I'm the manager of a coworking space in Switzerland that opened in January 2024.

What challenge were you trying to address with Valais Web?

We needed to build and design a website and a booking platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Valais Web has built our website and booking platform. The platform allows users to book memberships or day passes weekly and manages access to the space. For example, if someone books a daily pass, they receive a code that unlocks the door. 

The team has built the frontend of the website using WordPress. It's a simple website with information about our coworking space. They've also integrated the backend with different APIs using Ruby on Rails, connecting to the doors, the access system, memberships, the booking, and the payments.

We've given them a design brief with the colors and fonts we use for our brand. They've helped us refine that and guided us through the process of defining precise requirements for the platform. They’ve built everything from scratch. 
The website and the booking platform still need finishing touches, so they provide maintenance and hosting services.

We started working with Valais Web in September 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're not fully operating yet, but we've had a good conversion rate of people signing up for the newsletter to get more information. A few dozen people have signed up, and the landing page has a good conversion rate. We've already had a few customers, and everything has run smoothly. The payment processing and bookings are working well.

How did Valais Web perform from a project management standpoint?

The team delivered everything on time and within budget. We agreed on the budget beforehand, and we're not in a hurry. The website was ready in less than a month.

We communicate via WhatsApp, email, phone calls, and in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're happy with the results. The team has done good work, and the price-quality ratio is good. Other providers have much higher budgets. For what it is worth, it was a complex project. We also contacted other agencies and were a little hesitant because we thought cheaper wasn't better. The team has exceeded our expectations in that regard. Overall, they're a friendly and helpful team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It isn't really a problem, but having a centralized source of information could be helpful. We didn't want to sign up for Slack or other tools, but having everything centralized could be helpful.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Define the project's scope in advance so you know what you’ll get for the price. Be open about what you want and don’t want, what you like and don’t like, and if something needs to be changed.
