I’m the CEO of Lowbrow Customs, a motorcycle parts and accessories company.

What challenge were you trying to address with SV-Marketing?

We needed help with PPC advertising.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SV-Marketing helps us with our PPC advertising. Initially, we discussed retargeting ads, and they took a look at our current advertising efforts. At the time, we had almost no Facebook or Instagram ads, and we were not implementing retargeting ads at all. Our efforts were self-managed, so they were very minimal.

Thus, SV-Marketing first started creating Facebook retargeting campaigns, as well as other Facebook ad campaigns. Their scope quickly grew, and our contract expanded into Google Shopping campaigns.

Since then, our engagement has grown even more. Currently, SV-Marketing manages our advertising campaigns for TikTok, YouTube, Microsoft Ad Network, Google Ads, Google Shopping, Facebook, and Instagram. Basically, they handle all of our paid ads.

We work collaboratively on creating the ads. We have in-house videographers and graphic designers, so SV-Marketing usually asks us for the material they need for the ads, and we provide those assets via Dropbox. Then, their copywriters, graphic designers, and editors take what we provided and hone it for various ad campaigns.

What is the team composition?

I mainly work with Tyler (Senior Account Manager). However, I’ve also worked with Joe (Founder) and his co-founder. Additionally, I know that they have copywriters, graphic designers, and editors working on our project.

How did you come to work with SV-Marketing?

We met SV-Marketing’s founders at a business event in Croatia, and we got along very well on a personal level — I didn’t know what they did for a living. After I learned that they offered paid marketing services, I was interested in engaging with them.

I had worked with other companies over the years, obtaining different but never highly successful results. However, I felt that, due to our friendly relationship, I could trust on SV-Marketing to provide us with great results. Thus, I contacted Joe and asked them to take a look at our PPC efforts.

How much have you invested with them?

Initially, we spent around $2,500 per month on their services, but we now spend close to $6,000 per month, not including the ad spend. Still, the price might increase some months because we launch seasonal campaigns with some extra costs involved. So far, we’ve spent between $100,000–$150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our engagement has been financially successful. Thanks to SV-Marketing’s efforts, our return on ad spend (ROAS) has been tremendously positive; we’re averaging at a 15X ROAS. That average has grown over time as we reach larger and larger audiences.

Generally speaking, SV-Marketing has exceeded our expectations, and they’ve maintained and scaled the success of our engagement. Although it has been a learning process, they’ve figured out very well what works best for my customer base, and we’ve found great success. We’ve been working together for three years, and we will continue to do so.

How did SV-Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

SV-Marketing’s performance is of an extremely high level. During peak seasons, we have biweekly Zoom meetings with Tyler and one or both founders, who mostly join when we want to experiment with new avenues or create new ads.

We collaborate via Dropbox, where we upload content assets that they can pull out at will. Additionally, we use a web-based dashboard to keep track of our ad metrics, and they provide us with a biweekly in-depth summary of those metrics. Besides Zoom, we communicate via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The way that SV-Marketing handles paid ads is very different from those other companies I worked with in the past. We sell about 8,000 different motorcycle parts, which was something that the other companies didn’t know how to handle. They would, for example, pull out a picture of a certain motorcycle part and put it on a white background, which wasn’t interesting. However, SV-Marketing has put a lot of energy into creating specific videos and images for retargeting to reach our specific customers — they offer a very customized approach.

Our joint effort in creating the content, editing it, creating the copy, and AB-testing the ads is what has got us results, and their hands-on approach has facilitated that success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I would like them to improve other than achieving more conversions for less money, but that’s what they’re working on daily.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Our success is possible because we listen to what they say and put in the effort on our side. Ensure that you work well together, focus on the tasks, and put in the effort needed. Results only come from hard work.
