Testmatick serves as our dedicated quality assurance partner. Their team handles the development, execution, and maintenance of validation tests for our web application. They bring a proprietary toolset that they use to create and manage our testing environment.

As part of our continuous integration process, every new build generates a deployment bundle. Testmatick's system automatically detects this and initiates a suite of tests across various scenarios on our staging environment. They also assist in defining and expanding our test matrices using their platform, ensuring the app meets specifications, remains responsive, and delivers consistent functionality—with minimal effort on our part.

If any test fails, they promptly alert us and assist in diagnosing the issue. They determine whether it’s a regression or a change that needs validation, and they collaborate with us to develop new tests for evolving user flows or application components.

We use Testmatick’s services for our product development needs. They test and check all features we launch inside our products on our platform. We’ve provided them with our onboarding flows and informed them on how we set up our environments. We have a ticketing system and onboard resources from Testmatick by giving them all the necessary technical files, explanations, and texts. 

We’ve also guided their resources on how our platform works, what its new features are, and how it should work on mobile devices. From there, they test individual features, steps, and flows. They then confirm our reports and search for issues on the website so our development team can address them and optimize our product.

We’ve worked with 1–3 teammates from Testmatick, including Yaroslav (Former QA Engineer) and Nazar (Manual QA Engineer).

I did some research and talked to some companies. In the end, I found Testmatick and decided to engage them.

We started our engagement with Testmatick in January 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our team hasn’t found many bugs, and our product works smoothly.

How did Testmatick perform from a project management standpoint?

Testmatick delivers tasks on time and within budget. We pay them for a fixed amount of time per week, and they spend it on testing. We’ve had no issues in this aspect. For tools, they use Jira and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Without Testmatick’s work, we wouldn’t exist — while that’s a heavy statement, their work is vital for our platform. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. They could provide more than one QA manager or a dashboard for reports, but we’re not a big team. As a result, everything’s good so far, and we’ve got nothing to change. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Your partnership with Testmatick will depend on your journey. If you’re a startup and have a product market fit and a couple of developers, maybe it’s too early to engage the team. However, if you have more than 4–6 people, it’s important to have a good QA process integrated into your workflow and CI/CD process. If you’re that kind of company, I recommend working with Testmatick. Their QA process makes total sense.

We were developing a set of web and mobile applications for our client in Canada, and while preparing for a release, we decided to hire a QA specialist to help us test the applications.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched on Clutch and picked several companies that fit the job. Among the other companies, Testmatick was the most flexible in terms of work approach (we needed only one QA engineer with an immediate start), and their rate card fit our budget requirements.

The QA specialist helped us test the most crucial parts of the project after we completely redesigned the system. We needed someone with a fresh pair of eyes to test our web application and mobile apps and ensure that the product complied with the design and that all the functionality worked as expected.

We needed one QA specialist and decided to go with Middle Tester II (3-4) position from their rate card. As a result, their QA specialist has been working as a single team with us for three months full-time.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The QA Nataliia, with whom we worked the whole time, has perfectly done her job. She communicated directly with our team, including the Engineering Lead and developers, and created a testing process that simplified the whole team's work. As a result, we released the application as planned and avoided many bugs in production.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

From the QA side, the work was great because we involved her in our internal processes, chats, and task trackers that allowed us to be synchronized daily. Nataliia was very proactive and brought up questions to discuss with the dev team.

We communicated with the COO and Business Operations Director when negotiating the start of collaboration and operational questions. They prepared documents and assigned a QA specialist impressively fast. We interacted with the Accountant from their side too, and we were constantly receiving fast replies to any payment-related questions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They offered good quality service at a reasonable price and were flexible about our needs throughout the project. They don't overcomplicate things, making collaborating with them really easy. The QA engineer Nataliia was constantly listening to our feedback and comments about the specifics of our product and seamlessly onboarded into our project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

From my side, I had only positive feedback about the collaboration with TestMatick.

For each project, Testmatick QA engineer worked as part of the Agile team. QA engineers took responsibility to qualify QA tools to use together with JIRA, setup QA process with the team, build testing scenarios and plan with the Product Owner, run the different test cases, report bug during the sprint, and work wit the team to get bug prioritised and solved.

We had 2 manual tester and 1 automation testers working on 3 project at different point of time.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Testmatick help us to build continuous process to build test scenario sprint by sprint and report bug to be fixed. This give us the ability to be lean and adapt our testing need and strategy according to project prioritisation change. We learn and experiment on different QA testing tools to find which one would better suit different project

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were on sprint basis most of the time so the team had to build test case and execute them continuously. Even when the development team were delivering some feature late during the sprint, QA testers would still to their best to test case tested on time. Reporting and process were though JIRA and different QA plugins. Communication were direct between the QA and the PO and software engineers with the team through Slack or conf call as needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We are impressed with their ability to respond fast and adapt to our project needs. The mindset of build collaboration and partnership on long term during our exchanges. The integration of the QA engineers to be part of our team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Overall we had a great experience working with Testmatick team and their QA engineers. The only point we could have done better for one project is we didn't achieve we needed for automation testing, but it was also due to project context

To be able to run the load tests on our own servers whenever we want to or need to and after every change that might have an impact on performance.

The project was creating load tests for our websites. It included writing the actual test, making sure we can configure the url, number of concurrent users and other needed configuration.

They also needed to install the load tests on a given server in google cloud and make sure we can run it on our own. We provided the instructions and the test case by emails.

I have no idea if they involved anyone from the team, we spoke with the COO and another team leader.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our experience was successful - we ran the test successfully and the best thing is I can run it again whenever I wish to check the websites.

We had someone from my team in charge on explaining everything and making sure it is happening. We mostly communicated by emails & zoom meetings.

They have everything from QA testing to load testing to automation testing. They are very responsive.

Sometimes it's better to write everything down in an email/doc to make sure everyone understood their task after a skype/zoom call.

The team at Testmatick is my personal choice for QA work. We’ve had a great experience with the company and are working with them regularly. What I like about Testmatick is how responsive and reliable they are.

I greatly appreciate their project management style. I can message them at any time, and they have a great response rate, which means a lot to us. Testmatick has one of the best budget solutions for QA that I’ve experienced on the market.

I’m impressed with their willingness to cooperate. Our client initially wanted them for three months, but they ended up needing to cut it to a month and a half. I went back to Testmatick, and they didn’t even try to change the pricing. They’re willing to engage in long-term collaborations, rather than get easy and fast money.
