Our organization hosted a multi-day conference and engaged Surefire to provide full videography and photography coverage throughout the event. Their scope of work included capturing plenary sessions, candid moments, and key event highlights.

The professionally edited highlight reel and session recordings allowed us to share content with attendees who could not be present in every session and with supporters who were unable to attend.

This process began with a brainstorming meeting with our team and Zach from Mileshko. We had some intial hesitations with this style of video because our participants needed to be very comfortable with each other. This ended up being the highlight of the film and our patrticipants personalities worked perfectly for the setup. Zach's planning and constant communication made the film day a breeze and the outcome was truly inspirational!

We worked with Zach Yokum, Creative Director for Mileshko. Zach always provides communication pre and post filming. Their editing process is fast and turnaround time from film day to final edits is unmatched. Zach will work bring your vision to life in any film creation!

This video was in the hands of our director of marketing immediately after receiving final edits. This will be promoted within our healhtcare system for not only the promotion of our fitness center offerings, but also a component involving our neurology/neuroscience team. This story is set to bring attention for community outreach and a testimony of success to our entire healthcare system in making your health a priority.

I am the manager of Employee Wellness for Wellstar Health System. My department is responsible for the customized creation and implementation of wellness programming for 24, 500 team members.

We recently opened Wellness Rooms across our entire system footprint. These spaces are unique and unlike anything else we have ever offered team members as it relates to a space to decompress and unwind as a way to relieve stress while at work. We hired Mileshko to create an innovative video depicting all of the elements within each space in a captivating way in order to boost team member awareness and utilization.

I have used Mileshko for years and the quality of their product is unmatched by any other videographer/photographer we have ever used. Their level of expertise is exactly what's needed if you want to bring your vision to life in a way that sets you a part.

I met with the Mileshko team and described by vision for the Wellness Room video. The video had to marry the soothing and calmness that each of these rooms offer while also brining in small levels of education on how and why a team member would use the room and how the space would benefit them personally.

My team wrote out their scripts, they were reviewed by Mileshko with suggestions and edits to enhance the video. We set a date and timeframe to film within and that was pretty much it. Working with we this team is always easy and more importantly fun! 7-10 days later, I had the first cut of the film in my hands, minor edits made and we called it done.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with the Zack (COO & Creative Director) and our feedback process is quick and to the point. We almost work backwards and nail down the goal of the video, the intention of it along with identifying who are target audience will be. This make the feedback process super easy as both my team and the Mileshko team are all on the same page right out of the gate.

The videos that we continue to create and commercialize with Mileshko are unlike any other videos that are sent out throughout our organization. This sets up apart and we gain a tremendous amount of traction and visibility through these efforts, which makes these projects one success after another.

Zach is always willing to hop on a quick call and brainstorm on fresh ideas and out of the box ways to present our product/services. For us, Zach is either on schedule or ahead of it!

Reinhardt University is located in Waleska, GA at the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. The 525-acre campus provides students with a variety of experiences including over 40 educational programs. As Director of Marketing & Communications, I was thrilled to work with my Mileshko team - Nathan and Abigail.

We were in need of new headshots for our new President, Mark A. Roberts, Ph.D., and scenes of him around campus with students. Additionally, a separate project was to shoot campus photography and have these designed into wall wraps to be installed at our location in Junior Achievement's Gwinnett Discovery Center. The vision was to create a feeling of walking on campus - their work exceeded our vision.

Mileshko was referred to me by the previous person in my role. The deciding factors were based on how well they listened to what we needed, offered their expertise and were flexible.

We worked with Mileshko on two projects. New president photography and Junior Achievement wall wrap installation. The new president's photoshoots were over two days. Mileshko made sure our president was comfortable and maintained an environment that was comfortable and casual. For the Junior Achievement project, this was a big one for us.

We wanted to shoot architectural-level photography of our campus to be designed by their graphic designer to create 18' wall wraps to wrap the interior of our storefront in the JA Gwinnett Discovery Center. The idea was to create the feeling of walking on campus for the 6th-grade students who attend the Discovery Center's activities. Both projects were a huge success.

Introduce your business and what you do there?

I’m the founder and president of Reflejo. We’re a nonprofit missionary organization operating from Latin America, and we send missionaries to different parts of the world.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Mileshko?

Due to the recent crisis going in Afghanistan where some of our staff and partners were involved, we needed to create video content to quickly communicate with our donors and associates about our response on the ground.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided them with our requirements and desired outcomes as well as the native files for the voiceovers. They also looked for B-roll footage for our videos. After that, they were able to put together three 5-minute videos. Then, we requested a few changes, and they did a final edit. They did Spanish and English versions, and they created different versions of our videos — with and without captions.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two people directly, one for the Spanish video and one for the English video. There were more people working behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Mileshko?

I got in contact with Mileshko through a common friend, and they agreed to jump on the project in a very short amount of time.

They did the project pro bono.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together for a few days in August 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Mileshko did an excellent job. They were professional from the start and quickly worked on our project. On top of that, they produced all the videos we needed in roughly three days.

How did Mileshko perform from a project management standpoint?

One of the things that surprised me, besides the team’s fast turnaround, was their responsiveness. They reached out to us several times throughout the day. In addition, whenever we reached out to them, they were always available. We used Frame.io to review their videos, and we communicated via phone, text, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As a faith-based organization, we appreciated that they understood our vision and the why behind our organization. Above all, they were able to convey our vision through the videos they created.

Primerica is a Financial Service company with a large field force. As the Associate Vice President of Training & Development it is my responsibility to service in-house clients for specific training for both the field force and internal corporate.

We were doing a series of tutorial videos on different Social Media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. Primerica had recently published a Social Media handbook with guidelines, suggested posts, legal do's and don'ts and specifics requirements to stay compliant while using Social Media. All of this had to be conveyed in the videos.

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

I knew members of the Mileshko team, their capabilities and sensibilities regarding how Primerica works and our expectations.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The project was originally going to have 9 videos covering different aspects of Social Media. This included an overall piece identifying where to find legal information and guidelines on our website. We were to provide approved scripts, an opening graphic, stock music and the voice over. Mileshko would do the rest. The first "overview" piece would set the look and feel for all the pieces. As the project progressed, the internal client ran into legal requirements, delayed decisions and changing information which delayed the project. We started in November but it was really December before we got going. We were to deliver 2 pieces back to the client by Jan 1 and the rest in the first quarter. Because of client delays and changes, the final project ended up being 7 videos delivered by the beginning of June.

the recruitment process was very simple. I had worked with Mileshko before and I knew they were the ones to execute this project.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Aside from making the internal client and legal happy - for approvals - my litmus test is our field force. So far the response has been quite favorable concerning clarity of information, useful information, engaging delivery and timely content.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their team was incredible. My internal team was the nightmare. There is always the "hurry up and wait" factor when dealing with clients, but my team took this to new level. However, once we got going, the Mileshko team worked tirelessly to meet deadlines, make client and legal revisions and basically jump through hoops for me, all with a pleasant demeanor.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

their creativity and execution of difficult concepts just amazes me. they always find a way to make it fresh and engaging.. Also, they had every right to complain about our missed delivery deadlines or excessive revisions, but they handled all of these challenges professionally.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only think I can point to making better is maybe better communication on my part. They are great at doing whatever you ask. There were a couple times my client or legal could have been more clear about expectations. Of course everything was worked out, but we could've saved ourselves a little time and angst had the directions been more clear.

We went into the day planning for seven videos...we ended up with 14 video files from a single shoot! We added six videos on the fly for a complete social medial campaign, and they compiled a hilarious bloopers reel from the day to share with my team.

BACKGROUND

The Peachtree Jazz Edition is a 17-piece big band, specializing in swing and Latin favorites from the 1930s and ‘40s, as well as numerous more contemporary numbers that lend themselves to traditional big band orchestration and a classic, mid-20th-century, easy-listening/dancing style. We feature songs made famous by the masters such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Shirley Bassey, and Bobby Darin, just to name a few.

The arrangements we play are often as authentic as the tunes themselves, with such famous jazz arrangers as Quincey Jones, Neal Hefti, and Nelson Riddle permeating our extensive catalog. We also perform several original big band numbers written by our own bass trombonist, Bill Greenhaw.

Always based in Peachtree City, Georgia but operating all around the metro-Atlanta area, the Peachtree Jazz Edition got its start in the fall of 1996 as the Voice of the Southland Band, a smaller 1920s and ‘30s “hot jazz” combo that was founded and directed by the late saxophonist Larry Williams.

In the summer of 2001, trumpeter David Gaissert transformed the group into its current format and instrumentation, renaming it the Peachtree Jazz Edition and focusing on Big Band Swing (large-ensemble jazz from the 1940s and up). Current musical director, saxophonist Ted Zitelli, took the reins from David in May, 2019 and serves as our musical director today. Trumpeter Dale Phenicie is the PJE’s business manager and has been from the very beginning.

The Peachtree Jazz Edition has performed in numerous venues, large and small, in and around Atlanta, ranging from the Fox Theatre’s Egyptian Ball Room and the Georgian Terrace Hotel’s Grand Ballroom (both which hosted the original big bands back in the 1930 and ‘40s); to the major downtown and Buckhead hotels, such as the Westin Peachtree Plaza, the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, and the InterContinental Buckhead.

They also performed to many of the major country clubs, including the Cherokee Town & Country Club, the Druid Hills Golf Club, and the Whitewater Creek Country Club; to other interesting venues such as the Havana Club, the Georgia Aquarium, the Georgia World Congress Center, Spivey Hall, and the Atlanta Financial Center; and, last but not least, to countless wedding/reception spots, from the most elaborate of Southern estates to cozy, suburban backyard garden parties.

The Peachtree Jazz Edition is also no stranger to working with other artists. In 2009, the PJE was invited to perform at Atlanta jazz radio station WCLK’s 35th Anniversary Concert as the opening act for 10-time Grammy Award-winning acapella Gospel group, Take 6.

The following year, the PJE opened for noted jazz trombonist Wycliffe Gordon. Members of the Peachtree Jazz Edition are all true aficionados of the repertoire they play, and the musical product we offer is the result of hundreds of collective years of experience listening to, learning about, and more than anything else, playing this style. We know you’ll hear our passion for big band jazz when we perform, and it would be our pleasure to bring this wonderful music to your event.

Once the entire band was assembled, took our group photo and did an excellent job not only snapping an awesome group photo but made everyone relaxed beforehand. During our band performance, the Mileshko Creative team worked seamlessly snapping photos and filming video.

They were practically invisible and did not interfere with our performance in the least. Incredible professionals!! BONUS - they stayed beyond the arranged time frame - on their own dime - just to ensure there would be adequate photos and video for the editing process. A rare treasure these days. Then, the incredible turn-around in editing was mind-boggling. The ease in which we could review and make "tweeks" was a pleasant & productive experience.

I am the executive director for Reformation Hope, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that engages in faith-based development, education, medical, and community projects in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. I am responsible for the overall vision, direction, and project oversight for the organization.

Our organization was facing a continuity crisis with the in-country murder of the director of our Haitian partner organization. The death of this charismatic and visionary leader threatened disrupt or shut down altogether our operations in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

We knew that urgent and compelling communication of the Haitian management transition and ongoing pursuit of the original goals/vision for the organization was essential.

Our previous work with Mileshko and their outstanding story–communicating product left us in no doubt about where to turn for the tools we needed to weather the difficult transition.

What were your goals for this project?

Our primary goal was to communicate openly and optimistically to our donor base our vision for the continuation of the development work in the countries we serve and in partnership with our indigenous organization.

This included a compelling introduction to our constituency of the new Haitian leadership and their own personal expressions of their commitment to the way forward. Our secondary goal was to communicate to the foreign communities we serve that our organization remained committed to their welfare and our investment in their development across a spectrum of life categories.

Our organization had worked previously with Mileshko in an effort to increase our on-line visual presence and improve the quality of our video-leveraged messaging and marketing.

Mileshko's previous products (which we esteemed as 'art' every bit as much as 'function'), achieved our goals and increased our visibility to our existing support base, while also enabling our pursuit of new partners and funding sources.

When I proposed using Mileshko for this new organizational challenge, our board of directors was enthusiastically supportive.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Mileshko's creation of our new communication pieces necessitated cross-cultural capabilities and sensitivities, as the videos' primary subject was Haitian and possessed limited English language skills:

1. Mileshko provided input on the scripting/messaging our organization had created.
2. Mileshko rehearsed and dramatically coached the subject in a respectful and professional manner.
3. Mileshko consulted with our organization as to the location and mood/atmosphere for the project.They utilized our offices for the location and spent a great deal of time developing the precise lighting, audio, and background elements to maximize the professional quality and communicability of the project.
4. Multiple takes from various angles and additional 'b roll' footage was collected on-site for enhancing the finished product.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Mileshko arrived to commence production with 2 videographers and 1 photographer as their raw imagery creative team. Their unedited material was then placed with the post-production editing team for developing polished and compelling story-communicating videos, which also involved the creation of subtitles.

Throughout the post-production process, Mileshko's team communicated with our organization, collecting inputs and desired changes as the video editing unfolded. None of the video messages were finalized until Mileshko had made certain that we were perfectly pleased with the results.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The release of the fall video series and the first video of the Christmas/New Year's leadership transition contributed to a 7% increase in partner investments over the 2020 budget and over the previous year 2019.

The use of the new videos on our organization website and social media improved our visitor traffic numbers, and our click rate via Mailchimp doubled. We also saw an increase in unsolicited subscribers to our organization e-newsletter.

Post engagement on Facebook was substantially higher, as were the number of 'shares.' Our board members, volunteers, and regular donors/stakeholders were extremely positive about the final video products.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Mileshko did a good job of communicating with our organization from the origination of the project (visioning, proposal, details, pre-shoot) all the way through the production and editing process. We received communication from the video team director, the lead videographer, and the photographer in prompt and responsive manner.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

While I could go on and on about the creativity of each of Mileshko's team members, their professionalism, and their positivity, I would have to say that what is always most impressive about their company is their ability to compellingly and clearly communicate our vision, our story, our message to our targeted audience.

I have never worked with a video production and creative team so gifted and visionary in being able to put together the art and the technical quality necessary to convey the ethos of our organization and its core mission to the public.

Are there any areas for improvement?

One of the reasons that our organization continues to partner with Mileshko is that there is so little to critique in their communication, professionalism, production, insight, and ease of manner.

I reviewed their work extensively with other clients (some of them national-level corporations) prior to engaging them for our organization. That investigation convinced me that there was no creative team in our entire region of the country more qualified and talented for video story-telling and message imaging.
