I met SunArc executive and was astonished to know that these people are working in the field of web technology from Bikaner itself. At that time IT means Big cities like Bangalore, Delhi etc. Being working in the same city and having option of face to face discussion was deciding factor.

In 2010, I thought of starting a e-journal. It was very difficult thing for me to start it from a small desert city of Bikaner, because I did not have exposure or knowledge of web things. Then I came in contact with SunArc Technologies.

In first meeting itself, they understood my vision and assigned one web developer for development of the website. Within a month my e-journal- "Journal of Livestock Science" was launched. In their technical language it was developed, designed and hosted on server ( I still donot understand these jargons clearly).

The SEO was perfect and all articles published in this journal were soon available (can be searched through) Google and Google scholar. Slowly it gained reputation. Then hackers attacked it, but SunArc people were swift and restored it within a day.

In total I worked with 3-4 people. Web developer to CEO of the Company.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Now Journal of Livestock Science is twelve year old Journal. It is indexed in Web of Science, EBSCO, CABI and Google Scholar with high scholar citation metrics.. It has now NAAS rating of 4.93 and researchers from more than 15 countries have submitted their research papers to this Journal.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very smooth. I was naive and didnot have any knowledge about computer, web designing, hosting and domain names etc. The executives of SunArc were down to earth people always madde me comfortable to share my vision with them. And they converted it into a website. The bond id continuing and getting strong.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were superb in their domain and expertise. But are down to earth attitude, always customer friendly. Ready to serve in emergency 24x7x365.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They have done best. And are continuing to manage the website smoothly.

I’m the operations executive at Alokozay, a well-known retail company that manufactures consumer goods. We have over 500 employees. I’m a part of the IT team that handles our e-commerce and corporate sites.

What challenge were you trying to address with SunArc Technologies?

We needed a company to help us manage and maintain our corporate website. We developed our website. However, it had a lot of glitches, and the UX wasn’t great. We also needed to implement a few functionalities to the backend.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SunArc Technologies helps us with web design, development, and maintenance for our website. They use PHP, AngularJS, Ajax, and MySQL for the backend. For the frontend, they use HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap. We didn’t give them super detailed instructions. We just gave them an overview of what we wanted and discussed the project with them.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with 3-4 people from SunArc Technologies, including a dedicated full stack developer. There’s also a person who takes care of the designs and a business analyst who communicates the requirements to the development team.

How did you come to work with SunArc Technologies?

We did a Google search and shortlisted 4–5 companies. We chose SunArc Technologies based on their portfolio and previous experience.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with SunArc Technologies’ work. They’re reliable in allocating project resources when needed. Before our engagement, we had issues with the UX and the mapping functionality of our site. Additionally, it only was available in a single language. Now, our site is multilingual, and most issues have been resolved. They’ve also added more functionalities to it.

How did SunArc Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

SunArc Technologies is always available. We use Skype and email to communicate. For every stage of the project, we send them our requirements, and they check they can implement them. Then, we have a call to discuss the possibility of implementing them and the cost it will have.

What did you find most impressive about them?

SunArc Technologies is dedicated. If something is urgent, they make sure to take care of it, even if it's a holiday.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing SunArc Technologies could improve on. — they’ve made good and helpful suggestions.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Discuss what you want in detail and be very clear about your requirements. If you don’t know what you want, you can have detailed discussions with them to come up with it.

We needed them to help us with design services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SunArc Technologies provides us with a few design elements, mostly on creating creatives such as banners, emails, and PDF flyers. At the same time, we ask them to do other tasks that my other members have sent us to do. 

They’ve helped us with many webinars before. We have an overarching theme for each webinar, and everything is different for each theme. One of the projects they did for us was an invitation flyer for a webinar, which involved the creation of Photoshopped images in a PDF document. We give them the requirements accordingly, and they know what we expect from them. I send them a request via email, and then they execute and complete it.

What is the team composition?

Pankaj (Project Manager) is my main point of contact. He distributes the job to the designers on their team. Usually, I send him what I’m asking them to do, and he comes back and gives me the creatives we requested.

How did you come to work with SunArc Technologies?

Firstly, I knew they were based in India, or at least somewhere in Asia. This has allowed our time difference to be one hour ahead on our end, which we find to be a good advantage for us. We have other creatives working with us as well but their work has been up to par so far.  

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2020, and it’s an ongoing partnership. We still have many different projects, and we’re passing them to SunArc to help us out.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The success would depend on whether my team finds the work up to standard. We’re doing marketing for webinars and products, and we send their work to our customers through either email or PDF. That way, my team can tell whether the outcome is suitable to be sent out to the public. In that sense, everything is going well so far. SunArc’s professionalism and turnaround time are pretty good. 

How did SunArc Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

In terms of project management, we mostly communicate through Skype, email, and Google Sheets. I send them edits through email so we can keep track of them. 

In terms of the number of hours that they charged us for after that, I try to keep it more standardized and transparent. At the moment, they are transparent, but there are not enough details on the number of hours. Sometimes, they quote us 10 hours, but then we request more work. Therefore, they give us the estimate first, and then the actual number of hours after that can be more.

What did you find most impressive about them?

SunArc provides good quality and professionalism in terms of turnaround time. They always get the job done and deliver in a five-out-of-five-star way. The quality of their work is 10/10. 

In terms of the assets that they provide us, they have a good creative flow. At the same time, they can be up to the very specific details that we want them to do, which is very good as well. They’re able to do almost all of our requests, such as Photoshop or video editing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Currently, the turnaround time seems to be a bit slower. Recently, one of my team members was not happy with this, and I told Pankaj about it. We’ve also increased our demand, which might be why they’ve increased their turnaround time. However, I know they’re working on it and trying to fix it. 

Any advice for potential customers?

You can give them free rein on the creatives, and if the team wants to make certain adjustments, be very specific about them. Double-check the work also because sometimes, when I’ve received a PDF file back, it’d have some copy-and-paste errors. Therefore, check the work and, at the same time, give specific instructions.

They were timely and can make quick changes for me on the fly. This was one of my main criteria as we tend to tweak our assets quite a bit as we gather more data from our marketing campaigns.

The project consisted of developing 4 company websites. Each client had different inquiries. Each site has its own meaning / touch to it. We were able to gather all intel first that all companies required. I was presented moth multiple options and designs. At the clients request sun arc was able to customize the project designs to the clients likings.

Though out these project I only delt with only 2 people. One for customer relation and sales and the other was the developer.

I can’t not express in words the great experience I’ve had working with SunArc team. They are all very respectful, very helpful, knowledgeable, and very thorough on every aspect of the project. They never made me feel any doubt in their work or abilities to complete the projects.

I have to say that there project management is on point! They gave great experience being that we are opposite side of the world I always got that one on one experience and was never pushed off to someone that didn’t know what they were doing. I need to also mention their documentation is on point! They save and document everything which is great!

The way they communicate with their clients / customers. They make you feel welcomed like when you walk into someone’s home. I felt welcomed and comfortable and confident to work with them.

I think you can say ..yes there is always room for improvement, but I honestly can’t think of any, they are are simply great and I would recommend them!
