The goal was to create a digestible explainer of our product to use in the sales process, as well as on our website. We also wanted to ensure there will multiple cuts to use on social. We are still measuring results, but overall the output of the project was exceptional.

I’m the CMO of UserGems, an AI solution for sales and marketing. We help companies build an outbound pipeline by using different buying signals and AI agents to follow up.

What challenge were you trying to address with Studio Lewis?

We had just launched our AI outbound agent and needed someone to put together an explainer and teaser video to promote the launch. We also wanted to educate our potential customers about the AI agent.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Studio Lewis produced an explainer and teaser videos of our product. The team put together the draft, storyline, storyboard, animation, and music. We initially had a call with Connor to understand our products and what we were trying to communicate. We wrote the script, and Studio Lewis gave us feedback and provided comments on our draft. They also worked with an animator to brainstorm and bring our ideas to life creatively. The team created the video's design and selected the music based on my recommendations.

We found Studio Lewis through word of mouth from someone who had already worked with them. We reached out and got a quote; it was right before the Christmas holiday, so it was great that they could turn around the quote quickly.

We chose them because we had a short timeline, and Studio Lewis was agile and could move at the pace we needed. Their pricing also seemed fair.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We launched the video a week ago, and it helped us generate a lot of awareness. It was one of the many assets we used in our promotion to launch our AI product. We doubled our launch goal, and the video was definitely part of that.

People commented on our social media posts and said the video was awesome. It was an explainer video that didn’t feel like the boring, typical explainer videos that can be seen online everywhere. The video was engaging and communicated the key points in less than a minute, which was hard for our product. Users engaged and watched the video until the end.

How did Studio Lewis perform from a project management standpoint?

Connor was very organized. When we started the engagement, he had a timeline already mapped out with different deliverables by day and week. He was committed and clear, which gave us confidence that he'd stayed on track. He also shared a Notion page with us showing the timeline. The timeline they set out was the timeline they executed against.

Studio Lewis was very responsive. We created a Slack channel, and Connor was very easy to communicate with. If anything, they exceeded expectations regarding project management and delivering the assets.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Both Connor and the animator were amazing. The animator turned things around quickly. We made a lot of comments and requests for edits, and he managed to turn things around quickly. I also requested a short version to send to some of our investors earlier than the deadline, and he was quick and accommodating.

On the other hand, Connor understood our industry and landscape. He had worked with numerous other companies in a similar space. Working with Connor was very different from working with other consultants or agencies that just come in with a creative mind but don't really understand the inner workings and complexity of the space we're in. Connor had been working in our industry for a while and felt like a part of the team. He made recommendations to improve our storyline to make it easier to understand — it felt more like a partnership than just a freelancer executing tasks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The holiday, the short timeline, the technical product, and the B2B space which is typically boring and hard to explain. I hope Studio Lewis keeps doing what they're doing because they're really good.

No, they exceeded my expectations.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Studio Lewis schedules a meeting at the beginning of the engagement, and Connor shared with me that not many companies are as prepared for these calls. We were really structured and had all the documents already lined up regarding what we wanted to communicate. Before you engage with an agency, the clearer your brief and what you want to get out of it, the easier your life will be. This way, Studio Lewis can move as quickly as possible.

My company was about to go to Mexico City for an offsite. I wanted to produce a Warmly film with them as th cast members. I also wanted it to be high production hollywood style content with lights, sound, and camera crew. 

The film itself would be a short film that we could then cut up into shorts for social and ads. I'd also want to make sure the script told the story about Warmly and captured our brand. 

Finally, post-production I wanted to make sure the music, pace, and vibe of the movie was something we could be proud of and would be distributed across all our marketing and sales channels.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

When we launched the movie on LinkedIn we had almost 100,000 impression just on this channel alone. We'll be pushing more ad dollars behind it so it'll jump even more from there. And the movie itself sits at the splash page of our homepage and we get around 40,000 visitors.

When Connor and our sales conference teams started attending sales conferences like Hubspot Inbound, Apollo, and Saastr almost everyone in the rooms were commenting about Warmly's new high production video. Within the sales and SDR slack communities members started to share our movie around on their own. It spread through viral word of mouth and people started to associate our brand with fun, exciting, and innovative.

Incredible at every step, truly. Connor has been a joy to work with, learned our brand quickly. We stayed in contact over text message primarily constantly sharing each other voice notes, loom videos, and messages to brainstorm our shared vision for what we wanted the film to look like. 
Connor always responded what I felt was immediately. And he did hit project deadlines. It was an extremely ambitious project given the timeline and the fact that we needed to shoot in Mexico. Connor needed to work inside of our already shoe string budget to find lights and camera crew to come on set to shoot with our team. Post-production work was also a joy, and Connor took every piece of feedback and thought to heart before we finally came away with what I believe to be a masterpiece, considering this is our first time doing a high-production film.

I thought Connor's ability to work and truly partner with me on a very personal level is why I would recommend him to anybody. I explained my vision and we continued to iterate towards it. He learned the sales persona and even asked sales friends of his if the script resonated with them before continuing forward. 
He really tried to incorporate all my ideas but was firm with his own opinions based on his experience of where we needed to draw the line as well. So the movie they produced captured our brand, and my personal vision, while remaining cohesive as a high production film in its own right.

Studio Lewis collaborated with us to create 17 educational videos designed to teach our clients and prospects about our branded assets, Reference Profiles. The project involved filming four actors delivering scripts for the 17 videos, which were then condensed into 1-minute overviews.

The team was responsible for managing sound, editing, and production, all while working under tight deadlines to ensure a fast turnaround. The result was a series of well-produced, concise video overviews that effectively communicated our key messages.

Typically, I find it’s one or the other, but this process allowed room for innovation while staying on track. As the account lead, I didn’t have to worry much—everything ran smoothly and efficiently.

It was a relaxed, enjoyable experience that excited me to be part of the process without feeling overwhelmed. The turnaround was quick, the results were effective, and the pricing was very fair. Connor is easygoing, collaborative, and always brings fresh ideas to the table.

The video ads received over 40,000 views with a 30% view rate on LinkedIn, and hundreds of plays on our website and on other syndicated content, and several prospects who became customers commented that the videos were what made us stand out from the competition. The podcast also received hundreds of plays, drove over 2,000 new visitors to our site, and reached over 54,000 followers on LinkedIn. These projects were a huge success for brand visibility, trust, and differentiation.

Studio Lewis ensures they deliver a high-quality product efficiently and on time, but sometimes, it might benefit them to slow down to get as much feedback as they can before putting too much work in. This is probably more the fault of the client being unresponsive, though.
