Chris and his team set up the direct ethernet connection the day before, brought their professional sound and camera equipment, and streamed everything flawlessly around the world via Zoom. They even recorded the conference for us. A+ work.

The CEO ran the sound board and mixer, and a staffer operated the camera and dealt with all technical issues.

I've worked with Chris and the Transcendent team on many video projects over the span of 18 months. We worked collaboratively on everything from storyboarding, production, editing to distribution. He and his team are extremely creative, practical, and kept our overall goals and budget top of mind with every suggestion and decision.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Chris, CEO, as well as several talented videographers on set. Behind the scenes I worked with his executive assistant who liaised with the editors. Everyone understood our deadlines and dedicated time appropriately to meet them. Despite some challenging deadlines and high-pressure situations, his team always came through.

Anecdotally, the videos were always well received by our target audiences.

Efficient. The most effective tool was their video editing platform. As the client, I could very easily suggest edits. Never once did they question or miss a deadline, which is even more impressive given we often needed a 24-hour turnaround.

We had meetings together to scope out the flow of these events. The team was very knowledgeable and came to the table with ideas and solutions. They were at events throughout June, starting in the early morning and ending in the evening. When the events were over, we continued the relationship and the company culled through hours of content to create a dynamic video showcasing the impact of the events.

I worked with Chris directly and then with Corinthia, they were both very responsive and reactive with deadlines.

I’m a producer and the general manager of the musical, Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom. Our umbrella organization is Loire Valley Theater Festival Inc., but people know us better for the show’s name. It’s a nonprofit organization that produces educational and entertainment properties for families and kids.

What challenge were you trying to address with Transcendent Enterprise?

Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we were on the road for a tour throughout the country. Once the pandemic started, we switched the live musical to a streaming property which we booked into schools, performing arts centers, and theaters across the country. We hired Transcendent to help us with our technological and streaming needs.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Transcendent has been our technical experts, and they’ve also done video editing work for us. We deal with a lot of platforms, such as Zoom, Google Meet, YouTube, and other platforms that venues have asked us to use. The team has also supplied us with customized links to the streaming version of our show. 

On top of that, we’ve done a number of live Q&A sessions that have either been hosted by the venues themselves or by us. The Transcendent team helps us ensure that everything runs smoothly for the participants on the panel and audience members. They’ve also written a technical manual for us. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with four people from their team. Chris (Owner) supervises everything. He’s present whenever we have new projects to schedule and execute and for issues to troubleshoot. We have also been assigned a Transcendent team member who is present during all of our events and whom we completely trust and depend on. There is also back-up personnel, so we are never without a Transcendent expert.

How did you come to work with Transcendent Enterprise?

I found them on Google. I  believe in surrounding myself with the smartest people who have the innate attitude of true partners. Given that criteria, I searched for a local production house that knew about streaming, which has become an entirely new industry with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. I interviewed a number of people, but Chris caught my attention. 

He was fabulous from his manner and knowledge to his ability to understand our struggles. He also treated our money as his own and made every penny count. In my previous experience, other service organizations sometimes tend to take advantage of us. By contrast, Chris and Transcendent didn’t do that. As a result, I hired them.

We’ve spent approximately $10,000, thus far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2020, and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our main baseline has been to facilitate the event without a hitch. In today’s world and internet access, we never know what might happen. We also aren’t always sure what platform is being used by a venue, theater, or school. As a result, the team should be knowledgeable in different platforms, and they should be able to answer questions — these are also our baselines. 

For Transcendent’s performance, they’re impressive in terms of work quality and responsiveness to any issues. Their ability to be a true partner, a team player, and a problem solver isn’t something anyone can have at any time. Overall, they’ve effectively helped us turn live productions into remote ones. We have also gotten stellar reviews of the streaming and Q&A events from our presenters (venues). As a result, I’ve recommended them to other people needing video production services. 

How did Transcendent Enterprise perform from a project management standpoint?

Transcendent always participates in advancing meetings, where we meet remotely with the venue to make sure all technical components are worked out in advance. They’re also present during what we call “technical rehearsals” as another step to work out any problems before the actual events. We aren’t tech-savvy, but their team can talk us through the problems and make the various systems work. They’ve been incredibly personable, and as we are constantly working with new people from different venues, this is a critical element.

To communicate, if we are using the Zoom webinar platform, we can communicate without the audience seeing us. I also have a texting system behind the scenes. During an event, they make sure that everything’s good on my end since I switch back and forth between the audience and the panelists. As such, we’re constantly communicating, whether through the platform, texts, or calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The best part of working with Transcendent is their ability to be a true partner and team player. Everybody is learning in this new world, and Transcendent’s knowledge is fabulous. If any unexpected problems come up, we figure them out. Overall, the problem-solving they do and the attitude in which they do it are special.

No, there aren’t any.

This is all about communication. If you have a question or need to work on the budget, ask to discuss it with Transcendent, and you and Transcendent will figure out a way to make it work.

What challenge were you trying to address with Transcendent Enterprise?

I needed to record and livestream an AI seminar. We tried to use our own internal livestreaming service, but we wanted a more hands-on service that Transcendent Enterprise could provide.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They surveyed the room to ensure we had the right equipment, lighting, and staging to provide the services. For visibility, they made sure we had the best seating layout and gave guidance on where speakers should stand.

They recorded our seminars and livestreamed them so people in different locations and time zones could watch at the same time. They also transcribed the seminars and sent it to us with closed captioning for them as well. 

What is the team composition?

Around 5–6 people on their team worked with us. 

How did you come to work with Transcendent Enterprise?

The CEO of their company is an alumnus of NYU, so he’s worked within the NYU community since he graduated. My director of marketing referred me to use them for this type of work.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $35,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2018–February 2020. We were planning to work every semester but it ended abruptly because of COVID-19.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of their work. Our YouTube platform grew because of their support and they helped us get visibility in the neighboring states. Being able to have a footprint in bringing new livestreaming to campus focusing on AI helps us be at the forefront.

They really helped us build our name in a university setting for AI livestreaming services. We were able to have Nobel Peace Prize winners come and give talks, helping us build a brand that we wouldn’t have been able to replicate.

How did Transcendent Enterprise perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great, especially considering the different research centers and admins involved. They were readily available via email, text, and phone. We were able to talk with different people on their team. Our deadlines were always met — they were always on time or even before we were ready. They were able to manage our expectations, which made it a mutually beneficial relationship. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciated that they walked us through everything so we knew what to do if we were on our own. They showed us how to troubleshoot anything and they were well-versed in doing these events, so everything was a breeze. If we ran into a snafu or technical difficulty, it was handled without an issue.

We’ve grown from the engagement and we were really grateful for the experience. Considering they were alumni of NYU, it was great to keep strengthening the community that way. Their level of expertise was amazing.

The team was able to talk with people who were novices in livestreaming and camera work about how to run the presentations and educating them to do it on their own. We’d work with them again and again; we really liked their service.

No, just keep up the good work. Everything went smoothly and I hope more people get to work with them.

Use them as soon as possible. Especially now, since we’re all going remote, having their support for livestreaming and YouTube will give you a professional edge. Use them to answer any questions you have.

I am the Associate Curator, in charge of exhibitions.

We hired Transcendent Enterprise to create promotional videos about exhibitions at The Africa Center. The videos were shared on our social media channels and website. We hoped to produce visually impressive, engaging videos that would inform our audiences about our exhibitions, and encourage them to visit the Center.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Members of the Transcendent Enterprise team visited the Center on multiple occasions and worked with our team and the artists to film the process of creating the art installations. They also filmed interviews and got some footage from around the neighborhood.

What is the team composition?

We worked with the founder and 3-4 members of his team, in person and via email.

They were recommended through a consultant of ours and had worked on one-off video projects previously.

We have invested about $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with Transcendent Enterprise began in August 2019. They completed the most recent project but we hope to hire them again.

Each video went through an extensive editing process in order to get the desired result. The finished videos attracted plenty of views on our social media channels and we had positive feedback from the artists involved and from our audiences.

The editing process was quite long and needed a lot of input from us. However, theTranscendent team was always accommodating and did everything to make sure we had the result we wanted.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their fast responses to questions, their positive attitude, and their friendliness impressed us.

Occasionally they arrived on site a little late, but in general they were always very flexible and could often come at short notice.

They worked with us on several video production projects. More specifically, they’ve done live production, set production, and event production. 

They recently helped us with social media activation for a campaign. This included setting up live streams for Facebook and Instagram. They also did daily cut downs of the live streams and event videography.

Chris (Owner) is our primary point of contact, and he facilitates the projects. We’ve also worked with two camera operators and a backend support person.

For the first project we did together, I was cold calling a bunch of production companies in New York. I liked Chris and felt that we hit it off. He had access to all the equipment that we needed for the first shoot and was well-prepared to take on the project. After the first project, they became one of our go-to video production companies.

We worked on our first project together in 2016. Our most recent project took place over the course of a week in September 2019.

I love working with them. They care deeply about getting things right and pay close attention to detail. I got great feedback from my employees and from our client. We had thousands of views on our lives across different channels. They wowed everyone that worked on the project.

Chris is forthcoming and open. It’s easy for me to text or call him whenever I need to talk. We had a lot of meetings prior to the social media activation project to make sure we were prepared and could track deliverables throughout the week. 

They’ve also been able to work independently without my direct oversight when I haven’t been in New York for the full duration of filming.

Their willingness and tenacity are impressive. Regardless of what kind of project we bring to them, they always approach their work with passion and drive. They’re willing to do whatever it takes, and they continually try to expand their scope of work.

No, not really. Their team has grown, and sometimes I miss the old, familiar faces, but I can’t fault them for expanding their company.

SBS is an economic development agency that takes a 3 pronged approach: helping NYers attain quality jobs, assisting small business owners to succeed and thrive, and developing opportunities for communities/neighborhoods. I was the Senior Project Manager of Capacity Building at the time of the project.

For what projects/services did your company hire Transcendent Enterprise?

We hired Transcendent to develop a video that told the story of the Neighborhood 360 Fellows program from different perspectives, the host organization and the fellows.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal was to provide prospective Fellows and host sites, along with the general public with a better understanding of the program and what it offered.

How did you select this vendor?

This selection was done through an RFP process.

We developed 3 videos in total but attained a lot of content for future use. Transcendent was extremely professional in their scheduling nd helping to provide creative direction. We conducted over 6 interviews, which included the Commissioner of the agency and attain footage of the Fellows during events.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

There was consistent communication throughout the whole process. And the team was willing to tweak the videos until they met our satisfaction and purpose. The team is extremely talented.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The videos were used for social media and promotions of the program. The quality and the story that was conveyed resulted in more people being curious about the program. Although the videos were developed a few years ago between the first and second cohort they are still relevant and relatable.

It was very effective. I was introduced and put in direct contact with both the filming crew and the video editors to make sure that the videos came out the way I wanted

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of the videos and how prepared they were was most impressive. Although only 3 promo videos were taken, we attained lots of video content from different neighborhoods.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The communication when we first started needed to be improved. Communication was largely being conducted via email and a few things were being lost. However, this was something that was worked on and improved before the end of the project and a project manager was brought onboard.

We hired them to help produce two training videos that we wanted to recreate. We needed an internal and external version of our general compliance video and a HIPAA video.

They produced four videos in total. We provided the script, but they had some input as well. Our team is experts on compliance, but they helped translate our writing into video-friendly language. They did the filming and all of the post-production work.

I’d worked with Transcendent Enterprise before. I had good experiences with them in the past, so I recommended them to our CEO who had the final say in who we hired.

We did most of the production work in 2019, but we’d been in discussions with them about the project since 2017. We had to put it on hold originally because of budget constraints.

What makes them stand out is their responsiveness. They were patient, thorough, and always got back to us quickly.

No, they were very understanding. Even when our team took more time to review things, they still stuck to our deadlines.
