I am the owner and regional director of The Joint Chiropractic, a chiropractic care franchise.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with TB Media Group?

Since our clinic is in a new location and market, we wanted to increase our brand awareness, establish thought leadership, and provide education for the community to build start building relationships.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TB Media Group produced a series of videos for us. At the start of the project, they held various meetings to get to know us and our staff, goals, and vision. They took the time to learn about the franchise, its strict protocols, and our healthcare industry segment. Then, they presented us with options to move forward. 

They managed the scriptwriting, editing, and location-scouting processes. They provided their own equipment and crew; all we supplied were the patients and staff to feature in the videos. Our clinic was the primary shoot location — the live action scenes took place there. During the editing process, they incorporated our logo and worked within our brand requirements.

The videos included Q&As with our doctor, patient interviews, and an example of what it’s like to visit a chiropractor for the first time that featured Tamika (Founder, CEO & Content Strategist). 

What is the team composition?

I worked with 3–4 members of their team — mainly Tamika — during pre- and postproduction. I was not at the video shoot in person, so there may have been additional crew members. My business partner and staff interacted with more people than I did.

How did you come to work with TB Media Group?

I found them through LinkedIn. One of my business partners appeared on a podcast Tamika hosted; we appreciated her professionalism and attention to detail. We reached out to her ahead of opening the clinic.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $9,000–$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from June–July 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We expect the videos to be very successful but we haven’t released a lot of the content yet because it’s geared toward our opening.  At this point, we’ve only released 1–2 videos of the video library we’ve built up.

However, although I don’t have the exact numbers in front of me, we saw high click-through rates (CTR) and increased views and website visits because of the two videos we released; TB Media Group reported the same. Those videos were posted on our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn profiles, as well as on TB Media Group’s social media. The videos were high quality, and it was obvious that TB Media Group took pride in their work. 

How did TB Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?

The project was finished earlier than anticipated and within budget. TB Media Group was a pleasure to work with, so I had zero complaints; they were one of the best vendors we’ve worked with. 

Tamika had an awesome team that exceeded my expectations; they were a small local company and did an excellent job. They were professional when it came to requested changes or issues that arose. At times my team was holding up the project because we weren’t getting back to them as quickly as we could have; TB Media Group was always responsive and on top of everything. 

We used a video meeting platform, and Tamika was very accessible via email and phone. She gave us her direct phone number, and we reached out to her with any problems.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our expectations were low before we started the project because of past experiences and their team size, but Tamika had an awesome team that was very responsive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing to improve. I wish TB Media Group had shown up on our radar earlier; I would’ve definitely hired them a couple of years ago had I known about them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

TB Media Group is worth every penny — I’m already referring other franchises to them. I’ve even recommended TB Media Group to our national headquarters because I believe they can grow our brand nationally.

I am the owner of the Fair Claims Firm. We provide assistance for property owners who is insurance company have failed to pay a fair amount for their Covered losses as a result of flooding, storm, theft or firex

For what projects/services did your company hire TB Media Group, and what were your goals?

We sought out TB Media Group to assist us with storytelling telling. They helped us develop a message about our product specifically to the Chamber of Commerce but more widely on social media.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Tamika and I both work in the Chamber of Commerce on the diversity and inclusion working group. I was excited about the opportunity to work with her on a project. So when this opportunity arose I sought her out.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

To make it begin with the series of phone calls to get an idea of the scope of the project our business and the message we wanted to send. There followed a time where we sort out speakers to help us tell our story. Then the day of production involved shoots in multiple locations and interviews with those clients and experts who are assisting us.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We work directly with Tamika. She and her staff were thoughtful and attentive through the entire process. It was valuable to have professionals with such a depth of knowledge.

As a result of the project we have successfully branded within the Chamber of Commerce.

I was impressed with their strong understanding of my target audience and was able to help me use our resources effectively in bringing our message to Video.

I’m the director of athletics at the University of the Virgin Islands.

What challenge were you trying to address with TB Media Group?

We were trying to address marketing needs for an intercollegiate basketball tournament for our university’s homecoming.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The scope of the project ranges from social media marketing, podcasts, and livestreams. They’re also trying to promote us through other websites, including LinkedIn. Social media platforms include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

They’ve also created a range of templates for us, including for emails, social media posts, and branding. Finally, they’ve developed content that we use for digital streams.

What is the team composition?

I worked with the head of the corporation and a team of about eight people, including editors, designers, marketing specialists, and graphic design resources. There was also a point person that we could contact who would put us in touch with other rescources.

How did you come to work with TB Media Group?

I looked at their services on LinkedIn and set up a Zoom call to discuss what they could do. Before we signed, they provided us with a strategic plan of how they would attack the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $30,000 so far, but the value we’ve received feels like $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–December 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

When they took over our social media posting, we saw an increase in engagement of 500%. It was unbelievable. Regarding the tournament, we went from being the most-talked-about event in the Virgin Islands to the most talked-about event in the Caribbean. Word of it even spread to South Florida and the Southeast United States. It was big and dynamic and gave us the ability to promote the vent for a second time.

How did TB Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They met the deadlines ahead of time and were great at problem-solving with us, including providing certain add-ons that they didn’t charge us for. They were very understanding.

We had weekly recaps on Mondays where we would go over all the accomplishments of the previous week and discuss what they would be working on in the coming week.

They used a couple of project management tools but I can’t remember their names. They had calendar functions, and all changes were populated through. The engagement was structurally sound. We communicated through phone calls and email mostly, as well as through that management platform. They were always accessible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand exactly what we want, and it isn’t similar to what our competitors do. TB was never handcuffed by any of the duties that we requested of them, even the last-minute ones that weren’t in the main description of what we asked them to do.

For example, we had an issue with printing and needed pamphlets and booklets made. A local vendor here in the Virgin Islands couldn’t meet the date, and TB connected us with a vendor in Miami who got the job done in two days and had an overnight shift. This allowed us to have brochures at the door on the first day of our event rather than two days later. It was amazing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Normally I would have something to say, but they don’t need to do anything better. TB has set the bar for us, and we’re hoping that we can use them again soon, depending on their schedule.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’ll work with you to understand your budget, getting you what you want while also being realistic and thinking of other ways you can be successful. Trust their process because you’re in good hands. They’ll blow you away with how they take care of you.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

When I meet or see people in person, almost always someone brings up that they like my posts and ideas I share there. The email open rate has been pretty steady and pretty high!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The work flow has been effective, I like the regularity of scheduling and how they make it easy for me to know what I need to share, by when.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Storytelling and strategy - they have been helping me to better understand my business goals and our strategy is shifting as I shift my business model and story.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I'm loving the work and quality and sometimes wonder if moving images should be more a part of what we produce together.
