For what projects/services did your company hire TheDesignThinkers®, and what were your goals?

We need help to rebrand in line with our messaging and update our website and social media to establish an approachable and trustworthy image and digital marketing plan for fundraising

How did you select this vendor?

After receiving a quote and suggestions for the project from our current marketing agency the quote was expensive and we were not convinced they had the brief right. We reached out to Nicola at the TheDesignThinkers who was able to clearly articulate the marketing jargon which helped us to put into perspective the priorities for the brief. Nicola was an attentive listener who could efficiently adapt our words into brand concepts.

They held interviews with our CEO and Marketing Director to understand the charity purpose, values and message from which they created an entire brand package including logo, taglines and marketing material. Their team made changes to our website copy.

They helped establish an online fundraising campaign with complete digital marketing strategy. We continue to work with TheDesignThinkers on retail products and marketing/fundraising strategies.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The new branding completes the vision we had for the charity and we have had a lot of complimentary feedback. Website traffic and social media engagement has increased as well as an increase in donations. Our product is now stocked in 6 retail stores for the first time. We are extremely happy with the results that are being achieved.

Regular communication was conducted via zoom and email with constant updates. All work was completed to expected timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

TheDesignThinkers showed a commitment to learn about our charity with compassion, diplomacy and patience. They have amazing copywriter skills which was a must for us to get our message out to society. Nicola is a creative genius!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't thank Nicola and India enough for the assistance in turning our charity around.

I'm the CMO of WithYouWithMe. WithYouWithMe is a global social impact company that helps organisations solve their digital skills challenges by supporting under-represented individuals into high-demand tech roles.

Our business is growing globally and we needed a revitalised brand strategy to help us gain the rapid and widespread traction we are chasing in the market.

TheDesignThinkers were engaged to undertake a review of our business to deliver a brand strategy, brand creative, proposition, experience-led prioritisation of interactions and then implementation of key collateral, that would deliver on our strategic objectives.

The first stage was a cross-business review with C-Suite and operational leads to understand our competitive context, what makes us unique, how that would support our objectives, and the benefit for our supply and demand audiences. This phase concluded with an insights and implications presentation that informed the program and determined the need to own a new category.

They then articulated the brand strategy and proposition which informed the creative phase. We went though a concept phase to finalise the brand design. We then conducted a cross-business journey mapping exercise to determine how our proposition could best be delivered for audiences, and the opportunities to fast track our brand experience. This determined the key items of collateral which The Design Thinkers wrote and designed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This process has helped us to articulate our key benefit and messages to explain ourselves better and faster. It has also shown us the importance of centralising marketing and communications in order to drive consistency, and streamlined and standardised our sales process with more effective templates. These three outcomes alone will drastically reduce the amount of resources we were spending on communicating with both supply and demand audiences. In turn will allow us to create more impact faster, as we expand to new markets.

The access we had to The Design Thinker Founder was invaluable, and she stayed deeply connected throughout the process. This allowed us to move faster, and maintain executive engagement. She acted as an advisor as much as a provider. Even during implementation, the partnership was close and we formed a blended implementation team, for effective knowledge transfer and upskilling of our internal team members.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their creative vision, design work, and ability to walk us through the end-to-end process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The Design Thinkers were receptive to all our feedback throughout the process - there are no other recommendations I have.
