Our Story

Symbols is a digital studio in Athens, working since 2013. Branding, fast websites, custom eshops, our own CMS, chatbots and AI automation, for retail, health, media and B2B. We publish our prices, fix price and timeline before we start, and hand over everything at the end: code, domain, hosting, analytics. We publish results too: a clinic went from PageSpeed 31 to 96 and paid 34% less per booked appointment, an academy gained 50% organic traffic and 38% leads. We fund carbon removal.

What Sets Us Apart

Published prices, no negotiation

Our prices are on our website, the same for everyone who asks. Price and timeline are fixed in writing before any work starts, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. You get demo links every week instead of waiting for a reveal at the end.

You own everything when we hand over

At the end of a project you own all of it: the code, the domain, the hosting account and the analytics property. We do not hold a client's domain and we do not keep a site locked in an account we control. If you ever move to another team, the handover is a transfer and not a rebuild.

We work in three sequential phases: decide, design, build. Each one is finished and approved before the next one starts, so we never design something that has to be rebuilt, and we never write code on top of a decision that is still changing. It begins with discovery. We ask what the business actually needs, look at what you have now, and come out of that conversation with a written roadmap: scope, price and delivery date, all fixed before any work begins. If we think a smaller version is the right one, or that another studio is a better fit, you hear it there and not three weeks in. Then you get a preview deployment link every Monday. You see the real site on a real URL while it is being built, not a mockup and not a reveal at the end. Feedback goes in while changing something is still cheap. We do not take rush jobs under two weeks on custom work. Hurrying produces technical debt, and the client is the one who pays for it later.

Our prices are published on our website, the same for everyone who asks. A landing page of one to three pages starts at 700 EUR, a corporate site of five to fifteen pages at 900 EUR, a content site with a blog and SEO at 1,500 EUR, and a custom web app or platform at 3,700 EUR. The range inside each depends on content volume and how much design work it needs. On timing: around three weeks for a landing or corporate site, four to six weeks for a content site with a blog, six to twelve weeks for a web app. You get the exact date in the discovery roadmap before you commit, and a preview link every Monday so you can watch the schedule being met rather than take our word for it. We do not quote a different price depending on who is asking. The number on the site is the number in the contract.

We do build in WordPress when a project genuinely needs it, usually headless. For most brand and marketing sites it is overkill: thirty plugins, a slow admin, monthly updates, and a speed problem that never fully goes away. Astro and Next.js generate static HTML that is served from the edge, close to the visitor. In practice a page opens in well under a second on a phone with a weak signal, no database is queried while someone waits, and there is no login interface exposed to the internet, so the usual attack surface of a dynamic site is significantly reduced. The site also does not decay on its own, because it does not depend on monthly plugin updates. Speed is guaranteed in the contract, at 90 or above on mobile PageSpeed, rather than promised in a proposal. One migration took a clinic from 31 to 96 on mobile, and that alone cut its cost per booked appointment by 34% on the same ad budget.

You own all of it. The code, the domain, the hosting account and the analytics property are in your name, not ours. We do not hold a client's domain and we do not keep a site locked inside an account we control. If you ever move to another team, the handover is a transfer and not a rebuild. The first 30 days of support after launch are included and not billed. We also train your team on the CMS and leave a recorded video, so somebody hired two years from now can still learn it without calling us. After that, maintenance is optional and priced monthly. On a static site there are no plugins to update, so the package is mostly content, new pages and reporting. A good number of our clients take nothing at all and simply email us when they need a page added.

Yes. Greek and English are both first languages of the team, so the brief, the calls, the written decisions, the admin interface you are handed and the support afterwards are all in English, by the same people who did the work. Nothing passes through an intermediary and nothing is translated after the fact. Copy we write for you is written in English, not written in Greek and converted. If your market needs a second language, we build the site bilingual from the start, with the hreflang pairing done properly rather than added later. We are in the Eastern European time zone, one to two hours ahead of central Europe and five to seven ahead of the US east coast. Most of the work is asynchronous, with a written summary at each stage, so you are never waiting on a call to find out where the project stands.
