I’m the founder of an IT services and consulting company.

We needed help with software development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially provided Version Lambda GmbH with a detailed specification of the project. Based on that, they built an API using Python. The solution was a small dashboard for a data analytics application that allowed us to transfer data from a database to another.

What was the team composition?

We worked with two teammates: a project manager and a developer.

How did you come to work with Version Lambda GmbH?

I met the company’s founder here in Germany.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started the project in September 2022, and it took about two months to be completed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This project was a basis for developing our software further, so we don’t have any metrics. However, we can say that Version Lambda GmbH’s work met our expectations.

How did Version Lambda GmbH perform from a project management standpoint?

They did the work on time and respected the budget and schedule. Overall, their project management was excellent.

We used Microsoft Teams to communicate, and they had a project management tool. However, we didn’t really use it because the project was small.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They respected all of our specifications and did an excellent job.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their offer could’ve been more clear.

For what projects/services did your company hire Version Lambda GmbH?

We are using AWS as a cloud provider quite extensively. We wanted the team to learn more about the security aspect on AWS features we are using and for that Version Lambda GmbH provided AWS security training. We might also work with them in future on some specific consulting projects.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked at couple of other vendors for the security training. There were mainly 2 reasons why we selected the vendor:

• Our CTO knew about them from his network and other organizations they worked with recommended them
• We got the course details from them and shared with the team. We were happy with the content
• Miglen is CISO expert. We also looked at the linkedin profile and were happy to go ahead with that

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

• Miglen first looked at our infrastructure to design the course/ training for our needs
• He prepared the course in advance and we had 3 days training
• Courses were quite hands on as well which was good to keep the attendees interested
• At the end of the course, Miglen also shared the recommendations based on the importance
• We plan to collaborate more in future in consulting capacity to get help from Miglen on some of the recommendations

• Miglen - CISO expert, he conducted the training
• Luben - CEO , he helped us in setting up the the training

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are quite happy with the outcomes from the training. We were able to achieve quite a few objectives we had set up for the training :

• Upskill team about AWS features and cloud security i general
• Overview of our current infrastructure
• Recommendations on the improvements we need to make

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was quite good. We had 4 hours training everyday which was intensive. We had regular breaks and exercises in between kept attendees interested

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They knew about cloud security. They were quite knowledgeable, and we learned a lot during the week.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think it was quite good. Maybe a bit more interactive when there is lots of theory/ text to talk about
