I'm the founder of a bootstrapped SaaS company

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Stunntech Innovations, and what were your goals?

We hired Stunntech to build a web app. As we don't have a CTO, we needed to outsource this role.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We got in touch in an online forum. After the initial conversation and a very positive impression I reached out to 2 former clients of Stunntech (who are also based in Germany), to get some more insights on the quality of work and project management. We started with a fixed pilot project but moved to a monthly tender quickly.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Web App from Scratch. Including iterative UX development (worked mostly in Figma). We used Trello to keep track of tasks with Kanban. Communicated via Slack. App is Hosted on AWS. Use Angular. Use MogoDB. Main challenge was custom dev for a organizational chart builder, because we couldn't find any library that would deliver what we needed.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with 3 people in total. Sasank was the project manager, + 2 developers who supported on the back-end and front-end side of the product.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Although a web app might never be fully "done". The App is live and working great. Stunntech is continously providing support.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Communication was handled via Slack and standing calls. Project management was handled in Trello. Stunntech did a great job following along with out iterative product design approach.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Certainly the effort they put into the projects. Even if things don't always work at the first try. Be it because the specs weren't clear, or because they have misunderstood something, they always made sure to find a solution. I was skeptical before outsourcing the project, but they never gave me reasons to doubt their good intentions. And that's at the foundation of any good relationship.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We needed a couple of weeks to get in sync with project management. They expected me to give mor precise instructions. And I expected them to tell me what they need more directly.
