What was the scope of their involvement?

VALMAX has designed and developed a website for us. We started this project by addressing the requirements for the website, including its features, functions, and design. The UI/UX design and the technologies and features that would be embedded into the website were some of the main aspects of the project. Although we had an existing website, the new website was built from scratch. As for the technology stack, the team has used WordPress for the development and Figma for the design.

We started working with VALMAX on this website. However, since completing the website, we've assigned them other projects. We leverage their design services, and we also partner with them to provide website development, branding, and company profile setup for our end customers.

What is the team composition?

I deal directly with Vlad (CEO), who is my main point of contact and handles my account. I know that he has a few other employees, but I haven't worked with them.

How did you come to work with VALMAX?

We had worked with a couple of other website development companies, but they all failed to deliver a unique and creative website. Eventually, I reached out to VALMAX through Clutch. I saw some good reviews about them, so I decided to hire them.

We've spent around $6,000 on multiple internal projects. Considering the work done for our end customers, we've spent around $11,000 in total.

VALMAX understands what we want and still contributes their own thoughts and ideas to prevent us from doing something less efficient or less creative. They've come up with more creative ideas and solutions. Overall, they've done a great job.

How did VALMAX perform from a project management standpoint?

For every project, we've kept requesting additional things and changes, but every time VALMAX promises a deadline, they deliver before it. As for communication, we only use emails and online meetings. Overall, the team has been very professional and responsive.

I would like to give a shout-out to Vlad.

What did you find most impressive about them?

VALMAX cares about our projects as if they were their own. They negotiate with us on how to do things better, and they always try to understand why and how we want things to be done to deliver accordingly. Most of the time, they deliver even something better than what we envisioned.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everybody has something to improve, but I've been very comfortable with the way VALMAX has been doing things. I don't think there's anything specific that would make any client unhappy. Their work is worth every penny. From a business expansion perspective, getting to know more about the Arabic characters and tools is an opportunity for them to grow. Still, it doesn't represent a blocker or challenge.

Perhaps a more refined process or tool could have been employed during the research phase to more effectively capture the desired vision, design preferences, look, feel, mood, and style. While they ultimately nailed it, a different approach might have expedited and streamlined the process.

The thing I liked the most about VALMAX DIGITAL was their web development knowledge. Additionally, they adapted the website design very quickly to our type of business, demonstrating that they are adaptive regarding their design process.

On top of that, VALMAX DIGITAL's research was top-notch. They did a lot of research about our business so that they could advise properly in different ways. We're a new luxury retail company, so we haven't run this type of business before. Still, their team was able to provide great advice. Moreover, they did a lot of revisions without complaints — we had as many revisions as we wanted.

We needed a whole redesign of our web assets. Our existing website was old and lucky because it had been created several years ago, so it wasn't presenting us in the best light. We had a lot of demands and needs for this project, and VALMAX DIGITAL was the only company able to say yes to all our requests.

What was the scope of their involvement?

VALMAX DIGITAL has helped revamp our web presence. One week after we started our conversation, we provided them with a brief. We had initially mapped our website; this was a diagram I put together outlining the interconnections between the different pages, the value of those different pages, the user flow through them, and the needs of each page.

For the first phase of the project, VALMAX DIGITAL had to design something that was more representative of our brand, so there was a lot of design work involved. It took a lot of back and forth until we could actually get to the right type of design and layout we were looking for on our website.

We were also looking for a website with a range of functionalities and abilities to place content and gate it depending on the users we were targeting and the people visiting our site. VALMAX DIGITAL has created a backend for our site that allows us to give users access to more in-depth content pertaining to the industry vertical they belong to.

Currently, we're about to finalize the website. We're just adding final touches needed, but the project itself is done.

What is the team composition?

I initially spoke to Vlad (CEO) and Maksym (Business Development Manager). Maksym has led a lot of the project management efforts and has been keenly involved in the design process because the project has been quite demanding from a design perspective. As the project advanced, I started working directly with Maksym.

How did you come to work with VALMAX DIGITAL?

I found them online. During my research, I looked at a lot of potential partners, some of whom were based in London and some others in Sweden. Basically, I was scouting the globe to find the right agency to work with. I ultimately chose VALMAX DIGITAL because none of those other companies could really promise to deliver the project as we wanted, and some of them offered very elevated costs.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2024, and the partnership is ongoing. Although we're close to ending the project, we hopefully will return to VALMAX DIGITAL whenever we need new pages or new web assets.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The feedback from customers has been generally very positive. They've told us that our new website is more in tune with our brand and what we offer. As for the internal feedback, everyone seems to love our new website.

As for quantitative feedback, it is hard to provide actual numbers because we have multiple projects going on, so tracking of metrics depends on other things. For example, there was a time when we actually lost user accounts, so it's hard to tell for sure the impact of the new website.

However, comparing the last two weeks of data to last year's same period, our metrics are actually stronger. Our business is very cyclical, so this result is actually impressive. Still, I can't provide more accurate data because the new website launch is quite fresh.

How did VALMAX DIGITAL perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything has been delivered on time. Although there have been small delays, those were caused by us wanting to go back to the drawing board. When we moved ahead with the project, we realized that we wanted a little bit more than what we had commissioned.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Maksym has been brilliant. We've been incredibly demanding and a bit difficult because our business vertical requires a lot of different considerations. There's also been a lot of technical requirements outlined in our brief, although we could have been a lot better in that regard. Still, Maksym has always been very good at picking up on those missing details.

In addition to that, the design phase took longer than anticipated, although it was mainly due to us, not VALMAX DIGITAL. Still, Maksym was able to take the time to meet with us, receive record calls, and understand what designs we liked. We went into this project without a clear layout for the design, but he was able to think it out from thin air, which was incredible by itself.

What did you find most impressive about them?

VALMAX DIGITAL has thought about everything I've wanted from a marketing perspective without me having to ask for it. Initially, we wanted a website using a preexisting theme, but we weren't sure about it. Maksym talked with me and told me that they could use the theme we wanted but warned me that it would make the website heavier and clunkier. He also offered to build the website entirely from scratch for us.

Initially, I was a little bit nervous about building the site from scratch. However, I ultimately found the backend they built to be very simple and easy to use. For example, they recently set up a case study feature, which creates a case study page for each case study.

Thanks to this feature, I can simply go to the backend, create a new case study, paste the text, and change the images and colors myself without affecting the site. I break things very easily, but thus far, I haven't broken the site.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing VALMAX DIGITAL could improve on. They've been incredible, and the project would have been a lot harder with another agency.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Create a map for the site you want in order to convey what you want to achieve easily. Moreover, spend time outlining the brief. We could have saved ourselves a lot of time if we had a clear brief from the start. Still, some of the best features and setups of our website came from VALMAX DIGITAL's side, as they suggested them based on what we wanted to achieve.
