I’m the president of a commercial general contractor. We provide services primarily to federal and government clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with V2M2 Group, Inc.?

We needed help with video editing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

As a company, we pay it forward to other small businesses. As our company has grown, I’ve had a lot of “lessons learned”. This project is to produce and edit videos based on these lessons.

On our end, we recorded an hour of raw footage in an interview-style format. V2M2 is editing the video and breaking it down into four smaller videos. The team is also preparing thumbnails for the large and smaller videos.

The team is creating a 12-second intro for each video that highlights the topic with a theme. For the subsequent videos they’re editing, they’ll add the bookends, which included a thumbnail, an introductory video, and a little snippet of the video that they’re doing. At the end, they’ll include credits, too.

I work with Franklin (Owner) and Alex (Editor).

How did you come to work with V2M2 Group, Inc.?

I don’t recall how I met them, but I shared my challenge and budget. I took a look at samples of work they’ve done, and also looked at their work on YouTube. From their work, I picked out what I wanted them to incorporate in my videos. They’re also small and veteran-owned, just like we are.

How much have you invested with them?

We plan to spend $5,000 in total. We’ve spent $3,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We signed an agreement in July 2020, and our work is ongoing. They’re already done with the first four videos and we anticipate another month or two before everything is completed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

This is our first time creating a video and responsibilities on both sides were outlined clearly. Because it’s our first time, some of it is a little bumpy. The team is flexible and open to communicating on how to best move forward. They don’t take advantage of us at all.

How did V2M2 Group, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very good and they actually work faster than we do. The government takes a long time to approve changes, which slows down the process a lot. V2M2 is very accommodating despite things taking so long. We use Basecamp for project management.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their flexibility stands out. The team doesn’t have any attitude even though we’re going outside of scope and things are taking longer than anticipated. They’re great people and we’re working through this project together.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We could’ve done a better job detailing the process on both ends. We both had ideas of how things should go outside of what’s written, which led to miscommunication.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to detail expectations clearly. Dig into the specifics, step by step. Discuss what each side anticipates a finished product to look like and it’ll turn out great.

I manage and lead the Experimax Naperville in providing computer, tablet, and smartphone repairs. The company specializes is selling pre-owned Mac computers, iPhones, and iPads.

The vendor received recommendations in the community.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

After selecting them, they tried different methods for our market and business. They asked for scope and responsibilities that were restricted based on the franchise. As a result, they were willing to try alternatives.

What was the team composition?

I worked with the principal of the company as well as two associates. I am not sure how many others were involved at their company.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

At the end of the trial, we had concrete steps to take for improvements.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

During meetings and electronic communications, we had frank discussions about things that worked and things that did not work.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to have frank discussions is a strength of their company. Also flexibility

Are there any areas for improvement?

Faster feedback would have helped in one case.

V2M2 Group, Inc. came in and took over everything. They run our social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and do everything in their power to make us more visible in the community. Whenever someone comments on our posts, they are responsible for responding.

How did you come to work with V2M2 Group, Inc.?

I'm involved in the chamber with the owner of V2M2 Group. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working together since December 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we started working together, a lot more people have begun to notice our practice. Many of them told me that they found us online. We also get referrals from our website which indicates that V2M2 Group, Inc. is doing everything they need to. 

How did V2M2 Group, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They are great. We use phone calls and email to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everyone from V2M2 Group, Inc. is very personable and helpful. Anytime I have questions or concerns, they're quick to respond. They always make sure I understand and never leave me with unanswered questions. I've never felt like I'm bothering them when we talk. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no complaints at all, to be honest.

I’m the development director of 360 Youth Services. We’re a nonprofit based in the western suburbs of Chicago. We provide guidance to young people.

We needed to amplify our social media presence in advance of our signature annual fundraiser.

We wanted to establish stronger brand visibility with our event promotion and solicit a broader donor base to support our agency’s mission.

How did you select this vendor?

They had a growing reputation in our local community. Their team also had a strong interest in supporting low-income youth.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

V2M2 Group, Inc. created and launched a series of appreciation videos for us to share with our community. The videos express gratitude to our corporate sponsors. After some analysis, their team put together a messaging, scheduling, and release plan to introduce each visual across our various outreach platforms effectively. We also shared them via social media accounts.

What was the team composition?

We worked with their CEO and their program director.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We recorded historical attendance numbers at this year’s annual youth gala.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were very impressed with their team’s responsiveness. They had a strong vision for final products, and with an efficient work ethic, they delivered before our deadline.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were consistently communicative and focused on our needs as the customer. We felt that they truly valued our business relationship, and their work supported that impression.

No, we look forward to working with them again, and we’ll expect the same level of quality we received from this first engagement.

We are Naperville Newcomers and Neighbors Club, and I’m the treasurer. We are a community organization that welcomes residents of Naperville and surrounding areas while keeping them informed of activities in the neighborhood.

What challenge were you trying to address with V2M2 Group, Inc.?

Our users are mostly within the 50-70 years age range. Because of this, the site needed to be more user-friendly and accessible from the payment processes to the layout. We wanted users to be able to make payments on the right page and have our home page become a landing page full of information.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The V2M2 Group, Inc. made our site easily accessible in various ways. They transformed our home page to include our company’s information on it as well as community opportunities for users to partake in. Additionally, they formatted our site in a more organized, efficient way. Now the information is more succinct and moves from left to right. They implemented the payment feature we needed, so users can easily pay on the site. The V2M2 Group, Inc. also gave us ideas for adding video components to our landing page instead of static images.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with the owner of the company. We liked his unique approach of having graduate students working on some projects for course credit, but we didn’t directly interact with them or his staff.

How did you come to work with V2M2 Group, Inc.?

I had worked with similar companies in a more corporate setting, but since our organization is much smaller, we chose to work with V2M2 Group, Inc. and received the same high quality of work.

How much have you invested with them?

As a small non-profit, we’ve spent less than $500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in May, and we launched the project by the middle of June.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen an increase in site traffic, which is a combination of V2M2 Group, Inc.'s work and the new brochure that we put in visitor bureaus. Also, our site is easier to find online and simpler to navigate on every device.

How did V2M2 Group, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team was exceptional in communicating their needs and progress to us. We had face-to-face meetings to discuss the project. They provided efficiency and clarity when it came to timelines. Additionally, the owner’s leadership and guidance were excellent. They took the time to show us our options and communicate with us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They provide a fantastic value and support system for a low cost. Their willingness to teach a small grassroots organization how to use the systems stood out to us. They also gave us multiple options for future additions to the site, which we appreciated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should continue doing their presentations to gain more attention for the excellent work they are doing. It helps people know how versatile and personalized their company’s approach is.
