I work as a Content Strategist for a full-service Publishing agency. We help independent authors with the entire lifecycle of their book - everything from professional editing and design to global distribution and marketing on platforms like Amazon. My main focus is ensuring our authors have a strong strategic presence in the market.

What challenge were you trying to address with Swift Book Marketing?

We wanted to build a strong digital footprint for our authors beyond just having their books listed on online stores. We specifically chose Swift Book Marketing to handle the SEO and digital PR for our upcoming projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Swift Book Marketing took over the Digital Marketing and Publicity for our book project. The main thing they did was getting the author featured on various news sites and book blogs to create some buzz. They also worked on the search engine side, making sure that when someone searches for the book or the author, they see professional links and articles. In the end, they provided a report with all the live links and coverage they secured for us. 
It was a very focused campaign on building the author's online reputation. Swift Book Marketing handled the core execution of the PR and SEO side directly. Their team was responsible for drafting the press releases and then pitching them to various media outlets and book bloggers to get us those features. They also took charge of the SEO, where they manually updated and optimized our author profiles to make sure they were ranking correctly. 
It wasn't just consulting; they were the ones actually doing the outreach and securing the live links for us while we just provided the necessary book information.The key goals were to ensure the author’s name and book title appeared on the first page of Google search results, secure features and interviews on niche-specific blogs and news sites to establish credibility, and create a professional online presence that helps in long-term engagement with readers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The results were very solid and exactly what we were aiming for in terms of digital presence. Within a few months, we saw a significant improvement in search engine rankings; for instance, the author's name and the book title started appearing on the first page of Google, which wasn't the case before. We also tracked the live links and features they secured, and we ended up with about 8–10 high-quality placements on reputable book blogs and news sites. 
This didn't just help with immediate visibility but also gave us great material to use for social proof in our other marketing efforts. The measurable growth in search traffic and the credibility from those media features showed that the campaign was a success.Although we don't have the exact analytics in front of us, we definitely noticed a big jump — I'd say the search traffic for the author’s name easily went up by about 40%. 
The coolest part was seeing the book move from being buried on page 5 or 6 of Google all the way to the first page for most of our main keywords within just a few months. We didn't track anything too complex, but we definitely kept an eye on the engagement on those featured articles. It was great to see people actually commenting and sharing the pieces on social media. 
We even had a few direct inquiries from readers asking for more info about the book shortly after the PR pieces went live. For me, seeing that direct interest from the audience was a huge indicator that the campaign was actually working.

How did Swift Book Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was very smooth and transparent. They kept us in the loop via email throughout the campaign and, most importantly, they delivered everything right on schedule. I never had to chase them for updates they were proactive in sharing the live links and reports as soon as they were ready.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Honestly, what really stood out to me was how much they actually cared about the author’s brand, not just the numbers. Most agencies just blast out press releases and call it a day, but the team at Swift Book Marketing took the time to find the right angle for our project. Their communication was super friendly, and they made the whole process feel like a partnership rather than just a transaction. It’s rare to find an agency that’s both professional and actually easy to talk to.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The quality of work was great, so there’s not much to complain about. If I had to pick one thing, maybe a slightly faster response time on some of our initial emails during the first week would have been nice, just because we were excited to get started. But once the project kicked off, their communication was spot on, and they more than made up for it. Other than that minor detail, they did an excellent job.
