I’m the executive director of IT at NotalVision which is a medical devices company.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechFerry?

We needed to hire offshore developers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed a server-side application as well as a web portal, and two mobile applications.

How did you come to work with TechFerry?

Our CIO knew them from previous jobs. When he started working at Notal, he suggested that we work with them. We evaluated their work and decided to hire them.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent about $800,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2017, and we’re still working with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality has been very good.

How did TechFerry perform from a project management standpoint?

I would say they performed as expected. We had milestones during the project, and we had daily calls with them. We tracked the progress very closely, and they were pretty much on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think the view of the developers to actually commit to the project even though they are contractors working for a different company that we hired. They were really passionate about what we do and there were many times when they worked during the weekend. It was quite impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, it was great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Define exactly what you need prior to starting the project. Many times with offshore companies, the most important part of the project is to design the scope and the exact requirements.
