We had a very large and highly customized application pool.  The 9 supported products had been developed over 30 years as Windows applications, tied to a SQL data base.  As we moved forward, a variety of changes had been made to the applications such as making them mult-user, hosting them on centralized servers using RDP, and moving from single Acccess databases per hotel to multi-tennant SQL database.  All of which resulted in not only a large amount of code, but a lot of patchwork that caused several areas of inefficiency.  

Telliant was engaged to be the primary coding resource for redeveloping the applications as Web Based Applications.  Their initial roll was simply converting VB6 code to C# replicating our functioinality needs.  After completing the initial phase, we came to use them also in adivsing us on methodology and database design issues to create more efficiency, debugging existing process that they had not written, and working with us on improving our UX and UI.  

They delivered to us:

Code for importing data from other systems and saving into our table structure, through both API's and individual files.

They developed complete applicatons for use in hotel daily back office accounting functions.

They created comoplex analytical dashboards of key financial, payroll, and other data under our design and direction.

They also provided a number of new analytical reports based on our database,

The delivery of working functionality that allowd our clients to continue using the system, with minimal interuption, as we swapped out Windows applications for Web based application.

We can be a little difficult to deal with at times, as we request a lot of changes over time.  Telliant's team not only navogated an ever changing specification, but still managed to hit key deadlines.  When their was confusion or misunderstandings, they were resolved quickly.  We especially appreciated their willingness to look at what we were trying to do and suggest better ways to accomplish the goals.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Having worked with several contractors over the year, I would say that the thing most impress me is the availability and care they provided in all of our dealings.  They were available to us whenever we needed including the middle of the night or early mornings.  I don't recall them ever needing help and having to hunt someone down.  The team absolutely felt like an extension of our company, and treated us as if we were the priority.

The scope of work for the development of the full end-to-end practice management system for the dental industry included the following key components:

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for the practice management system.
• Conducting a thorough analysis to understand the specific needs of dental practices, including patient management, appointment scheduling, billing, and reporting.

2. System Architecture Design:

• Designing a scalable and secure system architecture that meets the needs of dental practices of various sizes.
• Selecting appropriate technologies and frameworks to ensure the system is robust, user-friendly, and easily maintainable.

3. Front-End Development:

• Developing an intuitive and responsive user interface for both desktop and mobile platforms.
