WE hired Vidico to help produce, film and edit three video case studies covering how we work with our clients. We wanted to highlight our clients, the work they do as well as how they are using our business to achieve their goals and drive success

Vidico had an impressive experience within the video case study space and the look and feel of their videos were exactly what we were trying to achieve. Their costs were competitive and had a dedicated team that would be on hand to help us at all stages of the campaign

We had lined up three clients that were willing to do the case studies and from there Vidico had a well thought out and plan and timeline to deliver each video. From initial briefings of our internal teams to giving guidance to our talents on the day, the professionalism of Vidico's team was always on display

Across the three case studies we worked with teams in both Melbourne and Sydney and they were all incredible, understanding and helpful at every step of the way

We have launched all three case studies to wonderful feedback both internally and from our customer base.

Vidico was professional at every stage of the process. They were also very understanding and helped guide both our internal team and the case study talents on how best to present themselves and the work they are doing. The team is always on hand to answer questions.

They understand the content they are capturing really well. From the elements to capture to the film pieces to place in the video, the story they developed was exactly what we were trying to achieve

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can not fault them in any way. When we film future case studies we will only use Vidico

We wanted to highlight our brand's new look-and-feel, and really emphasize the choice in the Cloud market, which I think Vidico did especially well.

We have worked with Vidico before and the results were awesome.

The video is a 30s walkthrough of Linode's tenets, and why we are the best choice in the Alternative Cloud _or_ Hyperscaler set. Vidico does an excellent job of breaking steps in the process down, from sketching to storyboarding to final animation. There is never any confusion about approval, which is appreciated.

I worked with several members of the Vidico team over time, and each one was professional, thorough, and accessible.

We haven't put it in market quite yet, but so far, developers have responded very well to it. We were looking to specifically target a nerdier audience than most tend to talk to, and I feel like we've managed to do that.

Lots of visual commenting tools and thorough walkthroughs on explanations.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are so communicative! That is a great aspect when you're working on something so important to the expression or success of the brand. I've felt like I am involved at every step.

Timelines can be very tight for someone who is managing several projects at once — I felt like I was constantly against deadline to keep things moving, when I had to herd together several people on my end who have very disparate schedules.

I am a Digital Designer for a software company with a focus on website design and working with clients to design and build their ecommerce websites.

The company is revamping the website with new branding and overall refresh. We wanted to include motion graphics and animation to better articulate what the company offers, its vision and technology.

I came into the project a bit later but still had the change to meet the Vidico team and kick-off the project. The initial kick-off was great. The Vidico team were very open and effective in explaining their roles, outlining the project and setting expectations from them and us. I feel everyone worked very effectively. We kept up with deadlines and Vidico did as well which made the process run smoothly.

The 2 rounds of edits were good to have as we often missed a few things in round one or something seemed off with the edit and but we still had the opportunity to fix it. Vidico was also very accomodating when we decided to change the concept last minute, which we appreciate very much. Overall the Vidico team have been amazing to work with and I am excited to work on future projects with them.

We initially started working with Keith who was great, and Bridget took over soon after. Bridget has been fantastic to work with. She was always quick to respond, clear in what she needed from us, and always open to feedback. Bridget has been a key person in the seamless running of this project. In terms of feedback - Boords and frame.io made it super easy to provide feedback. Also shout out to the animator who worked on our graphics! They are very talented and we are so happy with the outcome.

We are currently implementing the animations throughout our site which it to go live soon. Internally the teams love it.

We mostly communicated through Slack. Bridget was always quick to respond and accomodating.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Great communication. They are open to ideas and provide quality execution.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were times where we leaned on Vidico to come up with concepts when we were stuck with suggestions. On some animations, the concepts they came up with lacked a little imagination and looked too similar to what they had already done for other ones in the set. I found I'd have to suggest a new concept in the end. Maybe push the boundaries a bit for next time. We rely on them for some of the ideation as they are the experts.

Found them on youtube when looking for animated videos and I selected them based on their portfolio.

We had an initial meeting and a rough quote. Then they provided their process through a dropbox doc, and we followed it: script, voice over, illustration, and video. With 2 rounds of feedback each time.

Perhaps be more realistic with timelines. The project ended up taking 2 months more than we initially discussed.

We are planning on sharing our product explainer videos across all programs (marketing and sales) to provide further clarity on our platform and product offering.

The first few calls were focused on understand the product. This proved be very impactful in both the script and video production.

I wish we could have met them in person! But the did a fantastic job of communicating through the project and it turned out incredible!

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was impressed by the quality of the samples on Vidico's website. The examples were fresh, clean, simple and dynamic -- exactly what we were looking for.

Vidico led us through a complete process, from conceptualization to actualization, including storyboarding, scripting, animation, social cut-downs, etc.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I initially worked with Michael Eason, who helped us get started. I then worked briefly with Keith, and most consistently with Riley when we got into the details of execution. The only thing as impressive as Vidico's output was their process. Every step and stage is clearly laid out, and their communication is consistent and flawless. Each email includes a list of actions requested, what to expect next, and easy links for review/ commenting/ etc. Absolutely nothing felt clunky or inefficient. I was extremely impressed.

We haven't publicly released the video yet, but will do so shortly. We're over the moon about the quality of the finished product, particularly given the complexity of the ideas we're looking to communicate.

I was most impressed that their creative excellence equally matched their attention to process and detail. It's unusual to find both of these in the same package. It's one of the best vendor experiences I've ever had.

Can't think of a single thing! We found that we were better off doing the scripting portion ourselves, but this had been our expectation from the start.

We wanted a more visually engaging way to reach and connect with potential students in an increasingly noisy world. We wanted to stand out from our competitors and provide information in an easily digestible manner while maintaining audience interest.

The quality of work within their portfolio was some of the best we had seen. They were flexible with our needs and open to any suggestions we put forward.

We had an extended process due to quite significant approval processes required throughout the entire process. I appreciate that Vidico were extremely understanding of this added level of difficulty.

We worked predominantly with the animation producer. The approach to applying feedback was extremely easy through the programs they used, the only note I had was that at times the feedback wasn't stored from one version to the next so at times was a little difficult to confirm if all changes were implemented.

We are yet to release our videos into the wild, so have no outcomes or results to share as yet.

The animation manager had been wonderful in communicating progress, expectations, next steps and timelines. They always offered to jump on a call for topics that required deeper discussion but most of the time email was all that was required.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciated they had multiple animation styles on offer and that level of quality that was produced regardless of which style was chosen was impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I would flag is ensuring the clients are aware of all that's involved, how things operate, and all the finer details. Some client's who are new to this may not know about what questions to ask or what to confirm, so Vidico as the experts should ensure there is understanding and transparency.

Vidico right away understood what style we wanted, the impact we wanted to create and the story that needed to be told.

We have immediately received tons of new business thanks to people viewing our videos on social media and youtube. The video ad Vidico produced outperformed our old ads by 75%. The video is also a great tool to send to potential clients to give them an easily digestible way of understanding our services.

Very good. We had the opportunity to give feedback in each step of the production process and Vidico went the extra mile to make sure they understood what we wanted at all times.

My manager at the time did research to find Vidico. I believe we were referred.

We told Vidico what we were looking for and they gave us three options as a proposal. We went with the option we thought would fit us best, and then we gave them what they needed to complete the script. We went back and forth a few times with edits. They then storyboarded the video. We shared edits, and then we got to see a prototype of the finished video and made final comments before getting the entire package.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

I was so impressed by the project manager. We worked with multiple people throughout the process and I never felt like there was a drop off in responsiveness or quality of work. They took all of our critiques and turned out a really great product.

I was impressed at first by the breadth of examples they gave us and the range of options we had. As we continued, I was most impressed by their project management abilities and how they kept us moving at every point in the process. Some vendors make you feel forgotten, but I feel like Vidico stayed on top of everything for us.
