Found them on youtube when looking for animated videos and I selected them based on their portfolio.

We had an initial meeting and a rough quote. Then they provided their process through a dropbox doc, and we followed it: script, voice over, illustration, and video. With 2 rounds of feedback each time.

Perhaps be more realistic with timelines. The project ended up taking 2 months more than we initially discussed.

We worked with a project manager. The line of communication was very open and key milestone were clearly established and met.

We are planning on sharing our product explainer videos across all programs (marketing and sales) to provide further clarity on our platform and product offering.

The project manager was very easy to communicate with with clear milestones. All steps in the process were completed in a timely fashion with unmatched quality.

The first few calls were focused on understand the product. This proved be very impactful in both the script and video production.

I wish we could have met them in person! But the did a fantastic job of communicating through the project and it turned out incredible!

I was impressed by the quality of the samples on Vidico's website. The examples were fresh, clean, simple and dynamic -- exactly what we were looking for.

Vidico led us through a complete process, from conceptualization to actualization, including storyboarding, scripting, animation, social cut-downs, etc.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I initially worked with Michael Eason, who helped us get started. I then worked briefly with Keith, and most consistently with Riley when we got into the details of execution. The only thing as impressive as Vidico's output was their process. Every step and stage is clearly laid out, and their communication is consistent and flawless. Each email includes a list of actions requested, what to expect next, and easy links for review/ commenting/ etc. Absolutely nothing felt clunky or inefficient. I was extremely impressed.

We haven't publicly released the video yet, but will do so shortly. We're over the moon about the quality of the finished product, particularly given the complexity of the ideas we're looking to communicate.

I was most impressed that their creative excellence equally matched their attention to process and detail. It's unusual to find both of these in the same package. It's one of the best vendor experiences I've ever had.

Can't think of a single thing! We found that we were better off doing the scripting portion ourselves, but this had been our expectation from the start.

We wanted a more visually engaging way to reach and connect with potential students in an increasingly noisy world. We wanted to stand out from our competitors and provide information in an easily digestible manner while maintaining audience interest.

The quality of work within their portfolio was some of the best we had seen. They were flexible with our needs and open to any suggestions we put forward.

We had an extended process due to quite significant approval processes required throughout the entire process. I appreciate that Vidico were extremely understanding of this added level of difficulty.

We worked predominantly with the animation producer. The approach to applying feedback was extremely easy through the programs they used, the only note I had was that at times the feedback wasn't stored from one version to the next so at times was a little difficult to confirm if all changes were implemented.

We are yet to release our videos into the wild, so have no outcomes or results to share as yet.

The animation manager had been wonderful in communicating progress, expectations, next steps and timelines. They always offered to jump on a call for topics that required deeper discussion but most of the time email was all that was required.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciated they had multiple animation styles on offer and that level of quality that was produced regardless of which style was chosen was impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I would flag is ensuring the clients are aware of all that's involved, how things operate, and all the finer details. Some client's who are new to this may not know about what questions to ask or what to confirm, so Vidico as the experts should ensure there is understanding and transparency.

We have immediately received tons of new business thanks to people viewing our videos on social media and youtube. The video ad Vidico produced outperformed our old ads by 75%. The video is also a great tool to send to potential clients to give them an easily digestible way of understanding our services.

Very good. We had the opportunity to give feedback in each step of the production process and Vidico went the extra mile to make sure they understood what we wanted at all times.

We went with the option we thought would fit us best, and then we gave them what they needed to complete the script. We went back and forth a few times with edits. They then storyboarded the video. We shared edits, and then we got to see a prototype of the finished video and made final comments before getting the entire package.

I was so impressed by the project manager. We worked with multiple people throughout the process and I never felt like there was a drop off in responsiveness or quality of work. They took all of our critiques and turned out a really great product.

Not yet. We still need to start getting it out there.

Extremely effective. I feel like we had a lot of great communication, and we were able to effectively keep the project going primarily over Slack.

I was impressed at first by the breadth of examples they gave us and the range of options we had. As we continued, I was most impressed by their project management abilities and how they kept us moving at every point in the process. Some vendors make you feel forgotten, but I feel like Vidico stayed on top of everything for us.
