We met with several development companies, sugar rush creative, being one. Once we had heard what they could deliver and the upfront honestly and openess of our meetings the decision was an easy one. We hired Sugar Rush Creative to design and build out application.

Describe the project in detail.

CompliApp was a pipe dream for me and after meeting the team and Sugar Rush I was able to visualise how it would look and how I could bhuod my business with their knowledge and expertise. Compliapp captures data in two ways. 1 engineers physically on site carry out compliance monitoring and fill out the tests on the app to send back to head office and the client to give real time compliance. We have built in algorithms and parameters to remove the human error aspect allowing for accurate and reliable data to be stored for the client compliance data. 2 we have developed absolute real time montioring of temperature using probe data to feed back information 24/7 allowing for full compliance temperature monitoring

The team composition was Sugar rush Director Account manager Front end developers Back end developers App developers We had main communication with the account manager through email and communication portals. During meetings all staff were made available for progress updates and giving feedback on what works best from a User experience point of view.

From initial testing to full launch we have seen exponential growth and now have a global product in several countries

The work flow was seamless and effortless Utilising communication platforms we were able to see every step of the build and had several update meetings along the way with tweaks and adjustments that were all taken in the studios stride.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Most impressive was their knowledge of what we needed—they knew more about the app we needed than we did. Giving sugar rush our "baby" and watching it grow from a thought to a reality was an amazing experience.

I am the founder of Q Review an online data company focussing on consumer experience in the services sector. We gather, harvest and analyse data using sentiment analysis through an integrated algorithm that highlights the positive and negative of consumer experience.

We engaged Sugar Rush Creative to design and develop our website, app and animation video which tells the Q Review story.

What were your goals for this project?

A fully functioning website and app that would have strategic reach globally to consumers who use services sectors products. The services sectors we selected were Energy (oil, gas, water, electricity, renewables), Telecommunications, Insurance, Banking & Finance, Airlines, Airports and Car Hire. Sugar Rush Creative worked with us to design the individual landing pages for each sector and the home and about us pages.

The functionality was to create a simple user friendly offering that facilitated ease of navigation around the site for consumers with the capacity to retain the data captured for consumers to use as benchmarking for their own future expenditure across these sectors.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We contacted a number of vendors but selected Sugar Rush Creative primarily due to their capacity to understand what we wanted and the ease with which the client relationship was developed from initial contact to awarding the piece of work. Price was a factor, but it was the vendor / client relationship that sold it.

Describe the project in detail.

We had a number of initial meetings to discuss what we wanted the site to look like, branding, colour and messaging, all of which was to reach out to a global audience. Then we looked at the various sectors we had selected: Energy. Telecommunications, Insurance, Banking & Finance, Airlines, Airports and Car Hire. The first part was to look at the home page then the About Us, Sign Up, Companies Page then moving on to the landing pages for the various sectors. Functionality was a key ingredient to make use of the site as easy possible for consumers and this was achieved. Once Sugar Rush had created the website we moved on to the App and again it was focused on ensuring the branding and functionality were replicated from the website. The animation video became the last piece of the jigsaw which was designed and developed to tell the Q Review story. This was actually good fun to create. Throughout the entire development phase moving through the work strands, the relationship continually developed and became the cornerstone of the success of the project coupled with Sugar Rush's capacity to develop a suite of quality products.

What was the team composition?

Our first engagement was with the owner of Sugar Rush Creative (Ali) and then we were assigned the Studio Manager (Nicola). On our side there were two of us, the founder and co founder. Throughout, Ali and Nicola were instrumental in ensuring that we were completely happy with the development process and keeping us updated with progress.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The outcome was a fully functional, very attractive clean bright website and app that has been frequently complimented on by users and other businesses. Further, we have accrued consumer reviews adding to our data bank that is the fundamental part of our service offering.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was seamless and worked on the principle of collaboration between both parties which highlighted the ease with which the project was delivered through the client / supplier relationship.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Quality of the final products. Client relationship which was excellent. Their openness to change and ideas. If we wanted something changed, it was never a problem. Willingness to offer ideas and to highlight to us to think about the outcomes in a different way. Their personality and sense of humour as we worked through the work strands to the final products; it was infectious. Even when the final products were delivered, the relationship continues and we catch up periodically. This is refreshing when compared to other suppliers who upon delivering the product, you pay your invoice and you never hear from them again. Sugar Rush Creative and Q Review are a continuing collaborative relationship where Sugar Rush are genuinely interested in your success. We really enjoyed working with them and highly recommend them to others.

No. We were hugely impressed from the outset from our initial meeting to present day with how Sugar Rush worked with us and continue to do so.

I’m a director at Jackson Reece, an organic skincare company that focuses on baby products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sugar Rush Creative?

The first problem was that we needed to be able to explain what our line of business was in a simple manner. That's why we decided to make an explainer video.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They set up Basecamp so we could discuss the design of the explainer video, as in what we needed to include, what key messages we needed to get across, and to paint our graphics. They created the video using existing graphics and original animation and designing further graphics. We also had a voiceover and lines of text to go with it. We requested subtitles because we do trade shows with foreign customers who can sometimes read English but can’t to speak it or listen so well. The video is also being used on the web as an advertisement for people to click into and find out exactly who we are and what we do.

What is the team composition?

We worked with their studio manager, and another woman she brought in for the graphic design element. There was also a guy looking after the animation side of it, and a panel of people we could choose from for voiceovers.

My husband googled “animation explainer videos,” and I found them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent £10,000 ($12,800 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April and the project was completed in July 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The explainer video is going to be used at trade shows, so it's been a big help to foreign customers whose first language isn’t English. It's on YouTube as well for people to research with about 110,00 hits so far.

The video was creative and broke down the status of our business and what makes us different from other companies. It explained us in a simplistic manner but with a bit of fun as well, to engage people. It was first class.

How did Sugar Rush Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve never had a project managed so well and so professionally, to be honest. That's where they really stood out. We communicated in Basecamp, so anybody in our organization or Sugar Rush’s who had a link could see it and see what was happening with the project. Everybody was kept informed on a daily basis, so that aspect was phenomenal. Their service and work were excellent. There were just a fantastic company to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'd say the project management and the fact that when they set a deadline, they stuck to it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I actually don't have any comments that they could improve on because everything was excellent.

Any advice for potential customers?

I would highly recommend them to any company. I would normally be very carefully to recommend them, because it's my name as well, but I have absolutely no doubts about Sugar Rush.
