I’m the head of marketing and communications at NGRAVE, a digital asset security company that offers user-friendly, maximum-security solutions for blockchain and cryptocurrency use cases. We have a hardware cryptocurrency wallet that we sell B2C.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with take it_?

We needed help with CMS, e-commerce integration, and website development so that we could have a place to showcase and sell our products.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

take it_ helped us develop our website and integrate our e-commerce store. When they joined, we had a very basic and unstructured website, so they developed a new one completely from scratch. Now that we have an internal design team, so we provide the designs on which they give feedback, and they translated them into a functional website. Throughout the process, we collaborated closely with them to do the full setup.

As for the technology stack, we used Storyblok for the CMS, Nuxt for the frontend, and a Shopify integration for the e-commerce capabilities. take it_ built the UI/UX of the site on Storyblok CMS on the first iteration before custom-building it on Nuxt. Now, they help us with ongoing maintenance, improvements and updates.

We work with three people from take it_: an animation specialist, a lead developer, and a website frontend designer.

How did you come to work with take it_?

We found them through a referral; one of our colleagues worked with them in his previous job in another company.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than €100,000 (approximately $97,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started the engagement in September 2021, and it is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to take it_, we went from having nothing to having a great website that represents our brand, as well as a customer-oriented store.

How did take it_ perform from a project management standpoint?

take it_ is meeting our deadlines and staying on budget. Throughout the process, they’ve come up with very creative ideas, which initially were hard for us to take in, but they’ve been very open to feedback. We’ve established a great workflow where our designers propose improvements or changes for the UI, and take it_ quickly implements and develops those features. The maintenance is also working really well now that they know the brand. We use Slack for day-to-day communication and Trello for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

take it_’s flexibility and speed are impressive, and they’re capable of working with limited briefings.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Any advice for potential customers?

Come with a clear idea of the needs for your website and where you want it to be in a few years so that they can take into account its scalability.

We needed support to build a web application for a client. We didn’t have time for the project, so we wanted to outsource it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

take it_ developed a Vue.js web app for us from scratch. To jumpstart the project, we provided them with wireframes, the design, and the functionalities we needed.

The product is a configurator implemented on our client’s site;  people can use that tool to go through different steps to choose the type of service they need. After finishing, the platform creates a lead so our client can contact that potential customer.

How did you come to work with take it_?

We chose them because they seemed reliable and professional.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent around €25,000 (approximately $28,000 USD) with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together through December 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They streamlined our client’s communication between them and their customers; 80% of their site’s users have been utilizing the new system, and they like it. Overall, the project was a success.

How did take it_ perform from a project management standpoint?

They were fast and professional with their work. We had weekly calls and daily updates in terms of project management. Regarding tools, we used Slack, emails, and a Trello board.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication was outstanding. Take it_’s team solved and explained my questions quickly, and walked me through every step of the process, so I always knew what they were working on at the moment.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have video calls with them to get an idea of the person you’re talking with. Also, explain the project to them so they can provide feedback to you.
