I’m the founder of Think.Digital. We produce immersive technology solutions for the agricultural sector.

What challenge were you trying to address with Treeview.studio?

We didn’t have the internal capacity to develop a Unity application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Treeview is our outsourced development partner. Their team helped us deliver an AR and VR app based in Unity. In addition to Unity, they used Oculus and VIVE to build the iOS and Android app. Their team also built a server-side app for hosting our content. They used Firebase and other technologies.

Later in our partnership, we hired internal resources to support production. Treeview helped upskill and onboard those internal team members. We also provided them with an email address, and on many occasions, Treeview has communicated with clients via email on our behalf.

What is the team composition?

Between 3–4 people from Treeview have worked on our account.

How did you come to work with Treeview.studio?

We posted a job on Fiverr, and Treeview made the connection. Horacio (Management & Development) came to Australia and spent a month with our company to better understand us. We realized that this could be a strategic development relationship in which we could leverage each other’s skillsets.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in 2018, and we’re still working with them. As we hired internal resources, we moved on from using Treeview’s services on a daily basis. We’re now building an ad hoc partnership, so Treeview will work on major projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We wouldn’t be a leader in agricultural immersive tech without Treeview. They have greatly contributed to our success. Their team was also willing to help train internal staff members, which was an amazing contribution. It enabled us to move on from using Treeview on a daily basis.

Treeview adds value to our partnership by giving us new ideas. We could always outsource to a company that completes a brief but not always find a company that offers us new ways to think. Treeview joins us at the helm and contributes at a strategic level, which is really important.

How did Treeview.studio perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Monday to manage the relationship. They also use a time tracking tool, so their team provides us with a breakdown of their daily activities. Their team is not only behind the scenes but also on the front line because we gave them an internal email address. Treeview has always met deadlines. Horacio's English language skills are excellent too.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Treeview developed a repository of code that we can reuse. It initially costs a bit more to develop a commons of code but there’s a lot more profit in future projects because we’re able to use the code. Treeview understood our business’s long-term goals and developed a code library that we can reuse in future projects. That has allowed us to be not only more profitable but also confident because we can build on that foundation.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I would consider their services almost flawless. They could potentially work on their 2D interfaces. However, Treeview focuses on immersive interfaces.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Treeview.studio developed the platform to operate our business. They’ve used Unity, hosting in Google, and many other technologies.

What is the team composition?

We work with around 6 people.

How did you come to work with Treeview.studio?

I asked around in Uruguay and they were recommended several times. When I contacted them, I liked their proposal and started working with them right away. 

How much have you invested in them?

We spent about $25,000 in the initial stage of the project. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our collaboration three months ago, and the project is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve started to show the results to my clients and have received great feedback. They love the visuals and the technology implemented in the system. It’s very user-friendly, fast, and easy to access. 

It’s something very innovative and unique. Also, we are working on new features that are just great. The project is still in development, but we've seen very positive results so far. 

How did Treeview.studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication is great. Even though we are working remotely they’ve been very present and have a fast response. They have also been very strict with deadlines which is something that’s hard to find when working on technology projects.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand perfectly what we are looking for. The UI/UX of the platform is great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would like to have more in-person meetings, but I understand that it was my decision to work remotely, so it's not an issue on their part.

We hired Treeview to develop a custom 3D gym design software for our customers

The goal of this project was to provide a user-friendly application that would allow our customers to create their future space and gain perspective on the cost of that space

How did you select this vendor?

Before Treeview was formed, we worked with one of its founders, Horacio. We were impressed with Horacio's knowledge and dedication to his customers so we knew that wherever He went, we wanted to be a client

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Treeview designed a 3D gym design application that allows are users to build their gymnastics or Ninja facility from the ground up. In addition, the software calculates an estimated project cost as the customer designs and also allows users to track maintenance checks on their equipment

What was the team composition?

Horacio has been the point of contact for us since day 1. He manages the overall project and works closely with Mateo who handles a good bit of the development side of the project

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Treeview created a unique and effective application for AG customers. We have seen promising growth in the number of users over the last several years. Treeview continues to enhance the software to suit our ever growing needs and are always attentive to any small bugs that may pop up.

They are an amazing group to work with and make it clear you are valued as a customer. They work tirelessly during development sprints to make sure they hit promised deadlines. I highly recommend these guys!

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Treeview is always timely and organized. We are constantly kept in the loop on the progress of a particular development period. They are always right on time with respect to deadlines and even accommodated us with short notice requests that most companies would normally tell you they can't do

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are professional, knowledgeable, communicative, reasonably priced and organized. All very desirable traits of a software development company

Are there any areas for improvement?

We've been extremely happy with the guys at Treeview and haven't found anything we would change about our experience with them. We envision always having some sort of relationship with Treeview as long as we are in operation

Complete assembly and execution of multiple VR/AR Platforms. Collaborative Creative designs, envisionment of new idea and features and ways to achieve them in development.

What were your goals for this project?

Meditainment VR, was developed as a therapeutic transformational technology using clinically proven research in neuro and cognitive science to treat people with various forms of mental afflictions such as anxiety, stress, pain reduction, fear, depression, PTSD, insomnia, procrastination, life goals etc...

How did you select this vendor?

We had worked with this team on a previous early stage project in AR

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

TreeView Studios has exceeded our expectations on all levels across VR and AR developments. They have been able to develop every feature and function we've requested, as well as make suggestions for other great features. At times where the hardware limitations of our AR glasses got in the way of supporting features, they thought outside of the box using complex trigonometry algorithms to make strong headway beyond what we thought was a dead end.

Their ability to properly build side platforms for mobile devices, web portals, remote controllers and other apps has further expanded our functionality. We plan to work with Tree View Studios for a long time to come.

What was the team composition?

Horacio, the head developer is great at discussing features and best means to achieve them in the platform. He works with a talented team of designers and developers who have brought all of our ideas to life.

Our whole business is this platform - they have been wonderful in helping us build exactly what we were looking for and beyond.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project management is superior. there is complete accountability and enormous efforts to make and keep deadlines. Always gets the job done and responds to feedback and updates without ego with fast updates and fixes to requests.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their overall knowledge, design ability, and development abilities set them apart.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We are happy with all the work we've done together.

I'm the CEO of Engineus LLC, an AR app development company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with TreeView Studios?

We reached out to TreeView to develop a facial recognition platform shortly after the iPhone X came out, using AR/VR technology. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TreeView developed our platform for iOS, from concept to implementation. They initially helped us develop the wireframes over Skype, and then built the facial recognition platform using Unity, Firebase, and other plugins to make it compatible with both iOS and Android. 

What is the team composition? 

I primarily work with three people, including Horacio (Managing Director, TreeView Studios) and other developers on his team as needed. 

How did you come to work with TreeView Studios?

I believe we found them on Upwork when we were researching companies with a strong background in the latest iOS technologies. After asking different vendors what they could accomplish within a week, TreeView's plan for a proof of concept was the most impressive. They also seemed very collaborative. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've probably invested over $100,000 thus far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started talking to TreeView in January 2019 and the project is still ongoing. We plan to expand the scope once we raise more capital.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We couldn't have asked for better partners. They take complete ownership of their work and go the extra mile when necessary to meet our expectations. They've even worked long hours (without complaint) in order to help us achieve our goals quickly. 

How did TreeView Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

They're a phenomenal team to work with overall. I can get ahold of them late into the night for urgent issues that they're able to resolve by the next morning. They're also very transparent about project timelines and cost, staying within at least 80–90% of projected timelines and budgets. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're not only extremely innovative but also very forward-thinking. Their knowledge of current technologies and trends helps us plan ongoing phases of the platform.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They are excellent, collaborative developers, but don't expect too much more from them when it comes to marketing or other services they don't specialize in.
