OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

• We hired Ubertesters to perform real-world testing of our payment and money transfer flows across different iOS and Android devices and multiple geographic markets. Ubertesters provided real-world crowd testing of our payment and money transfer experience across a variety of iOS and Android mobile devices. Testing was conducted primarily with testers in the U.S. and Guatemala, with additional testing in Honduras, Mexico, and El Salvador.

The main test flows covered:

One of the main scenarios involved a U.S.-based tester adding funds to the app and transferring them to a Guatemala-based tester. The Guatemala tester completed KYC, signed in, received the funds, and then used the balance to purchase Ding services. Ubertesters also coordinated physical MoneyGram testing, with Guatemala-based testers visiting local MoneyGram locations and receiving cash.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Ubertesters helped us validate critical payment and money transfer journeys across iOS and Android devices and multiple geographic markets. The testing identified issues with app functionality on both platforms, as well as problems related to KYC verification, notifications, SMS, and MoneyGram transfers. The real-world testing also provided valuable feedback on different cash-out and payment journeys and helped us identify areas where the user experience could be improved before launch. Testing also successfully validated real customer journeys, including users sending funds, receiving balances, spending those funds, and successfully claiming funds through supported channels.

The project management was well organised and responsive. Ubertesters coordinated testers across different countries and devices and helped us keep track of issues throughout both testing cycles. Their issue-reporting portal was particularly useful for keeping track of reported issues and their status. The feedback and results were clear and useful for our team when deciding what needed to be improved.

What impressed us most was their ability to coordinate complex, real-world payment testing involving testers in different countries and different roles in the same transaction. The testing went beyond basic app functionality. Testers completed full payment journeys, including registration, KYC, sending and receiving funds, spending balances, and cashing out through MoneyGram. Having testers physically visit MoneyGram locations was also particularly valuable because it allowed us to validate the experience beyond the app itself.

Ubertesters provided full crowdtesting services for the Viber app. They tested core features like messaging, calls, and media sharing across various devices, OS versions, and locations. The team also checked UI/UX, localization accuracy, and app performance under different network conditions. Regular regression testing was done after each update or fix.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• The project led to a significant improvement in app quality. Over
• 95% of critical bugs were identified and resolved before release. We saw a 40%
• reduction in the app’s crash rate in the tested versions. User-reported issues decreased
• noticeably after updates, and localization accuracy improved across more than ten
• languages. Additionally, our release cycles became faster due to fewer QA bottlenecks.

For each project, Ubertesters assigns a professional project manager, along with a community manager, responsible for locating the best fitted testers and testing devices. All tests were done on time and within budget with excellent results - many bugs were found that could have never  been found using tranditional QA processes in the lab. Ubertesters employees are very flexible. 
We could easily approach anyone in the company from the project manager to Ubertesters CEO. Their service is superb with a lot of attention to details. Their home-grown management platform is very advanced and efficient.

The company understands that each customer has its own specific requirements, and tailors the solutions to these needs. For example, in one of our products we had to test some very specific payments systems, used in far-eastern countries. Ubertesters targetted and found very quickly a group of testers from these countries that could use these specific payment methods. 
After just a couple of days the test was done and all results were presented to us in a consice manner, so we could launch the product with confidence.

Ubertesters ran multiple testing cycles across 7 different products- covering usability testing, exploratory testing, functionality testing, and structured user feedback collection. 

Testing was carried out on both desktop (Windows and macOS) and mobile (iOS and Android) devices, with testers located across the US, Canada, and various European countries.  

In several cycles, testers were interviewed live so we could walk them through the product for the first time, ask direct questions about clarity and understanding, and capture their first impressions in real time. Key deliverables included detailed issue reports with reproduction steps and severity context, plus UX questionnaires that gave us structured, actionable feedback on the overall user journey.
