Our Story

Synapse Code was founded by Valentyn Morozov after 15+ years in web development. We built the company around a simple idea: good software needs long-term ownership, not just development. Today, our senior team takes over existing business-critical applications, stabilises them, solves accumulated technical problems, and continues developing them for the long term. Many of our client relationships have lasted for years.

What Sets Us Apart

We Take Ownership

We don't just complete tickets. We take responsibility for understanding the application, identifying risks and keeping it reliable. Our goal is to become a long-term technical partner who can own the system and move it forward.

Specialists in Existing Systems

Taking over an existing application requires a different approach from building one from scratch. We audit the system, understand how it works, identify technical and business risks, stabilize it, and improve it gradually without unnecessary rewrites.

Senior, Hands-On Team

We're a compact team of experienced developers, QA and project management. Clients work directly with people who understand their application and business, allowing us to communicate clearly, make practical decisions and respond quickly.

Commonly Asked Questions

Yes. Taking over existing applications is one of our core strengths. We start by understanding the codebase, infrastructure and business-critical workflows, identify the main risks, and create a practical plan to stabilise and continue developing the system.

We specialise in long-term partnerships, but we often start with a smaller engagement such as a technical audit, urgent issue or initial development task. This gives both sides a chance to work together before committing to ongoing development and support.

We don't recommend a rewrite by default. We first assess the existing system and determine what can be improved safely. In many cases, gradual modernisation, performance improvements and targeted refactoring deliver better results with less cost and risk.

Our strongest expertise is in PHP, Laravel and Symfony, complemented by modern frontend technologies, relational databases, AWS infrastructure and third-party API integrations. We choose technologies based on the needs of the existing system rather than forcing a specific stack.

We combine development with QA, project management, monitoring and documented processes. We aim to reduce dependency on individual developers and build enough knowledge around each system so it can be maintained and developed reliably over the long term.
