meetings along with the focus groups.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Overall we were very impressed with the findings of this research and were presented with a summary report which gave us a strong understanding of consumer opinions towards the new product.

It was made clear there is in fact a gap in the market and opinions of our brand are largely positive. We were provided with detailed recommendations for how best to proceed with the concept even down to packaging.

The insight we received was invaluable and gave us confidence for the next step of our product development process.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We regularly communicated with the team throughout the process and managed to conduct the research and gain results in a quick turnaround which was great.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Vision One offer us a quality and reliable research service which is why we return again and again! They have become a key part of our business and really understand our company and needs.

Whether the project is big or small they adapt accordingly and provide a wealth of knowledge throughout. A pleasure to work with!

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only area of improvement for this project could have been the number of focus groups conducted. If more participants were involved this would have been more representative of the target group. However this was discussed and decided prior to the research.
