Vicepix - Out of Business

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

WEMULCH.COM connects end users on-demand with landclearing or forestry professionals. We just started up on May 1st and I am the founder.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Vicepix, and what were your goals?

We wanted to have explainer videos all over the internet, starting with our frontpage to showcase to users how WEMULCH works and how everyone can benefit from using this platform.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I've looked through all the designwork at Fiverr and instantly knew that VicePix is the one after I saw the first animations. And I'd say I was right. ;-)

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

At first, we started with a draft of the video script which had been defined. In the beginning we only thought about one video, but in the end we worked out two separate videos and vicepix realized both of them with a minor extra fee. After confirming the first draft they started to create a first version of the video with screenshots of each scene.

After a few times of back and forth, we confirmed the script and scenes and they created the animation. In the end they even added a bonus by placing nice sound effects to the animations. Great work! In the end we even got the characters and graphics as separate files to use it for our website.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with one person and always had very short response times, sometimes even in the middle of the night. Even when we changed the scoped they stayed focussed and helped us to get sorted.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're currently sending the video to all PROs who want to register. And all of them (about 20) understood our basic principles and USPs because of the simplicity of the video. Other design agencies I showed it had been jealous ...

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Timelines had been kept at all times and even overdelivered. When they said they would send a deliverable within a certain time, they usually delivered it a day earlier. Very professional work!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of video, audio, animation and sound FX we got for such a fair amount of money. And that the amount was a fix price right from the start (after they saw the script) and not re-negotiated due to whatevery reason.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Could not be better. They absolutely amazed me and my creative team throughout the collaboration.
