We had some products that we wanted to translate into Spanish, French, and Hebrew.

Translation AZ provided translation services in Spanish, French, and Hebrew. We told them how we wanted the translations to look and where the pictures should be. We also wanted all of them to be in the same format. For example, if you look at one, it would be arranged in a certain way so that the images wouldn’t be disturbed.

I was searching on the internet, and Translation AZ got my attention. I liked their name, so I contacted them. They responded very quickly. We had a WhatsApp call and a face-to-face call. I told them what I wanted, and they said they could do it.

We spent around $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in the fall of 2024. The project took close to two and a half weeks.

Translation AZ was very quick. The team was open and responsive. Sometimes, they responded to us within the same day. Translation AZ delivered work on time and on budget. We communicated via email, WhatsApp, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Translation AZ was quick and responsive. I’m very busy and don’t have time for nonsense, so I liked that there wasn’t much back-and-forth. The team promised to do it, and they delivered quickly. I didn’t have to deal with any pain or harassment.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn’t look for anything they could improve on. The team understood what I wanted.

Keep it short and don’t complicate things. Translation AZ works quickly, so don’t try to overcommunicate.

I’m the healthcare program manager for the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, a mental health nonprofit that provides free education to the community surrounding youth.

What challenge were you trying to address with Translation AZ?

We needed to translate our mental health resources to make them more accessible to the community. A big problem that many parents encounter in the mental health field, especially if they don’t speak English, is that there are a lot of unfamiliar terms. We wanted to avoid the situation where the child is translating information to their parent when they’re the ones in mental health distress. We wanted to ensure that our resources were available to everybody going through these experiences.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Translation AZ has translated our mental health resources. We have some printed resources and toolkits that parents use to talk to their children about mental health. Another toolkit guides parents on what to do if their child goes to the emergency department. We also have online training used all over the US for K–12 schools to fulfill their suicide prevention training requirements as educators. Translation AZ has translated all of those materials for our organization.

Some of the content includes medical language and is sensitive, so we needed to ensure that the translations were converted properly, especially when it had to do with mental health and suicide prevention. The team has also translated pamphlets that we give out at tabling events into Spanish. Additionally, other resources that promote our online resources have also been translated into different languages.

Translation AZ has done translations for 13 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Gujarati, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, and Ukrainian. If we need to update a resource, we ensure that it's updated in all 13 languages.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2024, and the engagement is ongoing. The main project was concluded in July 2024, and we continue to collaborate with the team when we need to update resources.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

A different team reviews our translations, and everything seems to be great. Overall, customer satisfaction has been great. The team's work quality is accurate and sensitive to the topics we need.

How did Translation AZ perform from a project management standpoint?

Translation AZ’s project management is great. They follow up if I’ve neglected to respond to them. They’re proactive in asking questions and are willing to connect with our other agency that designs our website. We’ve needed them to clarify some questions with each other on the backend of uploading things, and Translation AZ has been great at working with another company.

Translation AZ is a self-starter and proactive. We collaborate over email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Translation AZ is quick. A couple of times, we’ve needed to update a phrase, and they’ve done it for free.

I'm the CEO of Krentz Education & Immigration Services, an organization that helps international and American students find schools and fill out required immigration forms. We also help others fill out residency paperwork required to become a U.S. citizen after marriage.

What challenge were you trying to address with Translation AZ?

We needed a reliable partner that could translate documents into various languages to submit paperwork that could then be verified by the USCIS Immigration Department on behalf of our clients. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Translation AZ provides translations services for our clients, mostly pertaining to Eastern European languages from countries that include Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Serbia, and the Czech Republic. We generally submit documents to our project manager as needed and she works with her internal team to get the proper translation turned around to us. They also help us verify English-written letters from our clients compared to documents in the language of origin to ensure accuracy.

We work directly with Andrea (Translator and General Manager, Translation AZ), who works with a team of probably 20-30 translators with different language capabilities. 

How did you come to work with Translation AZ?

I'd worked with other translation companies in the past and found that Translation AZ was more competitively priced for the quality of work they produce. They're also great communicators and got back to me immediately when I first reached out, so their customer service was impressive from the start.

We've been working together since about 2014.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Translation AZ provides high-quality translations, fast turnaround times, and great customer service overall. They've added a lot of value to our business over the years, contributing to our 10% growth each year. Our students have also been very impressed by the clean copy they create.

How did Translation AZ perform from a project management standpoint?

I pride myself on being very available to my clients, and Translation AZ has a very similar attitude. They're very responsive and quick to turnaround every project we send their way, especially last-minute requests with strict deadlines. We mostly communicate through email but talk over the phone when necessary. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They spend a lot of time training their staff, ensuring they maintain a strong communications model. They're very approachable and have a great attitude, which is refreshing to come across. They also work with us to look over letters students write in English, which helps them feel more involved in the process, which is a service a lot of translation companies wouldn't be as open to.

I don't have any suggestions.

Spend some time getting to know their team over the phone or in person to develop a good relationship with them.

They perform great quality work. I have never had an investor reject any translation completed by Translation AZ.

We don't start any assignment until we've had a comprehensive discussion about the volume of work involved, our clients' industries, and the posting schedule. In terms of cost, they're flexible about the pricing structure. We've negotiated a fee per project rather than a cost per word/page, which has provided a lot of value for us.

How would you describe/assess the quality of their work? 

Our clients are pleased with our work, which we attribute partially to Translation AZ’s efforts. Now that our English proficiency and text localization are going well, we’re working with them to roll out projects in other languages to test out the markets. So far, we’ve done small assignments in Spanish and German but are moving our attention to East European countries (e.g., Bulgaria, Slovenia).

It's not about whether or not we’re impressed; rather, it’s about our clients’ satisfaction. Our main goal is to land the top ranking in Google searches, and we’re able to work toward that goal with Translation AZ. The more success we see, the happier our clients are. On top of that, we’re able to maintain a normal business relationship where everyone does their job to achieve the best possible results.
