I'm the director of consulting delivery at CGI, a global IT and business consulting company. We provide end-to-end services in consulting, systems integration, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, data, and AI. We help organizations accelerate digital transformation and achieve business outcomes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Velv?

We needed help identifying and attracting talented IT consultants who combine strong technical expertise with excellent soft skills. Our goal was to strengthen our teams with the right people to consistently deliver high-quality services and greater value to our clients.

These include full-stack developers, DevOps engineers, architects, low-code specialists, data professionals, Scrum masters, testers, and other technical roles. This flexibility allows us to reinforce different teams and projects with the right skills when needed.

Velv has also helped us respond quickly to new client demands by providing qualified profiles across different technologies and roles. Several consultants have remained with our teams for extended periods, which we see as a strong indicator of both performance and successful integration.

How did Velv perform from a project management standpoint?

Our engagement with Velv is primarily focused on consultants who integrate directly into our teams and projects, rather than Velv providing dedicated project management. From this perspective, the collaboration has worked very well. Their consultants integrate smoothly into our delivery model, meet their commitments, and contribute effectively to delivering our projects and services on time and with the expected quality.We communicate through in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and emails or messaging apps.

Velv has been flexible and responsive in adapting to these changes, so at this point, there's nothing specific we would highlight for improvement. Maintaining this level of agility, communication, and close collaboration will continue to be important.
