Pritesh was hired for delivering automated testing for the MusicStation application used as SaaS and PaaS. The clients involved were Sony, SiriusXM, Guverra and Blackberry.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The technical ability to provide automated testing and going beyond in ensuring that a quality product will be delivered played an important role.

Pritesh was involved in the testing /Automation of the MusicSation framework. He was involved in writing Test and executing the test plan.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

He was the only resource involved.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

He was innovative in creating ways to ease the reports and finding ways by which the skipped test cases were known to the team. Also, involved in creating test cases for clients such as Blackberry, SirusXm and Sony which were executed on a daily basis and on every release for the platform.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Pritesh was an individual contributor and had active discussions with the BAs and Managers (amongst other stakeholders) of the team. He was proactive in taking and completing the task and readily available to offer his services at all times.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were proactive and dedicated to the quality delivery of work. They also achieved deadlines well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Had a good experience working with Pritesh and would work him again when needed. Highly recommended.

Development of Java software integrating IoT devices with the cloud running on a single board compute platform (Hub) situated in the home.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

An interview process was carried out where the vendor was selected

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The project was a re-development of the company's legacy Embedded C-based hub software with a new Java-based platform. This required developing an extensible SDK so that third parties could integrate IoT devices with the companies platform. As well as integrating physical devices, the software also supported the concept of synthetic devices.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A single resource working as a senior software developer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The software was a key component which enabled the sale of the company for $100 million in 2015. As of May 2018, the software was used in the homes of over 1 million customers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Members of the team were embedded within our own development team and provided seamless support for the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were hardworking and dedicated to the project and producing a quality scalable product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Test automation initially caused the build pipeline to become unreliable. This was later refactored with the results being much improved.
