I’m the founder of Queen’s Bridge Financial Strategies.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Thornton Group?

We needed help in building our company from the ground up and not being distracted in multiple ways.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Thornton Group’s Neil (President) is a very robust business coach, and he helped us design a blueprint of key factors that we have to reach to keep our company moving in the right direction. He gave us guidelines on how to be focused as we build our company. We started from nothing, and he provided research and discovery. We conducted project management planning and laid out deliverables and targets. 

What is the team composition?

I only work with Neil.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2020, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The Thornton Group’s impact on our company has been huge. They have us ramped up in less than a quarter and focused on what we’re doing. 

Any business that’s starting out has too many challenges and hats to wear. Because of Neil, we became focused and started using a project management software he recommended. We have been accountable to the goals and markers that we set out. Most importantly, he made us a great amount of money. The business that he has driven us is 10 times of what we’re paying him.

Neil has been able to get us all working as one team instead of individuals. He listens to us and gives us feedback. He challenges us to think out of the box and drives us forward. We have started getting traction since we availed his services. 

How did The Thornton Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They are fantastic at project management. They keep coming up with ideas that we couldn’t think about — they think outside of the box and get our thinking hats on. 

We do a Zoom call once a week. Neil talks with us individually and as a group.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Neil is great to talk with, he listens well, and he’s very positive — he’s just fantastic with what he’s doing. He’s a true visionary, and he helps get the best out of everyone. I haven’t yet found anyone else that can do what he does. He helps brainstorm and do everything outside of the box, and he brings everybody together. He delivers beyond expectations.

Neil is great at building work culture. I watched him build other companies’ cultures from the ground up, and I wanted to mimic that for our team. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a conversation with their team. You’ll quickly learn if they can deliver on anything or if they’re a fit. Neil doesn’t like wasting time — he’s very thorough and knowledgeable about multiple industries. He has a unique perspective. Lastly, he’s real; he works hard and delivers. Many of the successful companies in our area actually deal with him.
