What was the scope of their involvement?
At the beginning of the project, they drafted a detailed outline that explained their plan for the project. They’ve worked with us on creating TikTok, Google, and Facebook ads.
To start the engagement, we provided the content to them, but they were in charge of making the ads and related captions. They’re now responsible for running the campaigns and looking over performance analytics over time.
If the cost per click (CPC) on any given campaign gets too high, they pause or end the campaign. We trust them to allocate our ad spend in the most effective ways possible.

I work directly with Denis (Web Analyst & Marketing Strategist). There’s a larger team behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Viden?
I found them on Upwork. They had the best reviews for social media marketing. Of all other vendors I spoke to, they were the only ones that didn’t make empty promises.

Our goal was to increase sales through the advertisements, and they have been able to get a 400%–500% ROI. They’re also constantly lowering our CPC, reducing it by about two dollars since the start of our engagement. That exceeded our expectations.
How did Viden perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve stayed organized on objectives and goals. At the end of each month, they provide reports detailing all improvements that need to be made as we move forward. They’ve been very transparent about that entire process.
We communicate through Upwork. They contact us about twice each week with any issues with ads, concerns, or questions for us. We’re able to send videos, pictures, and content needed for the ads through Upwork as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their patience and customer service stand out from others. In addition to doing a wonderful job with our ads, they’re able to explain their process so we understand it. Their willingness to take us through their work in layman’s terms is very helpful. They go above and beyond the call of duty, offering to walk us through tasks that aren’t even included in their scope.

There may be a small language barrier, but that’s on very rare occasions. They have very strong English skills, so it never gets in the way of our communication or relationship.

In March 2019, we first contracted Viden to set up conversion tracking on our website. After scoping out the work involved, Denis developed an implementation plan and tracking specs for our developers. Once the code was implemented by the developers, Denis then verified the tracking and liaised directly with our developers for any issues that had come up.
The result of this project was that we have a very detailed analysis for our ongoing fundraising campaigns and we are now using our data and analytics to inform our strategies going forward. In November 2020, we then launched a new website and we contracted Denis to carry out this same work on our new website.
Despite our new donations system posing challenges to the original work Denis had carried out, both Denis and his team member Alex came up with a solution to ensure we could maintain the same level of tracking.

Denis Zakharych, Founder and Managing Partner of Viden has always been my main contact for our projects. For our first project in March 2019, Denis worked directly on the project. For our second project, Denis remained the lead contac but was joined this time by his team member Alex, Senior Analyst, who also worked alongside him to complete this work.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our organisation went from having zero tracking and blindly developing digital strategies to having data and analytics driven strategies that have resulted in an increase in online donations over the last year and a half.

From start to finish of both projects, we have been extremely satisfied with the work of Viden. They are professional, very easy to communicate with, and extremely efficient with their work. On top of this, they have been very understanding and accommodating to our needs.

I was very impressed with the incredibly in-depth knowledge of analytics and tracking that the Viden team have. Despite not having any experience in this area myself, Denis really took the time to explain every part of the project and has helped me to gain a good understanding of this area now.

What challenge were you trying to address with Viden?
We were looking for a company that could help us manage our Google Ads campaigns, ensuring that we’d get a good amount of traffic and generate adequate profits.
We already knew what a campaign could give us when we hired Viden because our previous provider had generated those numbers. Internally, we knew we could get 70% more traffic, with according revenues.
We had managed it ourselves after ending the collaboration with our previous provider but we weren’t doing a good job. We weren’t completely aware of all the changes Google was bringing in so we started losing reach and impressions. That’s when we decided we needed someone experienced to help us.

What was the scope of their involvement?
I initially hired Viden to make an integration with my website for proper e-commerce tracking Google Analytics reporting. That was a one-time project, and I hired Viden a few months later to do a review of our entire Google Ads account. They’re currently managing our account on an ongoing basis.
Our website was developed in PHP and it has no proper e-commerce platform, but Google Analytics has its own e-commerce tracking tools, which needed to be integrated with our site. Viden helped me with that.

How did Viden perform from a project management standpoint?
Denis is my only contact point and something I’ve been really impressed with is that he has complete control over what’s going on at any point in time. Viden is extremely diligent and meticulous with data analysis and taking action. Their team creates monthly targets for clicks, impressions, and CPC — and they achieve those.
They give me weekly and monthly reports on my performance, along with an overview of next month’s actions. Viden constantly updates information in the account, trying out new things and seeing what’s working and what’s not.
They track revenue and something I haven’t seen with any other provider is that if they see that there’s a slight drop for 3–4 days, they’ll proactively ask me if there’s a problem with the website, its traffic, or whatever else. I’m very appreciative of the effort they’re putting in.

I’m the managing director for an editorial publishing business.

What challenge were you trying to address with Viden?
We obtain new clients via free registrations and offering free information. We were looking to increase our user base, both free and premium, so we could guide them to our funnels and lead them to an instant upgrade a follow-up upgrade.
We were looking to retain customers as much as possible, as well as for high quality leads that would stay with us long-term.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Viden was instrumental in tracking our existing funnels. They measured where users were coming in from and which navigation parts they following and what information they were reading. They suggested an editorial tool to increase the number of funnels that were leading to upgrades.
The team measured all our ads on Google Ads. They worked on all the tracking for our paid advertising and tracking for organic traffic as well. Once we started measuring what we had, we could optimize those funnels and increase the amount of traffic that was directed to the most efficient funnels.
What is the team composition?
We’ve always worked directly with Denis (Founder & Managing Partner). He delegates tasks to the rest of his team.
How did you come to work with Viden?
I found them on Elance and I recall seeing Viden as the top 1% for analytics. By the time we hired them, Elance changed to Upwork. I was lucky to find them when I did.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2016 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve proven to be very competent. Viden has helped us increase our new users by 70%. We’ve never had a reason to look for an alternative to Viden. We’ve never experienced the same commitment with other providers.
Viden helped us reduce click fraud and helped with Dynamic IT blocking; click measurement by IP, click limitation by IP, and all sorts of measures which would reduce our cost of acquisition and lost ad spend.
How did Viden perform from a project management standpoint?
We were quite hands-off with project management. We always provided everything that Denis requested. He’s been very efficient and taught us freedom in terms of experimenting.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their competence and honesty is impressive. We like that we can fully outsource this side of the business so that we can concentrate on what our business does best, which is delivering our services and products.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Denis started small. It would be good if he had some visual or written examples of what he does. He’s grown over the years and I presume he will continue to do that and offer more services.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You have to believe in someone for a relationship to work. You have to believe in their potential, and you have to provide as much information about your business as possible. You need to know your business inside out. That will give Viden a head start to give you a more accurate view of where your business is and where it should be heading.
