What challenge were you trying to address with Transcendent Enterprise?

My primary goal was to shoot a video that would showcase wellness and healthy living through running as well as through my involvement with Adidas runners. Specifically, I wanted to capture the experience of running through New York City.

Transcendent Enterprise handled all aspects of production, including directing, shooting, special effects, and editing.

We shot on multiple locations and the team was able to efficiently transport equipment from one site to the next.

I’d come across some of the work Transcendent Enterprise had produced for their other clients and was impressed. We had an initial consultation, and I felt confident that they would be able to deliver in terms of my goals.

How much have you invested with them?

The video cost just under $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from August-October 2019, though I have plans to engage with them on future projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

During the post-production phase, though I didn’t have a specific deadline for the finished materials, I never felt like Transcendent Enterprise dragged out the editing process. The project was completed much sooner than I expected.

After I saw the final product, I really felt like the team had captured my vision of showcasing the peace and mindfulness that running brings. Transcendent Enterprise was able to record everything I needed in a short time without compromising on quality.

How did Transcendent Enterprise perform from a project management standpoint?

I was never exposed to their communication about my project on the backend, which I appreciated because it allowed me to focus on my own process. 

However, Transcendent Enterprise was very prepared on the day of the shoot. The team had backup locations in the event of construction or other obstacles to filming, so it was clear they planned thoroughly for the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Transcendent Enterprise is a small team with a huge impact. Chris and his staff are very knowledgeable, and it was a pleasure to see them work together and engage one another on creative decisions. Everyone on the team is respectful of others’ feedback and opinions, and they even engaged me when suggesting different approaches.

Chris himself is very receptive to the talent on his team and is hands-on in a way that isn’t typical of most business owners.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. Everything Transcendent Enterprise did was in line with my expectations.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what you want and lay down a creative foundation at the beginning so you can help the team see your vision. Also, be flexible and allow them to have input and make suggestions because they absolutely know what they’re doing.

To produce a video that tells the story of my running journey.

What were your goals for this project?

I did not have specific goals for this project. I was interested in telling my story as I thought it might help other people get started. I was not clear on which direction I wanted to take it.

Transcendent Enterprise came highly recommended. I met with Chris Alvarez and his team to discuss the project and I felt confident that they could create something special for me. Even though I wasn’t very clear about what I wanted.

Once we decided to work together. The Transcendent team took some time to get to know me. They scouted a few locations based on where I would regularly run and train and where I lived. We spent about five hours shooting various action footage and interview footage. I followed my instructions as the subject and trusted the production team.

After about a week I was sent a video to review and give feedback on. After I gave my feedback I received the completed video in a couple of days. I was totally blown away with what Chris Alvarez and his team at Transcendent Enterprise created for me using my vague ideas as a blueprint. The video is currently posted on my social media channels and could also be used for any number of purposes both personal and professional.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They were very responsive and worked around my busy schedule. The turnaround time was very fast after the Video shooting was complete.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The video turned out to be an incredibly motivating piece. It has been shared and viewed widely on social media channels. I have receive outstanding positive feedback about the video’s quality and the message it is sending to the viewers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Chris Alvarez and his team worked very well with me. The communication was always open and honest. Any questions or concerns I had during the process were addressed clearly so that I understood what was going on and what the next step would be. They stayed on schedule with both the shooting schedule and the production schedule of the video.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was really amazed at what they were able to produce given my vague ideas of what I wanted the finished product to be. They really thought of every tiny detail during shooting and editing. The finished product is so much better than I could have ever imagined.

No. My project went well from start to finish.

I’m the owner of two natural hair salons, Express and JHB Studios.

We wanted some marketing material produced for the salons.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first worked with Transcendent Enterprise on a commercial, and they handled all pre- and post-production services. The team found multiple models for us to select from, prepared the script, and supplied all necessary camera and lighting equipment. After filming, they were able to deliver the final edited video within a week.

The team has also helped us out with some promotional videos at a couple of festivals, including one of the largest natural hair festivals in the country. Currently, they’re assisting us with content for our YouTube channel.

What is the team composition?

I work with about six or seven people in total. The production assistant is our main point of contact, and we’ve worked with several cameramen as well. Chris (Owner, Transcendent Enterprise) has provided a lot of creative direction and was onsite on the day we shot the commercial.

Transcendent Enterprise was recommended to me by a friend who had partnered with them before. Also, we appreciated that their office was near ours.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $30,000-$35,000 so far. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We first hired them for the commercial in April 2019, but we’ve continued to work with them on new projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

There have been times when we’ve wanted to make comprehensive changes, and the team has been flexible and receptive to them. They’ve always been upfront when additional costs come up, and the pace they work at is very unique.

Often, businesses work with video production companies who take months to edit the material, so that by the time it’s returned they don’t even care what it looks like. Transcendent Enterprise’s team excels in delivering terrific work quickly.

How did Transcendent Enterprise perform from a project management standpoint?

They always meet deadlines and are clear communicators. Whenever we want to make a change, they’re very honest about how it might affect the cost. Often, other video production firms will wait until after those changes have been made to inform you of added expenses or will refuse to make the changes at all. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

When it comes to video production, quality is paramount. Transcendent Enterprise produces excellent work, but the speed with which they can turn the material around is what’s most impressive about them.

There’s nothing that comes to mind.

Be flexible with their ideas. Chris has a lot of experience and his suggestions always come from a place of knowledge. He knows what looks good on camera and what’s feasible with respect to timeline and budget.

We hired Transcendent Enterprise to live stream and record an event our company was hosting in New Jersey. Our goal was to broadcast it across the US and to our partners overseas.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for several video production teams in the area, specifically ones offering live stream services. We ultimately hired Transcendent Enterprise because of their professionalism and experience.

We started with a meeting to describe the goals of our event and a breakdown of what would happen during the day. After coming up with the plan and schedule we discussed the setting of our space, the cameras and crew. Our event was held outdoors initially then transitioned indoors. The live stream went seamlessly, and all the footage was transferred to us in a timely manner after the event.

We worked directly with the CEO of the Company Chris both during our first meeting and throughout the planning process. He was very involved in all the steps of our live stream planning. The Transcendent team was present and prepared for any changes. At one point the Wifi at our venue was less than reliable, they quickly found a solution to this and everything proceeded as planned.

We were able to globally promote an educational allied health career event with viewers across the US and globally in South East Asia and the Caribbean the live stream event Transcendent Enterprise was able to set up. The event was a success and all of our viewers were impressed with how clear the sound and video quality was even overseas.

The project manager was very well organized, they were prepared with different solutions to possible interferences that may occur on the day of our live streaming event. We mostly communicated via email, but they were available to hop on a call whenever something needed a more detailed conversation.

They were very professional and punctual. They took the time to understand my vision of the event and what I wanted highlighted. The crew was friendly and worked hard through out the day.

I think they overall did very well with live streaming and recording my companies event. I definitely will be using their services again in the future!
