We work with about three people from their team. One is a director who’s involved with the sales process, one is a developer, and the other is a marketing specialist.

They worked on a previous project for our parent company.

We’ve invested around £27,000 (approximately $37,700 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2021, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve got access to a report where we track the success of our campaigns. We’ve only spent a few months working together and they’ve been doing really well.

How did Throttl perform from a project management standpoint?

Throttl completes projects before their deadlines and if we needed to get a hold of them, we have a WhatsApp group where we can communicate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Other than potential pricing improvements, there’s nothing else they can improve on. Their service is spot on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice to potential customers is to give Throttl as much information about the business as possible, so they can quickly and effectively plan for the project. Cooperate with them and give them the necessary information about your business and goals.

I’m the director of Fulham Timber, a builder and timber merchant. We buy wholesale materials in bulk and sell them to builders and contractors, who use them in a variety of their building projects.

What challenge were you trying to address with Throttl?

First, we needed help from Throttl to work on our branding. Then, we wanted an easy-to-use website to nail with our fresh modern brand. A lot of our customer base was e-commerce-savvy, but others were regular builders who didn’t use the website too much. We needed Throttl to make us a more modern website that was easier for all our customers to have access to it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Throttl started with our branding. They worked through the design with us, from concept to logo design, all the way through to completion. That lifted the company image from 20 years ago to today. Then, they developed the website and took care of BigCommerce, our e-commerce site, working on its full functionality. 

They also did a bit of work with Google Ads, and they managed our PPC from time to time. Whenever we put money towards PPC, we used them.

What is the team composition?

I worked with one of their members.

How did you come to work with Throttl?

I think it was a recommendation originally.

How much have you invested in them?

In total, it was £15,000 (approximately $20,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on the branding in January 2019. The website was completed in January 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The only metric that we use is the feedback through the orders that we get from the website. We’ve sold far more now online than we’ve ever had, and that’s what we go by.

How did Throttl perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked with them one-on-one doing this project. It was almost as if we were working full-time on this. The project management wasn’t on and off; it was a constant thing. We used email, telephone calls, and even the odd WhatsApp message for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s very easy for them to communicate and understand ideas. I think it’s also their method and way of dealing with you. Throttl gets involved with your business. They become part of the service you provide, and they understand it, which makes it easier because you don’t have to spend all day explaining something to them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t say there’s anything they need to improve on. We are very happy with them and what they do, so we will continue using them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As with anyone else, I would say to spend the time to fully explain what you are trying to achieve at the beginning of your project. They’re happy to put in a time investment and spend it trying to understand the project’s ideas right from the early stages. I believe this is what gives you the confidence that it’s going to work out.

To someone who is going to talk to them, I’d say not to be afraid to invest a little bit of time yourself. Let them understand what the challenge is, and then they can come back to you with good results.

The team designed and developed the WordPress website from scratch. They also added a contact form.

My main point of contact was Mark (Director).

I met Mark a few years ago through friends. I didn’t know a lot of people that worked in the web development industry.

We’ve invested between £3,000–£4,000 (approximately $4,000–$5,500 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2019–February 2020. If something needs to be changed, I can reach out to them.

Everything was perfect. It went all to plan. The website was delivered on time.

How did Throttl perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated through email and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is practical. They respond in a timely manner, usually within an hour or two. They’re attentive and helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. We wanted a simple website, so there were no issues. I can’t suggest anything to be changed.

When you work with them, it’s very straightforward.
